One drop doesn’t equal one dropper full! Holy cow! And I have looked at that site many many times and it does tell you all over the place the amount of a “drop”. Even reading through the comments people tell you what you need to do. She definitely did not do her research. 😮
The fact this girl has no self awareness of what she did wrong is kind disturbing. How can you not see you put half the bottle of blue in your conditioner??🤔😂
Imagine being Shrine and people leaving you bad reviews because they don't know what a drop means? Unbelievable, it's like how you have to put "do not ingest" on some products, there's always that one person...
Exactly especially when she saw it's gone more blue can't she figure out it's because she added more of the blue product!! She uses very small brain capacity
That’s what I thought. I’ve seen other girls do this and it worked but they did use it properly. I swear I heard her say drops and then when she started putting the amount in the conditioner, I was like whoa that’s not a drop. Maybe she needed to get a really tiny dropper or for children meds or something. I don’t know, it’s so sad.
Holy shit this is giving me anxiety! And the girl will not consider for a second that it is HER fault! No, it's everything and everyone else's fault, not hers!
I've used Shrine drops and it definitely explained that one drop is one drop, NOT one pipette, which is what she did. One pipette is equal to about 6 drops in my experience, so she did two of each color, or 12 drops of each color! Now for the good news: it washes out super easily so just shampoo, shampoo, shampoo and everything will be ok!
Absolutely. I have white (naturally) hair, and SHRINE is great because I can barely tint it, or I can go vivid. It all depends on how many drops you use. If you want vivid you use pipettes, not drops.
if you read the response from Shrine it thanked her for sharing her video so they could see how she mixed the pigment. Shrine pointed out that the amount she used was more than recommended for toning so that's why she got her unexpected result. she is leaving that part out of her review/experience so that she doesn't have to admit she caused her own problem.
I don't know why people are so quick to blame something (or someone) else, rather than question themselves first. That's no drop. It did look difficult to 'drop', too thick almost.. but surely someone can tell a drop between a blob?! I was going to say hopefully she realises her mistake now, but I'm 99% sure her comment section will be full of "that was way too much!" and she will definitely be told!
I’ve seen it in other videos too. They seem to confuse an entire dropper full with a drop. It’s so weird. Especially since she keeps saying she’s watched their videos which not only show what a drop looks like, but what color the conditioner should look like when you use it. It was obviously a very intense blue when she put it on.
I use these shrine drops all the time! Easy to colour your hair, especially if you like changing your hair colour often. They last a long time and completely wash out. They’re FANTASTIC if you use and apply them properly 😉
This reminds me of the lady who wanted to sue a frozen fruit pie company because she put her pie in an oven set dangerously too high and burned her pie to a cinder. Oh, the mockery on social media she experienced! Hopefully this lovely but clueless Smurfy young woman got some healthy mockery on her socials and won't make this mistake again. Thanks for posting!
I wondered if she was about to do dropperfulls. I’ve seen this in other videos. I do not understand how someone could confuse a dropperfull for one drop. Also, you can SEE the color of the conditioner. This is not oxidative dye that has to develop. Direct pigments and semi permanent dyes look like the color that they are. They might be different when they mix with your hair color, but the intensity of the color will not get less or more. If it’s not pastel then it’s not going to tone your hair, it’s going to color it.
Ya, but I'm convinced people get confused because the purple and blue toning shampoos and masks are SUPER vivid and dark. So even though the conditioner looks bright, they think it will be ok because its still lighter than purple shampoo.
I know! That last girl, she didn't understand anything, and couldn't even figure out what a drop was. Like...those 'drops' of hers were not anything close to drops. They were globs. Big big globs.
When I saw what her drops looked like, I laughed. I understand what a drop looks like. It looks like she used 2 teaspoons of blue and 1 or 2 teaspoons of purple. I showed my mom her "drops" and she even said, " those are not drops, that is way too much". When you are not experienced, get the thoughts of measurements from others around you and see the difference. Don't believe you know everything, experience and knowledge is key.
The amount of confusion this girl is experiencing is shocking compared to the confidence she had in the beginning. She even said that there were no solid directions given on any of the tutorials that she watched so idk why she thought she had this figured out. Also, like Buddha said, she doesn't know what drops are, apparently, and that's a huge problem here lol this video was a trip
In her defense, I have those products and they’re not really easy to dispense properly. I never seem to be able to just get drops. But also to the defense of the product, on the side of the box it gives you a gradient and the amount of drops it takes to achieve each color so if you want to tone you have to use less than what they suggest. But also this company provides actual toner so idk why she didn’t just buy that. They have a grey color too.
From your experience with the company this makes me wonder is she just trolling?? I just don’t understand her confusion at how she doesn’t understand at how she messed up and completely ignored other products on the website that are targeted for what she wanted
When I taught chemistry labs, the difference between "drop" and "dropperful" needed to be taught over and over. And yes, I was as stunned as you were here the first time.

I gotta say these hair Buddha videos are the bees knees! Im running on 2 hours of sleep in 2 days and watching these back to back has got me in a real mellow state of mind! Thanks for that!
I went to a professional hair stylist to try a purple and very pale silvery gray combo because I have fine, yet abundant hair with just a few grays here and there. I was intimidated by the bleaching process as I had never bleached my hair before. I am still being very gentle with my hair and I am happy with it. This was something I wanted to try for the experience. These kinds of colors weren't nearly as nice as when I was a young teenager and then a young 20 something.. I'm 50 something now and on disability after being the pedestrian in a hit and run a few years ago. So there is no employer to give me restrictions on what I do with my hair. I call it my bucket list hairdo. I figured it would be a fun experience. Silvery gray on top, a blue lavender on bottom half of hair. I'm greatly enjoying it and even have some new makeup to try to go with it.
30 seconds in and i already know whats about to happen 🤣 ........ someone needs to tell people that semi permanent colors ARE NOT the same as purple shampoos. I dont know if you've ever seen the manic panic toner but it is pale pale PALE lilac. Like almost white. If you color your dye the same as a purple shampoo you're gonna be purple 100%
I think it made her hair look healthier and thicker too. She should have just picked out the blonde pieces and re-dyed those to that same cornflower blue. I honestly think it looked nice
You say without the viewers your channel is nothing, but without your videos we have less to watch. You are fun, informative, fun, a teacher, and the mustache and beard are fantastic ❤

This channel is as close to TikTok as I have ever been - or ever will be. I have read about too many dangerous actions occurring due to confused people chasing popularity. My favorite part of this channel is HB's facial expressions and remarks/timing. 500k Subscribers is imminent! Indeed well-deserved.
From the days LONG AGO when the little old ladies sitting in the shop under the dryers on a Saturday getting their hair done. They “all” had blue tinted hair back then. Bless ‘em ✌🏻
Aside from the color, her hair looks THIRSTY! It’s so porous, so that may have had an impact on the results…. But yeah- I couldn’t BELIEVE the “drop” size! The 1st “drop” was like 4+ drops, at least! ❤ you Hair Buddha! You’re a total genius in your craft and I learn SO MUCH from you everyday. 😊
Blue and purple semi permanent colors don't tone your yellow bleached hair to white. She is probably as confused as everybody who uses purple shampoo as a toner for their orange/yellow hair.
It depends how yellow it is. If it's a very pale yellow then you can get a nice "white" platinum by toning with purple shampoo. I had a full head of highlights for many years and did just that, although I did have to tone it with every wash as the shampoo isn't very pigmented. It won't make orange or pee yellow white though, no.
@@G-Star-Raw depends how strong it is, how porous your hair is, and how long you leave it on. I maintained my ash white blonde for years with just purple shampoo after lifting it to pale yellow. The problem is in how these people use it, and what they expect of it.
@@G-Star-Raw I said ash white blonde. Which is in fact white. Toned ash. Not ash blonde. Would it help you understand if I used numbers instead? How about it's naturally a level 8 ash blonde that was lifted to level 12 and then toned to knock out the minimal remaining yellow? Nobody's hair is "pure white" whatever that's supposed to mean. At least not until they go white naturally, which isn't the same as going grey. It isn't only white if it's neutral in tone lol.
I have similar purple drops I can add to my shampoo & conditioner to help with brassiness on wet hair. I used to think it wasn't strong enough but now I won't complain!!
I think she’s confusing this with the purple colored shampoo / conditioner that you can buy for greying hair… the color looks about as dark as what she mixed, but that doesn’t mean it’s the same. If the pigment is an actual “dye”, it’s gonna be intense (if you’ve ever had an in pen leak all over your hands, you know it does not come out easily like, say, an ordinary magic marker would). Beyond that, she’s clearly confusing “drops” with “dropper” 🙄. We could probably blame the language barrier, but I am not super confident that’s the only confusion at play here. File this under: “learning experience” … oh wait, she did it wrong twice, so isn’t doing the “learning” part. Ok then, file this under: “experience” 🎨🙄… bless her heart 🤭
That’s was I was thinking. I know this is old but if she wanted to tone her hair you add color to shampoo. I learned this accidentally. I was trying to do a lavender color & grabbed shampoo instead of conditioner (the bottles looked similar lol) it was a happy accident for me.
THAT ARE NOT DROPS!! 😮😅 Lol I love your reactions, thank you for the informative and entertaining videos! I love coloring my hair, and you’ve taught me a lot!
That was funny. Thanks! 😁 I've been dying my short pixie hair blue with Directions for over a year, bleaching my roots about every two months. But even on such short hair, if you really want just a single shade on your head, the pigment needs to be applied very saturated and evenly. With her hair length, the sections should really be very fine. 🤪😁
I use this method ! To know how much color I need I put it first on my hand and see how much it stains my skin and then I add more conditioner or purple pigments :) love it !
"My hair is blue, it's BLUE" reminds me of the movie Bride Wars. Also you can tell that hair has not been taken care off, did nothing to recover some moisture or hydration but wanna keep processing it🤦🏻♂️
She should have just used the Christophe Robin colour depositing mask in Baby Blonde. It's a dark bluish purple but just cools down any golden tones in the hair without leaving any blue or purple colour behind - it's a fabulous product and, also, deeply nourishing. My hair feels like silk after I've used it. The effects last about 5 washes. She wouldn't have had to go through all this drama! How on earth can someone not understand what a drop is?!
I don't remember her mentioning how long she left this on but it must have been on for quite a while. That pigment must be really strong. I squeeze a whole tube of purple direct dye plus a whole tube of silver dye into about 12oz of conditioner. It looks very dark purple/grey. I use this conditioner about once a month to make my grey hair look more silver and my light brown hair look a bit less golden. It works great. I only leave it on for about 3-5 minutes. I get zero purple unless I leave it for a lot longer and even then it's only slightly purple on my whitest greys. I don't know what happened here but that pigment she used is scary strong.
Dear HairBuddha, as you thank me for being here I also would like to thank You for being here for all of us. I admire your knowledge and jewellery (makes great sound haha), I will remember fine sections probably forever and your other tips as well. You are amazing and I love your videos. Thank You.
with this product the dye is pure colour that’s why u mix it with conditioner to water it down . When used properly it’s actually really good and they do wash out . The pink and "peach" fully do . Purple should do it does if u use it to make lilac and I don’t know about the blue because I only ever used the purple and blue as toner and never had this problem she did
Colour conditioners are so hit and miss. I wanted to try one to refresh my already red hair and it turned it orange ( my hair is auburn) and took a long time to fade out! My friend did have a good experience with a dark brown one on her light brown hair though :)
Ion makes a great line of vivid colored conditioning masks, it's what i use to refresh my red hair between coloring. It comes out SUPER bright but fades fairly quickly and reliably. Takes me from auburn gaded red to a dark blood red (natural brown underneath) "hot reds" is what its called $10 at sallys.
Hair Buddah I'm a 35yr veteran of diy hair and I feel your hair dresser's heart's pain. I didn't have the benefit of the internet but never had fails like you see on the regular. Perhaps it was a saving grace not to have contradictory info from the web. Anyway I ❤❤❤❤ your channel!
When I feel like colouring my 100% natural grey hair (sort of looks blond) I use a little bit of L’Oréal Colourista mixed with a lot of conditioner (a tip my hair stylist taught me). I’m happy with how it turns out every time. Recently I bought a similar product from Schwarzkopf and it was super strong. I should have done a strand test! I left it in for about 8 minutes and the colour was too intense for me. Lots of head and shoulders and swimming in chlorine and it was perfect about 10 days later! Hahahaha. Love your channel!
I hope she doesn't need to take medication drops one day 🤭

That's the problem in more and more societies these days. People are generally not willing to admit mistakes.

The fact this girl has no self awareness of what she did wrong is kind disturbing. How can you not see you put half the bottle of blue in your conditioner??🤔😂

Absolutely. I have white (naturally) hair, and SHRINE is great because I can barely tint it, or I can go vivid. It all depends on how many drops you use. If you want vivid you use pipettes, not drops.
A good chelating shampoo would have pulled most of that blue back off pretty easily, probably given her a pale steely blue-grey color.
Even if it were a pipette, she didn't even do that. Just random size squirts here and there.

@@G-Star-Raw also if that's you in the picture, that isn't white.
I have similar purple drops I can add to my shampoo & conditioner to help with brassiness on wet hair. I used to think it wasn't strong enough but now I won't complain!!
8:57 The shock in Hair Buddha's face when she added the color to the conditioner is priceless 😂😂😂😂
Ok then, file this under: “experience”
🎨🙄… bless her heart 🤭
That’s was I was thinking. I know this is old but if she wanted to tone her hair you add color to shampoo. I learned this accidentally. I was trying to do a lavender color & grabbed shampoo instead of conditioner (the bottles looked similar lol) it was a happy accident for me.
THAT ARE NOT DROPS!! 😮😅 Lol I love your reactions, thank you for the informative and entertaining videos! I love coloring my hair, and you’ve taught me a lot!
My face the moment that first "drop" went in: 😳
Love you! Education and a good hearted chuckle, how can we NOT watch you 💜💜💜💜
I went and checked on her channel, she has learnt what drops are since.
That was funny. Thanks! 😁
I've been dying my short pixie hair blue with Directions for over a year, bleaching my roots about every two months. But even on such short hair, if you really want just a single shade on your head, the pigment needs to be applied very saturated and evenly. With her hair length, the sections should really be very fine. 🤪😁
Hello Hair Buddha! Cup of tea and your new video..my life is complete 👋👋xx
I’m glad she just worked with it. She looks pretty with blue hair!! 🌸
I use this method ! To know how much color I need I put it first on my hand and see how much it stains my skin and then I add more conditioner or purple pigments :) love it !
Hair Buddha Fridays!!! WEEEEEEEE!!!🙌🙌🙌
I love your facial expressions Buddha! You make my day!
Exactly! Some days he has me laughing all day with facial expressions and things he says!
@@theresafeeney2756 That's why we watch him my friend. Have a great day!!
final result, but patchy. she should go blue - using a better dye perhaps. she looks gorgeous with blue hair. totally gorgeous. 💙💙💙
The dark blue shade is gorgeous!
Oh Buddha! I always click your videos!! I love them
"My hair is blue, it's BLUE" reminds me of the movie Bride Wars.
Shrines response was spot on 🤣 I take it many many people dont know what a drop is.
Shrine HAS a toner... But it's not the purple dye!!! LOL
It's different with bleached hair too, that's dry and sucks up the moisture.
It's almost like she wasn't sure what the difference is between a drop and a dropper-full, so split the difference and went somewhere in between🤔
Oh boy!! Drops woman, DROPS!!
Dear HairBuddha, as you thank me for being here I also would like to thank You for being here for all of us. I admire your knowledge and jewellery (makes great sound haha), I will remember fine sections probably forever and your other tips as well. You are amazing and I love your videos. Thank You.
Love love love your videos. I’ve learned so much and get a good laugh too. Thank you for making my day brighter. ❤❤
Thank you so much for Working so Hard for us!Have a blessed holiday evetybody🎅🎄🎁🌼🌻
with this product the dye is pure colour that’s why u mix it with conditioner to water it down .
Was it the Christophe Robin Chic Copper? I bought it and haven’t used it yet. 😬
I just found your channel the other day and I am having so much fun watching your videos!!!!!
Thank you so much
I love the blue on her.
the color looks so goood on her
I think she thinks one "drop" is the entire dropping tool
Hair Buddah I'm a 35yr veteran of diy hair and I feel your hair dresser's heart's pain. I didn't have the benefit of the internet but never had fails like you see on the regular. Perhaps it was a saving grace not to have contradictory info from the web.
Anyway I ❤❤❤❤ your channel!
"do you know what drops are?" I was thinking the same! 😅
Why is it that when the person screws up they blame the products
that's normal nowadays. people just don't want to admit their own failure.
Narcissists are never wrong.
I clicked on your channel and I’m soooo glad I did, you are an awesome teacher.
I have learned so many things that I never knew.
Thank you ❤
