No it was simply meant be resting over your shoulders and dangle on your sides. You could only wrap your scarf only once, under certain circumstances, otherwise you were somehow uncool and you’d get weird looks. Also wearing a long coat that covered your butt was basically the worst thing you could do as a teenager in the early 2000’s. Your jacket needed to be small, puffy and cropped with that elastic band that gave the illusion of a small waist.
I was literally the only one on campus that wore a scarf in 23° weather, while people were acting like scarves didn’t exist lmaoo then they’d be hacking up a lung in bio, like😭😆if you wore a scarrrffff ☺️

Oh Jesus, the PUFF JACKETS. when I was a kid, my Mama would have me put on pyjama pants and thick socks on under my jeans and she'd have me wearing a long sleeve shirt, plus a sweater, plus one of the super thick puff jackets, THEN add mittens and a scarf and made me out my hood up. Yes, I understand I was a literal stick and had nothing to keep heat within my body, but I looked like a sentient marshmallow. 😩🤣
