I love the old beat up ranch truck look. Shows it's been there done that. With good working drive train. I'm a red neck from Texas we love old war wagons.
Hey Matt, my dad and I are building a 67 highboy right now. We are body swapping a 70 Ranger XLT camper special body on to it. We are going to use the nice 67 grill though.
Morning from eastern Oregon I told Matt what I had he's not interested but that's ok I have a 1977 ford and if you're interested I will gladly send you info on it have to get rid of it and have knee replacement thanks.
My truck had great patina , but it had a flatbed on it. It sucks looking for the right bed. Especially in your situation looking for a short bed. Make the short bed a hot rod with nice paint.
To be quite honest a better option would be to fix up the short bed to some factory style configuration whether it is a utility bed or factory bed and get it sold. Most people just like to buy the look and only a few would appreciate the utility of the OBS swap
Not a fan of the OBS swap....but that's just me. I'd go for the white "ranch truck" . To do anything with the 67 short box would be a big undertaking.......you could always just sell it "as is".....wouldn't make much profit likely, but would free up some cash......

That farm truck is awesome, looking for one like that to restore myself, something similar to your red ranch truck.
Go for it!

I would build the highboy ranch truck. I would love to buy that truck from you. Wimbledon white and green, that an awesome color combo.

Ranch truck build you have everything it seems to do it quickest route to get to sale
For sure would be the faster option.
100%..put the green cab on the 97obs chassis
67 OBS, I’m sure somebody can “close too” color, match the bed. That would be a killer truck!
67 shortbed cab on ‘97 chassis. If ya need i have a really nice dent n rust free AZ Flareside bed. White 8’. It would be easy to patina to match.
id like to see the short bed stay a short bed just being they are harder to find. They go for big money here
That is why I would get an assigned vin for the OBS swap truck. Then the Short bed frame and vin could still be used to build a truck.
Go with the 97 obs swap. Cool vintage body on a modern suspension.
If you want modern suspension buy a modern truck....
@@halseyknox I already have both so why not condone the best of both generations

I actually like all 4 of those ideas so either way pretty sure I'll be watching the videos matt sir??!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Matt sir
Maybe an all electric conversion? Not my kind of truck, but maybe an interesting project?
Would be interesting for sure. I am not sure how the old ford truck market would respond to that though LOL

I would like to see the OBS swap too so i could get some ideas for my swap i am going to do.
Can’t get enough farm trucks!
The OBS swap actually sounds like a cool idea, good luck with your decision
Thanks!
Keep the 67 for full restore do the obs ford swap
How about a 3" -5" lifted twin I-beam two wheel drive f-250....there are lot of us bumpside owners such as I who have them 2:37
What would you take for 67 farm truck
The OBS swap would be pretty sweet Matt 🙂👍
farm truck build
Either build sounds good to me , may not be worth big money without doing a paint job
For sure wouldn't be meant to bring big money. Just a quick project.
Sell the '67 Ma Bell truck AS IS! Then build up the '67 Highboy.
My vote’s for the 67/97 swap
With Flatbed
@@matthewmoore137 flatbed is the plan. Forgot to mention that in the video 👍🏻
Obs swap as long as you make videos of it. That’s a swap I’d like to try myself👍
That's the plan!
