Great recording! So many moving parts in this piece. Each part must be covered for this to work. English Horn and bass players are hard to find. So are low reeds. Bravo on a job well done! Well oiled machine!
Some good playing. Rhythm is an issue at times, and also, the ensemble is just too large. Many of the inner rhythmic textures and clarity are completely lost in a roar of sound at times. If you are going to play orchestral transcriptions well, you just need to cut the ensemble down to a wind ensemble size. Giant concert bands just do not translate well most of the time, because you are covering parts meant for strings originally.
finallyyyy a good recording. not an insane director that thinks his middle school band should be trying this
You can't understand him
I mean Henry middle school could play this but yeah lol so happy there’s a good recording to watch
Did you year de trompet and oboe solo? 😂😂
pretty mid, they clearly only reharsed for like a month or two..
Dudamel? 😂
As a professional clarinetist, I must say that the clarinet solo sounds GREAT. I love the vibrato the expression etc.. she ate and left no crumbs❤
I like how she didn’t rush the notes
solo clarinet ate that up so good 😩
100% she's amazing!
we're playing this for evaluation in a few months and it's by far my favorite piece we've done to be judged on
I love this recording spefically due to the faster tempo at various points in the piece
That is the best clarinet solo I have heard on this piece. She did amazing her tone, ease, power, range, and control were fantastic.
Absolutely love this piece, and it's awesome to see some bass sax representation in a concert band
Best band recording by far, low brass and saxes are on point
love the english horn part so fun to play
amazing performance
Que bien Excelente!! con banda se oye bien con metales. Felicidades a todos excelentes músicos .
Qué maravilla, qué bien tocado

🇲🇽 música de mi Mexico
Perc hard carrying 💪🙏😩
Well…
I have the solo clarient part for my schools wind ensemble and I wish we can sound like this 😭😭
1:01 i feel the same way
lol
Playing this in highschool is crazy

Doing a Denver Brass arrangement of this with Amarillo College. The picc part is insane, covering a lot of piano stuff.
Lovely compositi!
The chord at 6:25 is so in tune
👍🏻
that percussion is delicious, especially the sidesticking on the toms.
Was there bass sax in this recording ?
3:20-4:20
Are this many musicians required ? It get a bit muddy and rushed in some parts. This composition works well for a wind band.

吹奏楽版もいいね〜
My score has tutti clarinets at the beginning, but this works better.
A plague upon that arranger's house
Oboe I’m sorry…
Nice version. Percussion section a little about of beat on tuttis and trumpet solo too much on dirty sound and false notes.

Dudamel did this with like 100 people what 😂 Ensemble size is NOT why the rhythms aren't precise here
@@crysiscore2051100%!! but then again, dudamel is dudamel...
this is kinda vanilla
could say the same about your criticism
Too fast
