Synopsis: Fire of Love tells the story of two French lovers, Katia and Maurice Krafft, who died in a volcanic explosion doing the very thing that brought them together: unraveling the mysteries of our planet, while simultaneously capturing the most explosive volcano imagery ever recorded. I met them a couple of times at conferences. Very dedicated, sweet and eccentric couple passionate about volcanoes. Maurice said to me once, “I want to die filming a volacano! It would be so great!” He did get his wish.
Thanks for ruining the ending for me!! LOL!!!!
@@keithevans3544 that's the most incentive thing I've ever read. "My freind died doing what he loved" "how dare you spoil the movie!"
@@EllRiver he never said they were his friend. And you're supposed to watch it not knowing the outcome or else they would have said so in the trailer. Grow a backbone buttercup.
@@keithevans3544 In other trailers they let you know they die. I saw the movie and they say it less than ten minutes in basically. You'll be alright. The movie isn't spoiled.
@@keithevans3544 if you actually read the description on what it's about...it says they die doing what they love lmfaooo
I remember watching their documentary by NGeo in the 90’s when I was a kid. I’ve always been fascinated by the Krafts and how brave they were. Just two nerdy Badass scientists out for a lover stroll. Love them 😆
I actually really love the voiceover.
Sounds like the voice of Miranda July
I thought it sounded like Dakota Johnson.
@@orgonelifesupport it is lol
@@josephstowell1995 I knew it. I used to sleep to her short stories audiobook “no one belongs here more than you”
Her voice is so comforting.
Tomorrow will be their last day...must be the teaser for the film. The question until we see it is did they die by their passion for volcanos? I'm gonna Google the couple's back story.
It's a famous historical event.
This film is incredibly it better win an academy award
Good film, saw it today knowing nothing about it. Fascinating!
how do I find the beautiful songs from this film (both in spanish ,singing by a women) Who is singing?
can anyone tell me how a person can watch this in Australia, online or something, please !!!!
Try putlocker
Yooo
I hate the narrators voice.
June 2022: Is this a mockumentary or actual photos and footage from an actual couple? Pre too-lazy to research. Thought I'd ask a fellow human. :)
I like your honesty. Looks totally real.
These is an actual couple and there is an original documentary which I’m sure some of these clips are taken from. They were both well regarded volcanologists.
I saw this at SXSW it’s a real doc about a real couple and one hell of an amazing couple. True heroes, a beautiful story. You must watch it.
Phenomenal. ❤️
I can understand your skepticism. The presenter's voice work is a bit overly dramatic to me and seems to be emphasizing a romance without focus on their work. Will do more research on it myself. My interest is piqued.
Why would you assume that ?
A great film about the volatile relationship between nature and mankind. However, I really wish they got a better voice over artist. She sounds like she delivered her lines in one take at 5 in the morning.
I'm confused how such a bad voice over made it into the final cut of the film.
voiceover is Miranda July who has an incredible artist in her own right! it might make more sense once you see her work
@@juliegoldberg8950 Maybe the lousy voice work makes sense in some other film, but not here.
@@ricardocantoral7672 watch the film before your judge jeez. Harsh much?
Honestly, it seems very reminiscent of how Werner Herzog sounds in his volcano doc featuring parts of this couples story as well. I like it.
heres one of the million questions... tomorrow is their last day? how would u know xd
They died lmao
"Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us" (Psalm 90:17). FATHER GOD is blessing His children that He trust with blessings that will blow our mind! Get ready!
Yikes.
There's a little bit of Wes Anderson charm to it...
What's incredible is that is their own eyes, he took the videos, masterful !
No there isn't. Wes Anderson is insufferably quirky.
@@ricardocantoral7672 I don't agree, his shooting method is pretty cool, but I mean "the music," will make this "Like an Anderson film"
In reality this guy's were taking picture and video before west Anderson made a big film
@@laloponce7527 I don't see how. He does the same thing over and over again, one static shot. He is literally everything insufferable about independent film.
@@ricardocantoral7672 Not really independent unless by the most loose definition of the word,
