- Paper Arches CP 300 g.
Colours Windsor & Newton: Antwerp Blue, Paynes Gray, Quinacridone Gold, Neutral Tint.
The bottles contain:
1th Water and Antwerp Blue - shaken not stirred!
2nd Water, Antwerp Blue, Paynes Gray and Neutral tint.
The colour I drip on the sky is Quinacridone Gold.
And then I use my usual master card for making lines and interesting spots.
Notice that this time I only wet the top of the paper from the beginning. Later I put water on the paper at the bottom.
Lena, I love your watercolor style & chuckle each time you toss the tape aside! We‘ve just moved into a grand old house on the campus of Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI, USA, & need arresting art to cover our walls. If the weather cooperates I’ll take paper & paints outside & try to reproduce something as fantastisk as your works. Sharing one’s work is selfless & I thank you.

It's not "simple"...it does take some practice. But start n a 9x12" paper and experiment. This technique really is like magic once you get the hang of it. Well worth your time!

I love your paintings. I have no idea how you know when to stop or take something off. I struggle with that. But when you do it turns into something even more spectacular than it was before. What is the paper you use? And where can I purchase it? I saw somewhere that it was clay coated paper. It's very shiny. I don't know about that type of paper. I definitely need to clean off my table to be able to move around like you do. But I really want to try it. What are the smaller size paper that you use? Are the large pieces a full sheet? Dear Suzan. In this video I use normal watercolour paper 300gr and a full sheet. In other videos I use cardboard coated with chalk and it is much more shining and difficult to paint on. But it also gives more clear colours. Sometimes I cut the watercolour sheets in 3 in a kind of panorama.

So beautiful. What kind of bottles do you use? Looks very practical.
You can use any bottles! I bought som very cheap ones here in Copenhagen 2 for 1$.
This huge paper is amazing!!!!
And as I've said before, the watercolor in bottles is genius. Seems like a decent amount of paint in the bottle because the colors are so deep and vibrant coming out of the bottle.
That Antwerp blue is SO gorgeous! Definitely a blue i eventually want to save for :) I use a lot of W&N but only the Cotman as they're so much more affordable. But I know the look and everything is better with the pro versions, and I figure as I slowly run out here and there of a certain color, I'll try to replace it with a pro version. I have a couple Daniel Smith but tiny tiny tubes and just a couple.

la técnica de esta mujer (perdón por escribir en castellano) es lo que me más me atrae en acuarela. Ahora, no es fácil. Seguramente hay un plan previo, y salen imprevistos en el manejo del agua, pero tampoco es poner colores al azar. Quedan obras que uno no se cansa de mirar, cosa que no ocurre con las consabidas acuarelas de paisajes....

In your videos it looks like you use a flat piece of board? And just tape the archers down? Correct?
