- My grandchild is the photographer once again!
On the photo at the beginning of the video the trees on my wall are 250 cm broad and 200 cm high.
I put two sheets of stone paper together (100x70 cm) in the length and as many as wanted side by side.
When you use stone paper you have to cover the paper with UV-protection. I use Schmincke 50 401 Universal-Fixativ but all others can be used.
I only use 2 colours: W&N Paynes Grey and LUCAS Green Yellow. And when I splashes it is with a tooth brush and Green Yellow.
And then, of course as usual, I use my master card when I paint! I guess that's the only way to make masterpieces…...
Beautiful flow, thanks for sharing your process. And the nightingale! I will paint today because of you, inspired all the way across the seas in Hawaii :)
Thank you Jen, and good work!
Sounds like a mockingbird to me!

You had me hooked as soon as you tossed the masking tape! Wonderfully loose and flowing colors...the epitome of watercolor!
Thank you Mr. Watercolorguy!!
Thank you! I always look forward to your videos. I love that your technique and style is not to “control”, but is a true partnership with the elements to create something beautiful! More please!
Thank you for your fine words Terry!
“Kia Ora” from Aotearoa New Zealand. Lena thank you so much for sharing this exquisite sound and visual art. It’s very beautiful 🎨

Nachzutun 🤔 ich denke, Übung macht den Meister !!! Wünsche noch viele so schöne Bilder von Dir 🎨

Liebe Rita. Vielen dank für die schöne Wörter.
I wish you posted more. Your videos are so relaxing!
In the future I shall post more often. And by the way: Thank you!
Beautiful. Love your work. What liquid paint did you I.
Where do you buy stone paper. Never heard of it. ❤️
I buy it from Germany. It is pressed stone granulate. www.boesner.dk
.
Miss Lena I'm so happy to see you come on I've been waiting for a long time in my eyes you have a wonderful gift and I know others have waited also may the Lord bless and keep you your work is inspiring and all gifts are from his hand
Thanks 👍
The liquid is the same colour as in the tubes, but with a lot of water. I buy the stone paper in here: www.boesner.dk
Yderst spændende teknik og resultatet blev rigtig flot 👌 Fremover må du gerne invitere nattergalen til en videooptagelse. Den synger så smukt ❤
I am looking for the special paper, but cannot find it
Can you give more information about the paper you use?
Is it the same as YUPO paper?
Love your demo's
RIA
Thank you! No, it is not Yupo - stone paper is much cheaper. In fact it is going to dissolve after some years, that's why I give it 5 layers of UV protection. I love to make experiments.
WONDERFUL!!!
YES!!! Thank you!
I just found you on UA-cam. Beautiful work!! What is stone paper? Thank you!
Thank you for watching Carol. Stone paper is mostly pressed stone and with a little amount of plastic, and it is not made for water colour painting, since the paper (or the stone) only absorbs the water very slowly.
Amazing ! I was so excited to see your video. 🙏
Thank you Helen!
WITAJ, artykuł na twojej stronie był pouczający i przykuł moją uwagę ,mam nadzieję, że nie masz nic przeciwko lepszemu poznaniu się,
Und von wo kommt das Licht??😢
Was meinst du? Ich muss Gardinen aufhängen weil es zu viel licht vom Fenster ist.
I wish there were more detailed instructions. I don't know how the papers are put together to not look like it's taped together. Is the IV protection put on afterwards? Where do you get your paper? & more...💕
I put the papers together and also fastens it to the top and bottom with acid free doublesides tape (Letraset). The UV protection is put on afterwards outside my house. I use Universal-Fixativ from Schmincke with UV protection. I spray it twice! I buy the paper from Germany, but try to seek it where you live.
Dear Lena, would you consider doing more videos? I am a real follower and so appreciate your work. I am sad that I dont live near you.
Very soon I'll make new videos! Thank you for your nice words.

I love your creativity, it is so inspiring, beautiful and spontaneous... ❤❤😍😍👍👍
Precioso!!!❣️
Que es lo que utilizas en los tubos de plástico, que liquido e?,gracias un saludo!!!!
It is the same two colours that I use with the mastercard, but I put 1-2 cm in the bottle and fill up with water and shake it - that's it!!
Gorgeous! Do you frame your paintings under glass?
Yes I always do, because watercolour paintings are delicate.
Is it just watercolour paper you use? Love your work. 😍
No, it is stone paper!
❤
I missed this one...but today it was on my desk...I love your kind of painting so much! 🥰
Oh Lena, such beautiful work you do! You constantly inspire me! Thank you so much for sharing your gift !

Just WOW! Beautiful!! Thank you for sharing.

This is on stone paper.
Wow!!!!!. Your art is amazing!!!!. I love you!!!. You are an superb artist!!!!. Greetings from Xalapa, Vearcruz in México.
Thank you Rafaela! And greetings here from Copenhagen.
This is so inspiring!
Thank you.
Thank you! Please do more😊
Very Pretty :) thank you
Thank you for watching!
Super beau merci
Beautiful painting and lovely hearing your happy bird.
What kind of paper do you use?
In this video it is stone paper, which is pressed stone I think together with a little amount of acryl to make it stick together.
hi,Lena: love your videos!Beautiful work! Question about stone paper,I look online, is says the paper is made of stone, waterproof, not suitable for watercolor….would you please let me know what brand or kind of stone paper do you use?
That's correct. Stone paper is not for water colour painting. But that's one of my challenges in life that I always go far outside the boarders. I am too curious to be a decent person. In fact the stone paper dissolves by itself, and that's why I give it some layers of UV protection.
Dear Lena, I am impressed with your technique and your artwork. And this work of the tree makes me spontaneously say Whow! It inspires me to continue developing my own work. And the song of the nightingale is very zen, clears your mind of daily thoughts. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to your next video.
Greetings from the Netherlands, Agnès
Dear Agnes. Thank you for your nice words. Normally when I paint trees they are 2 m high. You can see a little video on the front of my website, how they can look when they are finished. gemzoe.dk
Have you or will you post picture of all 10 trees. You are a master of your technique. Takes a fearless person to do your work, especially larger formats. Thank you. PS: love that you dress up to paint, in US where the masses never dress at all, I do. Shows respect¡
Thank you! Can't you just take a screen shot of the trees?
What is the blue liquid? I can’t find any info?
It is W&N Paynes Grey dissolved in water.
@@lenagemze662 thank you!
I really wish you would explain what you are doing. It's very hard for a beginner to comprehend what is happening if you don't explain it
Dear Mark. I shall think of your proposal. My wish is, that everybody start painting water colours, and then it is not good if beginners can't follow.
What paint is in the spray bottles you squirt? Is Paynes grey used for branches or mixed w. Yellow?
The spray bottles contain only one colour each and water. Ie. Paynes Grey and in the other Green Yellow. Both colours for branches - they mix on the paper.
I love what you do, lady. What a fine artist! Regards from Cancun Mexico.
Thank you very much Diana. And regards from Copenhagen
I’m waiting to see a new video from you. 🙏🏼I love to watch you while you create and your technique is so effortless. I would love to see so much more, thank you! 🖼️🤗
Thank you so much! Very soon I'll make a new video.
Hello bonjour merci pour cette démonstration accompagnée d’un chant d’oiseau….j’aime beaucoup ❤❤je ferai un essai qui sera forcément différent pour dormir aussi au milieu des arbres 🙋🏻♀️😉
Merci beaucoup Antoinette!
I did a painting today. that is based on Your technique. It wasn't my first, but not to many trial and errors before so I felt real joy and happiness
Thank you for telling me and good luck with your works in the future.
merci , technique intéressante et bien maîtrisée.
So miss seeing you create! Will you be making new videos?
I guess I will - maybe next month...
Really enjoy watching you make art glad to see some new videos!
Thank you Windfall!
@Thomas Greg Going well and yourself Thomas?
@Thomas Greg I am in Western North Carolina. My name is June, I am married and have two older children and two grandkids.
@Thomas Greg Nice to meet you as well. Hope all is good in your world.
WITAJ, artykuł na twojej stronie był pouczający i przykuł moją uwagę ,mam nadzieję, że nie masz nic przeciwko lepszemu poznaniu się,
Never heard a nightingale to my knowledge it complimented the painting well.
Thank you, and the nightingale lives very close to me here in Copenhagen...
Fabulous ! I love your work. Please share more ❤ Jill R🇬🇧
Thank you Robbo and I am sorry I answered you so late. I started posting more often now.
Love your masterful works. Is this only tree on this paper or will you add more later?
When I was taking photos of the trees I went out into my garden, and it happened so, that leaves fell from the trees on my water colour painting. So I got inspired, and took more photos with the leaves on. Very interesting to make autumn paintings that way.
Very beautiful!! Thank you so much!!
Thank you for watching!
My first time seeing your art work. It's lovely & inspiring thank you . The bird are a lovely calming 🙂👍
Sorry for missing letters🙈💛
Thank you Karen - it is very understandable what you write..
I so love the birdsong as you paint these beautiful trees!
Thank you Mariella.
И ЧТО? Примитивизм от нечего делать. Так и обезьяны "рисуют".
TAK FOR DIN INTERESSE!
Absolutely loved it are you going to do more tree painting in the future? ❤❤
Sorry for the late reply, but yes I am still making experiments with trees.
Wow, beautiful. What kind of paper do uou use?
Thank you Pia. Please read under the video about paper and colours.
Love the colors and enjoy watching the way you paint it!
Thank you!
Magnifique merci
MARAVILHOSO.
What was in the bottle? Ink? Looks great
It is exactly the same colours as in the tubes, but thinned with water.
Gorgeous tree.
LOVE IT!!! Will you be showing how to make the one in the initial photograph where there are several trees? I have never heard of stone paper here in the US. Wonder what it is called over here? Love your work. It inspired me when I needed to escape from the mean people. Thank you.
Thank you LJ. Hope you had luck by escaping!!
@@lenagemze662 Can you tell me what Stone Paper is? Never heard of it. I don't really like water color paper and prefer smooth paper which is why I use Bristol paper. Thanks!!!
@@lindalori52 Stone paper is grinded, pressed, stone with a little plastic. I never heard of Bristol paper, and shall try to get it, at paint on it. Thank you.
WoW, you have a golden touch!!❤
Thank you Kathy!
Just love your work Lena. When I tried your method today (used Arches paper), I found my colors ended up just spreading too much because of the wetness of the tree trunk. Yet when I look at yours, your colors seemed to flow on top of the paper and water and not be absorbed as much it appears. Any suggestions on my issue? Thank you again for your unique style and method. John.
Thank you John! When I paint the trees, I paint on stone paper, and the colour together with the water is flowing on top, exactly as you have observed. When you use Arches et will absorb the water and you will not obtain the same flow.
@@lenagemze662 thank you Lena for taking the time to reply. I have not used or heard of Stone paper but will look for it. Do you mind me asking is the Stone paper the brand? I will try and search for it. Thank you again. John
@@JohnArnoldPhotography Dear John. Stone paper is not a brand but a category of paper. And in fact it is not paper att all. It is presses stone with a little plastic inside. It is very difficult to handle, because it very easy to fold it or make marks in the paper, and then the colours is following the scratches. I think it is a rather new article, but there is more and more interest for it.
@@lenagemze662 thank you again for taking time to reply!!! Looks like fun to try
Voice over would be much better
Thank you Fiona for your advice. I think there is much too much talking here where I live, so I thought it was better to rest the ears.
I have truly missed your videos. Is there a website where you sell any of your work? I hope the reason we haven't seen you in about 10 months is because you have been painting up a storm! Please don't wait that long to post a new painting. I can't hold my breath that long. 💖
I shall try to post more videos. My website is gemzøe.dk/Watercolour/Home.html
@@lenagemze662 , thank you. I didn't see any prices, but I enjoyed seeing more of your work. 💖
@@sand3882 I never put a price on my works.
