WOW. Just beautiful. This is the first Kottke tune I ever heard in '70 something and hhe has inspired me ever since. Thank you for a wonderful version.
Little girl, I have watched you grow up on UA-cam..ever since that first video when you were about 12 years old. The finest tribute I can think of is when I close my eyes I hear Leo Kottke playing.
People who cover Leo's stuff usually get the notes right. You're way beyond that. You have mastered the cute little nuances that convey the feeling of his work.
I watch the whole song so I can see the Macyn smile at the end :-) Seriously...Great rendition of the song!! Your phrasing, strength, and emphasis are spot on with Leo's but still unique to your style. Its getting harder though to tell your performances from the authors. Thank you for the video!!
Macyn, I have been listening to you for several years, and thought you couldn't get much better; but, you have proven me soooo wrong....Thank you for the beautiful music.
Macyn Love your renditions of songs. I’ve already picked up a good part of Mona Ray and am learning Ragamuffin using your video and tab-need the extra help on that 😄 Thanks again
Macyn, You are amazing! You do Leo's music real justice! I've already ordered your CD! Don't know if you're familiar with Jorma Kaukonen, but I would love to hear (and see) you peform some of his songs such as "Water Song" or "Good Shepherd". Please keep up the good work!
Absolutely wonderful! My fingers are fifty years older than yours and they've attempted to play most of your repertoire at some point, so I know how difficult the songs are...but you make it look effortless. Best wishes for your musical future.
Macyn... for several years you've impressd me to the Max degree!...Your unbelievably talented in the shear volume of difficult finger picking tunes you have mastered. Can I ask you a special favor?? I have never seen anyone play or even try to play my favorite Kottke tune entitled "Cooliage Rising". It's very fast and probably a very difficult tune to learn?? But I bet you could be the person out there that could do it...and do it one a 6 String!
I warned you about bendin your neck to look at the neck of the guitar. Professionals don't look at the neck while they play. You'd better see a chiropractor soon, and learn to play without lookin.
I told to you long ago, learn to play without lookin at the neck. Think of the condition of your spine in your old age. Also learn to tune more precisely, thank you.
Absolutely beautiful rendition!

Excellent, such a beautiful tune and you play it with such skill.
You have captured not only the piece but every little touch that Leo does. Well done!

That's more like it! Better sound than in the park or the church! Well played. 🙂

Beautiful music, wonderfully played by a talented artist.
got the Kottke wry smile at the end, when she knows it was played very well!

Hello, I recently discover your music. And I think you're great. My question is do you also compose pieces of music ?
More, more...

A little out of tune? 🤔
