I absolutely adore Bruce Cockburn and love this song. If you read his memoir "Rumours Of Glory" you find out who put the bullet hole in Peggy's Kitchen Wall. Great story, but as Bruce says it might have been nice to not know and always wonder.

@@brucecockburn5025 my brother lived in Alberta: when I was about 15-16, he returned to Belfast Ireland; and brought me back the cassette, which featured Peggy's kicthen wall and if I had a rocket launcher.
So your music played in Belfast, throughout very troubled times, I have traveled around the world, and returned to the house my grandparents and family lived in since 1912, where I first played/ heard Peggy's kitchen wall...56 now when I played it on you tube a few months ago...it took me right back almost 40 years....
