He actually multi tasks when he doesn't care about something he is seen being on call with his team whenever he is doing other things but for Wilson he was there completely.
This to me was the Zenith, the Peak of their friendship. Like a grand finale in a way, even though there's more after this, this moment here, was just perfect. I laughed and cried at the same time when I first saw it, absolutely epic.
It was definitely unique as well. But one of the best moments with those two was when House lost his mind because of his methadone addiction, and Wilson taking him to the mental hospital. That was honestly scary when House realizes he is having a mental break and everything he did with Cutty was in his head. But then seeing him in the car with Wilson honestly made me feel better.
Shane Hornsey Guess I was that one. Call at 11:30 p.m for an overnight drinking. The asshole just broke up with her bf 5 mins ago and asked me to pick her up 15 km away. Then she fkin collapsed after like 1 hours, leaving me sitting alone in the place (and no, not booty call. We knew each other too well)
So true! I hate house for being an asshole just like his coworkers do but I love house for how amazing he can be from time to time towards the people he loved. It just sucked how long everyone had to wait in between each good thing lol otherwise he had to play chess to heal people but make everyone else around him miserable.
Absolutely the best moment of the entire series. The writers brilliantly encapsulate the unpredictable core of House and Wilson's friendship, in combination with Robert Sean Leonard's reaction-- it's so genuine and impactful it makes good on the promise of drama and acting as art.
I remember crying when watching this scene for the first time. At the time, it struck me how strong and honest this friendship was and how I didn’t have anything that came nearly as close to what these two had.
@@freyasheart9527 Unfortunately, no. I still don’t have a friend. Furthermore, it has gotten worse: I lost a lot of people that I thought were friends but were just opportunists.
Fuck friends. I had a ton of them in high school and a group of them from 11 to 29 years old. We were the best of friends until I had my son. Then it was like I was dead. I didn't get invited to anything. It's been about 12 years since I've seen any of them other than things like funerals and I've definitely gotten over it. My friends are my family now. My parents and my brothers and my son. Those are literally the only people I hang with now and it's way better.
I'm currently going through this show again and I've just watched this exact episode. The moment Wilson starts laughing always puts up a smile on my face. This show is great.
House was not always kind to Wilson, but this almost makes up for all the crap he did to him. Wilson's cancer and impending demise is House's turning point in their relationship, for the better!
“I’m dead Wilson. How do you want to spend your last 5 months?” Then everyone theorized how when 13 will be dying, house will appear out of the shadow and fulfill his promise.
@@pumpkingamebox I read a nice idea on the Internet about Chase MD, a sequel to Hozse MD, but with Chase as the protagonist. In the idea, one od the episodes include House returning to save 13 and then disappears once again.
House is one of those friends that if you aren't in the right mood can be annoying to be around and you wonder why you're friends but when things seems darkest he can be there to help brighten your day in unexpected ways.
This scene and the one where Wilson walks out to see house after his funeral were the two scenes that let me know Wilson 100% believed he made the right choice by keeping house as his best friend
To go thru something that makes u so vulnerable, helpless & sick. To have your best guy friend have to help u to the bathroom, clean up your vomit, wipe your ____. It is a horrible feeling. For House to still act like House thru it all, made Wilson realize that nothing has changed between them... it's just what friends do. It could have easily gone the route of the mushy 'thanks man' ' i love u' or worse---- the feeling that House PITIED him. Excellent writing.
I remember I was just old enough to appreciate this show when the last few episodes were airing, and this was a scene that really touched me. An amazing conclusion that will stick in my mind forever.
He mad that about himself as Wilson pointed that out and House improved himself. // spoiler......... . . . House even gave up his life and career for him in the end, to spend more time with him.
What I liked is that this prank could have been shity if it was someone else. But Wilson knows and loves House as much as House does him and he knew that this was Houses way of cheering him up.
This was brilliant, House again showing how he always stronly believed that Willson was gonna be fine... OR he was just been an asshole on one of the most difficult times for Will, both of those situations define their relationship very well
I remembered this scene, there was me after cry a little for all the suffering of Wilson, and then, I was laughing a lot just to see how House showing him that even in the hardest moment he won't stop being a son of a bitch 😁😁😁😁😁
I've been watching some old clips and I never noticed how muted the colors are in later seasons. Amazing work to show the dive into the drama. Also, Wilson looks very weak physically here, very small, which is also an amazing detail.
I feel like this is the reaction both House and Wilson have in their head when either one pulls their hi-jinx. They just maintain a straight face when the other is around as part of the game.
Despite that moment being another one of House's pranks on Wilson, It did give him a joyful, bright smile of relief and laughter as a medicine to his current depression. We can all agree that was heartwarming that touched the soul for real.
@@TheHalloweenKing that's funny because House openly mocks God, religion, people and society itself. A bunch of male strippers would be paltry to that.
October 31th 2023 This scene is still emotional for me, actually is more considering a family member went through cancer and I had to take care of him/her. It still brings me joy. Only House's Funeral/Finale beats every scene.
He's made him happy numerous times over the years. Just because House can be an obnoxious, insensitive curmudgeon, doesn't mean he's not enjoyable company. If all House ever gave Wilson was misery, they wouldn't have been friends for years.

Wilson was the only existing person who could always be there for House, I really can't imagine what House would have gone through once Wilson is dead..
I’ve watched all the seasons of House on Amazon, and I’ve come to three conclusions: 1. House is the biggest moron out of the entire cast, despite his intellect 2. Wilson is too kind and naive for this harsh and cruel world 3. This episode pretty much sums up their friendship in a nutshell.
I wish I had a friend like house. He might be an asshole but he cares about all his friends and is loyal. Even if you don’t know it. Also prank wars seem really fun.
There is a strong similarity. In many iterations of Holmes and Watson, Holmes is always driving Watson up the wall with some weird antic. The underlying meaning with this scene is HOUSE STAYED UP ALL NIGHT to make sure his friend was okay.
