I want that search bar. I'm transitioning from Photoshop to Affinity and this tutorial helps a ton. I doubt Adobe will rollback their changes to their TOS so this tutorial comes on a good time for me.
This is the last month I'm using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Coincidentaly, I've been learning Affinity Designer and Photo, and really enjoying the process.
Great course, thanks very much for taking the time. However, having completed a number of courses now I would say this is closer to intermediate level.
Hi I'm the instructor. You don't need to create an art board. It does make it easier to manage multiple versions of the same design though and you can also workshop different ideas in art boards.
In Affinity Designer, when objects aren't staying visible outside the artboard, it's often due to specific settings or behaviors related to the artboard itself. Here are a few things you can check and try to resolve this issue: 1. Clip to Canvas: You mentioned that you checked the "Clip to Canvas" setting, which is good. This setting should be turned off if you want to see objects outside the artboard. However, since it’s not working, let's try other options. 2. Artboard Export Option: Make sure your export settings are not affecting the visibility. Go to File > Export and check if you have any export settings that might clip the content to the artboard. 3. View Mode: Sometimes the view mode can affect what is visible. Ensure that you are not in "Outline" mode by going to View > View Mode and selecting "Vector" or "Pixel." 4. Check Layers Panel: In the Layers panel, make sure that the objects are not accidentally clipped inside the artboard layer or masked. If they are, try moving them out of the artboard group. 5. Artboard Settings: Sometimes, the artboard itself might have a setting that's causing this issue. Select the artboard and check its properties to make sure there's no option selected that's clipping content. 6. Update or Restart: If nothing else works, try restarting Affinity Designer or checking for updates. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve unexpected behavior. Hope this helps!
Hi! It’s totally understandable-switching from Adobe tools to Affinity can feel a bit different at first, especially since the workflows can vary. But once you get the hang of it, Affinity offers great value for the price! If you give it more time, you'll start to see how its features align with your design needs. Feel free to explore its tutorials, as they might make the transition smoother. Hope this helps! Cheers!
Hi! It sounds like you're having quite the experience migrating to Affinity! It really can feel like a big upgrade. Hope you're enjoying the journey and discovering all the great features! Cheers! 🌟

been an all time adobe tools user, tried affinity but unfortunately don´t find it intuitive. I wish as I would save big money
