Overview
The difficult security situation in Europe after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has made restoring military readiness and capacity an imperative for the UK, as exemplified by Operation Mobilise. However, change must come from more than just Defence and the Armed Forces; industrial strategy across Europe must account for both NATO’s enhanced strategic posture and the continued demand to provide support to Ukraine.
Integrating emerging capabilities, the implications of which have yet to be fully understood, while still getting the most out of people, is an ongoing challenge that initiatives such as the British Army’s Project Wavell seek to address. Meanwhile, the need to work with allies and partners and promote stability further afield remains as strong as ever.

I think the military spendings all over the west should become dramatically reduced. Soldiers, military and arms are not the most effictive means or solution possible for law inforcement, projection of power or to maintain friendships or mutual understanding.
