I personally think that items that you make yourself In a whole crafting process carry much more of your own personality and your own intention and therefore tend to be more powerful than a store bought item. For example my book of shadows I bound myself with cloth that I embroidered with my own sigils and symbols during a whole month. I completed it with a spell and herbs that I bound in between the book cover and the cloth. It was nothing fancy and I don’t have professional book binding tools or anything- I just used needles, knifes, wool and glue that I hat at home but it turned out perfectly and it totally vibes with me and my path.
My runes are made from a branch that fell from my favorite tree that was at my Grandmother's house. They mean more to me then a store bought set ever will.
Dollar tree has candles too. They are tall and short for $1. You can wash peanut butter jars too. You can use salt from dollar tree. Dishes from dollar trees are great for pillar candles from thrift stores you can buy candles from . Making your own candle holders from clay is great. Chalice from dollar tree is $1 and is great for holiday rituals. I bought a cup and it's my lucky cup so yeah
I own a small vintage shop in my downtown area. When I go to estate sales, thrift stores, yard sales for inventory for my shop, I always keep a look out for items for my altar and my practice. It’s a fun way to incorporate antique or vintage items into my altar! I imagine my ancestors before me maybe using them for their altars and crafts. This may sound silly, but this brings me joy 🥺💞. It’s also a very inexpensive way to gather tools for my altar. I also gather items from my garden to make things such as sun catchers, etc. I live in the city in South Florida so I also use what herbs, plants and weeds that are indigenous to my area, along with things from my local grocery. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure!!! I love treasure hunting!! Lovely video!!! I always enjoy your knowledge and energy!! Thank you 🙏🏻
I love how you did your hair 😍. I really enjoy your videos, because of you I started my witchcraft journey a year ago. Thank you so much for putting in the work.💞
The boline is white with single side blade( sometimes in crescent moon or sickle shape). The athame is black handled and double sided blade doesn’t need to be sharp. The boline is used as a cutting tool for herbs, etc. the athame is used to direct energy or “cut” the circle.
I've always loved doing a ton of DIY in my craft, even when I can afford to buy something. I'm making an altar pentacle out of local moose antler right now. :)
Most my little bottles, bowls, and plates are from the dollar store, and I go to value village and second hand stores for some vintage looking items that stick out to me. Farmers markets are also good, found my mortar and pestle in one. They also had little bells and trinkets. Dollar tree has so many candles, and craft supplies you can make tools and items from. And another place in my town that me and my witchy friend buy incense from is Birdies Nest, they have a lot of things that are from all over the world from different cultures, I also got a small amount of crystals from them. Also want to state I’m Canadian so I don’t know about anywhere else in the world.
There are a couple things I've found at thrift stores and I thought oh hey this will work as a tool in my Wiccan practice. I found a tiny piece of pottery that I use as a candle holder. It fits the candle perfectly lol. Only 25 cents. 😊
oh i found an amazing candle holder at the thrift store. i also found this fancy glass ash tray that i've been using to hold all of my crystals and rocks i find in nature. i feel like getting creative makes my practice more special
I have trees and branches from a couple years ago that was taken down because of a storm and now they're just laying in my backyard can I use that to make my wand?
"Cleanse your blade!" 🤣 I collected a lot of my tools from my local park so it carries with it the Landvættir or land spirits of my surrounding area. Also from second hand stores and markets but definitely cleansed first! I also made my own rune set and youre right about it adding meaning when you do this! I also appreciate your emphasis on time and dedication when it comes to witchcraft. I feel most empowered and connected when i'm regularly tending to my altar or connecting in some other small or big way to my deity or ancestors.
I will love to buy jewelry from them. Is there a website for me after I manage to get a new payee if I save money for it please tell me where to find those pieces and do they accept visa gift cards if I have enough money
heyy, welcome back ella 🦋🌿 i wanted to ask you if i can carve my athame out of clay? since i don't have to cut anything with it, and it will mostly be symbolic and used to make circles? and also make my wand the same way?
I know this is an old question and you have probably done it by now, but yes, you can! You can also paint symbols and add stones, herbs, etc if you wish.
Im going to say that you absolutely can use a butter knife as your ritual blade. If its what you have, then practice by your means. The spirits and Gods do not care if your blade is a butter knife or your wand is fancy chopsticks. The tools are orops for the mind, ultimately you provide the power and meaning to your work.
@@EllaHarrison hey queen! i just have a quick question; is it possible to cleanse my new crystals of past negative energies by keeping them in water for, say, 24 hours? idk whether this is possible but id rather ask an experienced witch like you 💜
With water it is always a bit dangerous because some crystals can get damaged (We have a Free downloadable file with the most common crystals that shouldn’t be submerged in water for too long on our shop ekstones.com/products/free-crystal-care-cheat-sheet) I suggest either leaving the crystals in full moon light for a night or using incense or sound (bells for example) to cleanse them from past negative energy - those are the safest ways 🙏🏼
I work with the goddess as a source of colored light, and talk to grounded deities such as Artemis, who is like a stained glass window the light shines through, does that help?
She’s German…and there are a number of sounds in German that don't exist in English. Her accent is going to attribute to certain words sounding different, although it’s also because her native language is different. Not to mention, she is doing so many a favour by speaking English… it may not be your favourite sounding word, but it is what it is. 💜✨

That is definitely the ideal 🤍🙏🏼
Thats how they made them traditionally back in the day. I bought some that were written on sea pebbles so at least of the earth

I can very much relate to this. I love thrift shopping and searching for interesting vintage items 😊
Did you know you can use peanut butter jars for herbs and jelly jars all you do is wash it and take the labels off

Most of my tools are things I found around home ,a thriftshop, dollar store, or Walmart. And they are very helpful.

Want to make a real nice Wicca star? Go to the forest, get some sticks and make it for yourself.
I used so many crystals in my work and the most thinks i diy it myself.
Just to let you know I was having a hard time with the link to your personal shop, Sliverfern Crystals. It would just link me to a blank page
Im a beginner witch. I have studied for 16 years buy hardly ever practiced. I only practiced for a few years 3 days a week
I have a question if you are Wiccan do you need a deity
Usually there would be a God and a Goddess :)

anyone here that just go to dollar tree.
I thought witches had powers and shit? Why would you be broke if you had supernatural abilities?
It... doesn’t work like that
I'm not really sure why UA-cam sent me here 😕. Do any of you 'witches' have any cool witch crafting stories ? .. Do share
