Narrow Gauge Railways of Great Britain The Glyn Valley Tramway July 2022

A fantastic little Narrow Gauge Tramway museum can be found in the village of Glyn-Ceirog just south of Llangollen.
The museum tells the story of the long gone Tramway that ran to Chirk.
Sadly no tracks survive of the Tramway. Another group of enthusiasts are at this moment clearing the area of the old Chirk station.

The museum has so many items to view. Albums full of lovely old photo's..Sadly all the steam loco's that worked the tramway are all scrapped,but two coaches are preserved in running order on the Talyllyn Railway....We took the road from Oswestry across the hills to get to Glyn-Ceiriog,very narrow roads but the views are lovely....Best wishes Chris

Nice video, what an excellent looking museum, I never got to go and see that when I lived in North Wales, what a shame. Glad you both seemed to be enjoying yourselves and there seem to be lots of items to look at.

Many thanks David. The museum is in what used to be the old loco shed,now done up to house the museum..So many items and old photo's to see,we could have spent much more time looking at them all.We were going to visit the Chirk end of the line, but is under construction,so we skipped that this time.....Best wishes Chris

We love these long lost railways.Sadly we were told the old track bed has been washed away by the river in many places and roads cover the other parts.....Best wishes Chris
