  • In this video Mike Icee will replace the front strut shocks and SPRINGS on a Mercedes W212 E350 e-class. These front bilstein shocks were used in most 2010, 2011, and 2012 E350 cars that have the standard and sport suspension without Airmatic or 4matic. Always check with a Mercedes Dealer for proper parts and repair methods. The front shock replacements costs $1000 or more at the dealership. The Mercedes e class rear shock absorber is not that difficult to replace, but it takes time to do it. You will need a spring compressor to install the new struts. This will be similar in the W204 C-Class.

The springs look the same top and bottom but they are subtly different. If yours are not marked then take a close and careful look at the ends; the one that has more of a downturn goes at the bottom. The coil that is flatter is for the top, Learned that the hard way. Also if you dont have access to a dedicated Mercedes spring compressor you may need to use 2 sets of standard spring compressors
