    I like how you went over the detail of removing each trim piece, in order to access the shock. It is also very helpful that you went over all the tools needed.

    Great video!
    Would be perfect if you compared the old and the new shock by pressing them at the same time.

    Great video. Is the fender liner just removed for easier access? Will the shock (with mount attached) fit into place without liner removal?

    Great how to one tip put masking tape on the wheel arches so you don't hit and damage them when removing/installing the shocks

    Hi, and thanks for the nice video.... it is not a problem if I buy a used original one and change only the side that has a problem? I have a problem with the back right side only. just when I drive on the small bumps then it says click click! I have S212 220 facelift.

    My car, a W212 E220 CDI does not have a spare wheel! It has a tire repair kit with a compressor. Which is not very good … have I found out.
    When I got a flat wheel, then I need to go home for a spare wheel... The tire repair kit did not work as it should.
    There is a noise in the rear of my car. Can it be the shock absorbers? My car has only 7000 miles on the clock. Nice video!

    How did the vehicle drive before and after were the old shocks hard to push down I have 116k should I change mines just changed my front struts I have a 2014 350 4matic

    • @mikeicee

      Did that help with your front clunk noise... it drove kinda weird spring like when the socks where bad. The car felt like it was floating rather connected with road. After the shocks where replaced the car felt like I remember it.

      @@mikeicee bro check this out I changed my front struts yesterday I purchased them off of eBay 🤦‍♂️ got a good deal. QBA Automotive Strut assembly. My car drives worse than it did with the old struts. It’s very bouncy and stiff gonna put old struts back on and just order bilstein b4. I also just learned that our cars have dampmatic technology 🤷🏽‍♂️ so this is probably why it’s driving like this. On a positive note changing the front struts did get rid of that clunk noise so I’m gonna change my strut mount with my new bilstein.
      Should I change the strut mount and bearing or just strut mount????

      @@G_G_AutoCareLLC Its been awhile... i think I remember the strut mount/bearing being one piece.

    I own one - its awesome having to take half the car apart for a couple of shocks.....

    • @mikeicee
      @mikeicee  3 роки тому +1

      I wish they made little ports in the side panels for easy access, but the shocks last about 180K so its a 1-2 job for the vehicles lifetime. Fuel filter replacement joys coming soon.

    • @RothBeyondTheGrave
      @RothBeyondTheGrave 3 роки тому

      Hahaha if you think that's taking half the car apart, go look at a 3rd gen Acura TL rear shock absorber job.
      You'll be extremely happy that this is all you have to do.

    How were your old mounts? I was thinking of also getting those Bilsteins until I found out the rear dust sleeve, bump stop & mount are only sold together w/ the genuine shock which costs literally 110% more & probably is about 0% better than the Bilstein.

    • @mikeicee
      @mikeicee  3 роки тому +1

      Im not sure, i think only the E550 with semi active shocks come with mounts etc. All that stuff was fine in my car.

      @@mikeicee cool, good to hear. Not trying to take it all apart just to find cracked rubber on the top mounts & not have a replacement in hand, you know?
      Thanks for the video man!
