that beat drop at 6:53!!!! SHOUT OUT TO SELINA MILES SHE IS KILLIN DA GAME WITH THIS EDITING!!! Ironlak should find MECRO CDC and get some action film from him his shit is so sick
so envious of these guys,we don't have freights anything like these down here, it's also about time TCI got some exposure, love freights! TCI do em well
Is there like some graffiti code amongst the painters that preserves the original lettering and ID numbers on the railcars? I've always thought it was cool that they took the time to paint around these important numbers on the cars.
Lots of train writers here in Canada do it to prevent getting their piece stamped. Some re write the numbers but that may get stamped too, so they do it to try and reach maximum longevity with their pieces.. trains hardly ever get buffed where I live, they’ll just stamp the numbers and info back over the piece.
I like this style.. I think people need to remember, graff aint about just impressing your friends. You want something easy to see and easy to read for everybody. So it sticks in their heads. Nobody wants to look at something they cant decipher.
yeah i noticed that they tape over the numbers and what not like previous comment said less chance of getting buffed.. sure theres graffiti but the cart numbers aren't covered
it's proper rail yard etiquette to not paint over the numbers or the info that the engineers need from each car on the manifest when checking to make sure they have their consist in order!!
@@daxperriermusic hell yeah man I’ve been listening to this song since I posted that comment. Downloaded it off UA-cam then it got removed. Luckily I had it saved been bumping it steady in north fl ever since
@@DeepSouthArtifacts hell yea. I just released new music this week check it out. Come and Get Em is still on my page. New stuff should be on iTunes today as well but two of the new songs are on UA-cam. I might end up adding come and get em to iTunes/spotify etc. too. Keep an eye out.
Andrew Smith its illegal for a freight train to travel if the numbers are covered and untraceable. Theyll stamp numbers over your piece plus they can see where the numbers where last seen and it heats up that spot. Respect the rails dont cover numbers or people
I usually focus on quantity when it comes to train cars. Cus if you hit every car on a train, at some point it’s gonna get broken up and your name will be on at least as many different lines.
They use the masking tape to preserve the dimensional data of the car so that their pieces won't get patched over and ruined. There is a bunch of federally mandated info on each car, so when it wears off or gets covered over, the railroads must replace it: hence, the stamps/patches you see on a lot of cars, typically the reporting marks (road name + #). Many of the new freight car manufacturers have begun putting the data higher up toward the top of the car for this reason.

For sure. I watch this video so much. I love freight paintings. What a lifestyle
there's this siding full of completely clean white grain hoppers near me. It's awesome. No one's hit them tho. I haven't.
@@MBTAMoreRailfan hmm weird. would be good to check if its patrolled frequently or cameras maybe on it
Sciz Graffiti its behind some lumber place. No guards.
@@MBTAMoreRailfan where at 😏???
This is fantastic. The young kids interested in painting freights can take a lot of tips home with them after watching this.
Top quality style, too.
I love the fact the are taping the serial numbers of the trains very nice detail as long as the can read them it takes longer to get buffed niceeeeee
Most of the time they don't really care aslong as they can read the numbers
@@VilaToro64 don’t let the bull catch ya
still rewatch this every couple months when it pops up
Ye
For real tho
same
Same
Same for years lol. Love when a graff video has some good music with it
It's dope that Maple & the TCI cats got some shine in this. Those cats put out more end to ends then i think anyone else
I remember seeing a lot of Jurne stuff in Maine back in the early to mid 2000's. It's cool that he still paints.
Awesome footage! Dope writers. I've been fortunate enough to paint with 2 of them. Keep rocking and banging out the steel. Salute!

Did not even catch that damn. Makes you wonder.

Is there like some graffiti code amongst the painters that preserves the original lettering and ID numbers on the railcars? I've always thought it was cool that they took the time to paint around these important numbers on the cars.
yes. if they do over that they'll get their piece stamped or painted over partially. So they want to avoid that so don't paint over them
Or repaint the numbers...
@@christopheryanoski6899 they will still stamp you for that.

Ginger & The Ghost: One Type of Dark (Ta-ku Remix)
I'm tryna find the song before that one
Dax Perrier Come and Get Em
can anyone tell me what the technique name is for how to film low light shots like these with the stars n such?
Ironlak lasts about 6-12 months on a freight at the most, then it's super faded. Worthless.
thats why you got rust oleum
I hope rusto don't go the way of krylon. Kry use to be dope.
Facts that shits garbage
Suprised the actually did something illegal. Props
lol...you doont know shit obviously cause that whole crew reaks havoc. maple and enue and jurne crush shit. all freight box smashing is illigal idiot
GEE WIZ
I think duder means ironlak is finally getting illegal footage.... The majority of their videos are legal productions.
@Chris Adams so when they take off the paint the #s will still show. The #s are used by the workers, if they cover the #s it will get a nasty stamp
what do you know about painting trains miss?

Dax Perrier Come and Get em
can someone explain what the dude is talking about at the beginning when he says to kneel down and paint upward and you'll be amazed..
Hes saying he sprays upwards to fill faster.
Is there spacific codes or words you wanna put tape over so it does get buffed
All the important information that identifies that specific car, mainly the huge bold numbers and letters.
amazing clip guys!

What did the tape do to the pieceing? I wana know
It prevents you from covering the panel numbers. Less likely your piece will get stamped
