In this video, I will teach you the techniques that I used to help me come up with my well-known and easily recognizable character- Mermaid Phantom! For my two mersonas, the first one I made was made as if I was literally a mermaid, and based everything around that. I decided that my favorite body of water was lakes, so I decided to be a lake/freshwater mer and made my tail to blend in and be a more natural mermaid, with some different patterns. My second one was originally just going to be a cute design based off of the nonbinary flag, but the more I worked on it the more I fell in love with it. Having the color scheme before hand really helped, I highly recommend it

This is extremely helpful to all of us in the merfolk community and I think it might even help me cultivate the mersona I’ve had as “Adalios” for the past 14 years. I've been around in the community for a while but I always had generic fin fun tails and red hair, so it was always rather similar to others. Luckily now I have my very own custom fabric tail from Aquariuz, which mixes a jellyfish with a mandarin goby (the mandarin goby being my favourite fish, and also my main fin fun tail was the groovvy goby), so I feel like I'm finally starting to pull together a unique mersona. This video definitely is going to help as these tips really got me thinking, so thank you!!
One of the things I really love is scenery! For example, a group of colors/patterns would remind me of a certain fantasy place which gives me inspiration for many different things! So like a half moon, usually the colors white, grey, black / or white, black / white, grey, black, and a dark blue would remind me of a enchanted rocky place in the night while the moon is half full (or of the yin yang lol). Or like autumn leaves would make me think of a deep red or orange - anyways, this video was great advice!💕

been thinking about my mersona for over year now but I finally figured it out with my name being sudric after a largely forgot language off an island off the barrow in Furness famous for its railway and keeping steam age alive it helps, I got a big Pashion for steam railway and in the prosses off getting involved with my local line keighley and worth valley railway and hoping once i made my mark there that i could try and see if there willing to some magic events with goblins fairy's and merfolk and many more creators wise been pulled the line steam engine like 41241 or better known as Arther.

I know this is an older video, but I am new to the community, and I have a question regarding my name and background and everything. Before even looking at anyone else's name, the name that stood out to me was Echo! I thought about echolocation from sea creatures especially orcas which are one of my favorite sea creatures. However, after watching this video and googling the name, I see that there is already a mermaid who goes by mermaid Echo! Of course, I want to be unique, but I really like that name however would it be stealing someone's mersona if I went by Merman Echo even though she is Mermaid Echo? Just want to be able to take my idea and run with it to become the best merman possible!
Since you are a merman, that would separate you from the other Echo in a way. Although if someone tried to go as Merman Phantom, I'll admit that I'd still feel a little salty about that. It's very thoughtful of you to think about how this could impact other performers! You could always alter the spelling some (Ekko, Eko, Ecko Ehko, for example), or add something before or after the name (Echoray, AquaEcho, for example)? You could also approach @MermaidEcho directly to see if it would be okay to be name twins! :)

I hate sharing my problems and fears,but I’m scared of publishing my stories,illustrations,animations,etc. because I’m afraid of people perverting and doing inappropriate fan art of my characters. My characters resemble real life people that I’ve met and if someone perverted their character with fanart, it would really upset me and the person that the character resembles. I would want my fans and fandom to be innocent and not do inappropriate fanart and memes with my characters,but I know that will never happen...Sorry that I’m sort of dumping my problems on you, I just don’t know if I want to publish my series or not because of the bad people. Many smaller UA-camrs that I know have also been spammed with links to horrible websites. I haven’t had it happen to me on UA-cam yet,but it did happen on Pinterest and I immediately blocked them. I hope you haven’t been spammed by these people and never will be spammed by them.
Like North Eastern Locomotion Shun said, it is okay to open up. I know it can be hard sometimes, but it is very brave of you to do so. 💜 As someone who has been around the internet for a while, I will say that I have never once had this problem and I really don't think there will be as many people doing this as you may think- especially if your characters and stories are on the innocent side/family friendly. What will or won't happen will depend largely on your audience and the stories that you tell. That is very caring of you to be so concerned about the people attached to the stories, by the way. That shows great respect for the individuals. I truly hope you don't have any issues if you do choose to post your tales and your artwork!
As far as weird DMs and comments go... don't check Pinterest DM's, they are ALL weird! XD
With UA-cam comments, videos containing links will usually be flagged and sent to your spam/filtered inbox. And to further protect yourself from unwanted comments, I suggest going to your UA-cam Studio Tab, clicking on the Settings, click on "Community," and scroll down to "Blocked Words." There, type in any words that you would like blocked. Personally, I block most swear words and any inappropriate sexual lingo... which is why my comment section is usually quite PG! Hehehe!
You can also block people here, in case anyone makes you uncomfortable.

When you do the mermaid spell ask someone that will volunteer to do the spell it would be cool to see you as a real mermaid the spell takes 3 days
Any tips on drying a neoprene tail quickly. Preferably without removing the fluke? And im just starting on my mersona
