Yeah, I have the vapor glove three I liked it better I like the soul on it better. I have the four now. Got a lot of miles on them. Probably at least 300. Oh, thinking about the 55 fingers are much better. I love the five fingers. The only problem is five fingers Are $140 and these are usually 80 so oh and these look like normal shoes when you’re wearing them, you can wear them into town in the whole bit but as far as performance and everything by fingers for barefoot, she was the best mate in my book and I run at all different stack shoes. I got racing shoes that are high stack with carbon plates. I got middle shoes that are for recovery runs but I wear barefoot shoes or sandals probably 60% of my runs. Have a good day. Enjoy the video.
Hi Todd, yes I really like the look of the Vapor Glove 3, and love running in the 4 - I have about 150 miles running in them. I also love running in the Vibram FF, both the VFF and the Vapor Glove feel good on my feet for different reasons. I wear barefoot style shoes all the time now (except an old pair of Altra’s I wear for working in) and really like them all, I like the idea of the carbon super shoes and would like to try them one day. Thanks for watching and commenting dude - happy running and have a great day too 👍🏃💪
I'm rotating between these and my mk3. Although they look a bit different they feel pretty much the same to run in. The 4's have reinforcement in the exact places that the 3's are wearing on the upper. One area I'd probably differ with you, I prefer these to run longer distances. With my old Brooks, after 10K my quads are shot, with the Merrell's I'm fine. Although I do run in thick socks (runderwear), not barefoot. I tried no socks once, but my feet aren't really strong enough. I've run 3 half marathons with them now (2 in half ironman, 1 stand alone). June is my first full ironman and I'll be using these for that.
Hi Dean. Yes, I'm just editing a video from a run I did today of around 14 miles in the Vapor Gloves and it went well, better than I got on doing the same route last week in the Altra Superior. Feet feel better today than they did last week! So I'm thinking now I can go a lot longer distance than I thought I'd be able to in the VG's
Hi hope you're well! Enjoy your reviews and channel, I run in both the Torins and Superiors too - but you've stoked my interest in the Vapor Gloves, just wondered how you find the fit with them? I wear a 12 in the Altras, would you say stick with the same size in the VG's? Also how does the width compare to the Altras? (not sure I can go back to anything with less width now!) :) Thanks
Hi! Love the Torins, still haven’t many miles in the Superior with the lockdown situation can’t get out on the trails. The Vapor Gloves are a touch narrower than the Altras but it’s not a massive difference. Both Altras I have are size 8, and the VG are size 8 1/2 all fit me perfectly, so I’d say to go up half a size in the VG. I bought both an 8 and 8 1/2 online to see which one fit best at home and then sent the 8 back as they were just the tiniest bit short 😊 Thanks for your comment and glad you are enjoying the reviews and content 😁 I’ve just clocked up 500 miles in the Torins and love them and the VGs they are both great shoes to run in 👍
@@skinnylegsbarefootshoes Great thanks, thats really helpful re:sizing & fit, much appreciated! Might see if I can pick up a pair cheap somewhere to try out.. I've been using Vivobarefoot primus FG for road and trails a fair bit - good for when you want to concentrate on form, and very versatile. I can def recommend them too (you can pick up their slighty cheaper at their Revivo site). Cheers, happy running.
@@mrjfox7191 Nice one, I’ve just ordered some Vivobarefoot Primus Lite’s 😁 I haven’t looked for ages as they always seem sold out in my size but they had the Primus Lite for £77 bargain! Hope they fit 😆 I’ll let you know how I get on 👍
@@skinnylegsbarefootshoes Ah good work - yeah I meant to say they also have some good deals atm on the original site too! Glad to hear you managed to snag a bargain👍 I have some primus lites also, really like them. Would be v.interested to hear what you think, especially in terms of fit & performance compared to the VG's? Keep us posted!
Hi, I am running in FiveFingers V-run since 2018. My foot is quite used to such models. Now I am looking for something for orienteering runs (more than 40 kilometers), but I am worried, that it is too long distance for such shoes... Or rather for my feet in there :D Please tell me, what is your longest run in Merrell? How did you feel?
Wow that’s a great distance. The longest run I’ve done is 23km mixed road and trail about 70% road and 30% trail. I live in the centre of a city. I imagine the Vapor Glove would be similar to the Five Fingers in the sole, but without the separated toes. They are still my favourite running shoes, I have a video on my channel of the 23km run 👍
@@skinnylegsbarefootshoes great, thanks for the answer, I will check that video. If you will decide to run more, let me know. Really curious about your impressions!
