GXL power window conversion, Workmate 79 Series Landcruiser **GROUND BREAKING BUILD*

Hey guys! Thanks for joining me again! Today we're putting power windows in the 79! The kit I bought uses genuine parts to convert workmate 3/4 windows to GXL full glass windows. It all went together pretty easily and only took a day or so.

Hey mate can you tell me how you lined up the regulator? Looks like you had to drill new holes? Trying to fit mine now cheers

I didnt have to drill any new holes, the laser cutting on the Chinese door shells was dodgey so I had to open them out a little. The top corner motor bolt hole is the big hole with a little slot off it directly below where the front of the handle sits. the other three motor bolts line up after that, the slide bolts are the round hole and slotted hole above the big oval cut out at the rear of the door. Hope that makes sense/ helps

Reckon I’d be able do a conversion in my 75 series? Without changing the door

75 series have a different shape door (front top corner is squared off). So the glass from the kit I bought would not work in those doors. I’d be looking at a generic power window kit off eBay and customising it to fit your current 3/4 windows
