There’s SO much variation to what each one is doing. I love seeing the highly detailed ones mixed in with simple tables with some toys or Legos mixed in with elaborate track designs. The scope of it really captures a lot of ways we enjoy these trains!
Great job, Chris! Thanks for sharing with the entire model railroading community a delightful slice of the truly "toy train" niche of our hobby. When I was very actve on the OGR Forum for several years, my posts all had a sign off line something like "Hey, it's a big tent with room enough for everybody". I firmly believe that model railroading is a comprehensive pastime that embraces everybody from the most serious George Kohs-style rivet counters to the eccentrically whimsical Walter Matuch's Beeps and Beefs. Somewhere in that panoply are the incomparably iconic three rail scale guys like Norm Charboneau, Bob Bartizec, Neil Schorr, Phil Klopp, Eric Siegel and the late, greats, Jim Barret and Marty Fitzhenry. It's all about having fun and forming lifelong friendships. Chris, with your video casts and these great anthologies of your toy train pals' layouts, you are performing a wonderful service to all of us in the hobby! Thank you. See you at York!
Wonderfully entertaining and seeing other's layouts are great motivation for me to build a more permanent place to run my collection! Thank you, Chris 🙂 and many thanks to all of you who videoed your layouts to share with us all👍
Part 2 was just as good as Part 1. All of those videos are proof that our hobby is healthy and growing thanks to efforts like this from railroaders like Chris. Something that I found interesting throughout was that, in addition to some incredible landscaping by many people, there are a lot of us who are still showing a lot of bare wood. I like the sense of potential to be realized.
I loved Part 2 equally as much as Part 1! It is very inspiring to see what everyone else is doing and it encourages me to keep plugging away at my work in progress layout. Thanks again Chris for putting this together, it was a honor to be a part of it. Keep up the fantastic work everyone!!
Thanks a lot, Chris! This has been a truly an eye opening experience seeing all this rail fan variety from so many parts of North America and Europe! You have a great knack for making fans welcome and happy to share their modelling efforts with others. Keep up the good work!
Chris I just received my UP 2021 Katy Locomotive, it is a great locomotive and you are the reason why I got back into the hobby in 2021 as well. Thanks for your great videos and knowledge.
Great video Chris, its amazing the variety and the fun people have running their trains. Keep going Chris, your enthusiasm really helps the model railroading hobby.

Mr RBP you own an extraordinary layout and collection 👍🏻✨️✨️✨️✨️ I really enjoyed the layouts featured on your channel awesome layouts may God bless you and your family by the way you are a very funny comedian
Nice to see the workman ship and creativity of everyone involved cant wait until I can show some of my O gauge motive power, predominantly kit built running in the garden, ranging from small LBSC Terriers to the Flying Scotsman and Big Bertha.
Very nice. It is good to see all the excellent layouts. Very diverse. Maybe next year when I finally get the new layout up and running, I'll contribute a video. Keep up the great work.
Great video!! My layout is in 00 gauge and will depict the television show Dad’s Army. It will be around ten feet long in total. My son should have completed modifications to it by the last Sunday of August.
I usually announce the RBP and Friend submission process in a video. This year I announced it in the “Modern Vs Vintage” trains video. I will also keep everyone updated on my Community Page here on UA-cam. Thanks for watching!
Lots of folks asking about how to submit videos and the best way is to be subscribed so everyone is getting notifications and such. Plus we are close to 40k! Hard to believe it. Thanks for watching!
I feel like Lionel their engines are really cool however they go through this great detail to make the engines look good but the track with three rails and plastic ballast looks really fake and toy like a little kids so it’s just weird boy of trying to look scale, and then completely failing to follow throughthey could really do a lot better and it would be super awesome. They’re almost there. I feel if you want something scale HO or scale is the way to go probably HO.
RBI trains I heard there's a railroad in Blowing rock North Carolina it's called tweety railroad they have 2 historical steam engines which you can ride in Some Kid rides And the Rides for grown ups See so you might wanna pk your bag and book a hotel cause You might have a fly over to North Carolina if you wanna check out tweety tweetsy railroad steam engines are 190 and12
12 Has a Wheel arrangement of 064 A new wonder how she got her number Cause of her wheels when you count them the total is 12 190's Wheel arrangement is12Just count all of their wheels And then you'll get the right Answer
