Single leg squats, lunges, squats + core. If you can do nordic leg curls, you’ll work to protect your knees as well

Yesn’t.
Unless you can source one of the old Voile releasable Tele bindings they aren’t any 75mm bindings that are releasable.
That said, I also don’t anyone personally that has blown a knee Tele skiing. Then again, there aren’t that many folks Tele skiing anyway.
I have tweaked my knee a few times myself, but that has never been during a fall.
That extra degree of freedom and constantly bent knees in the genuflect seems to protect the joints.
So yes, it’s safe but no it’s not. Ski conservative and learn how to fall, protecting your knees.
The turn is so fun but tough enough it will be years before you’re going to be worried about that.
