have to watch the whole thing as the character development is masterpiece and how it portrays all peoples situations

I started watching this drama but quit after a couple of episodes. It was too different from other series I have seen. I picked it up again a year later after I heard it was really good. Yeah... once I hit episode 4 I was hooked. I consider this series to be the best I have ever seen. IU is a revelation. I had no idea she was such an amazing actress.

besides My Mister’s great story and acting, the soundtrack is also great.
there’s maybe 7 or 8 songs they use throughout the series, and they’re all so fitting and well-placed!

I also loved the soundtrack,when I heard some of the songs I realized they are from soviet union/Russian classics,just translated to Korean, they sound so great you wouldn't even know that they aren't Korean originally,I would even say the vocals are better,that what confused me at first,why do I have this nostalgia for a Korean song,oh wait,it's a soviet song I've heard all the time my mom listening to. Now that I think about it pre-kpop Korea had huge soviet/Russian cultural influence same way eastern Europe did.Basically everyone over 40 in Korea knows majority of Russian classics because they have been covered by so many talented people.

It's called "mixed coffee" and sugar, cream, and coffee are all in one bag. If you drink several cups of coffee, you can overcome your hunger. That means Ji-An don't have that much money.

Its something I can definitely do. I've been looking at maybe doing a patreon account and could well include these in it. The cut reactions are just to get around copyright really. But I may do that in the near future if enough were interested 😊

The drink is Maxim instant coffee mix. IU was the spokesmodel for the brand that year among about 20 other various different brands/companies. Fun fact: for some months during 2018 she was the leading celebrity in brand endorsements and also shot the most CFs as well I believe.

My Mister and Misaeng. Two of the best Kdramas ever produced. Set the bar too high after I watched these two. Wonder if there are other Kdramas out there with the same calibre.

What you are curious about in the show is Korean instant coffee. It tastes like milk coffee with sugar. It is super popular in Korea. - Especially among Korean office workers. Even I am drinking that instant coffee at this moment! hahaha. Anyway, i feel a little sorry for you that this drama is your "first" K-drama because definitely this drama will give you so much high expectation level about K-drama. So maybe you'll never be satisfied enough with next new Kdrama after you finish My Mister. Maybe "Misaeng" or "Flower of Evil" can be good as your next K-drama. Anyway, i hope you can watch this drama to the last episode because last episode of this Kdrama will really touch your soul deeply. have a good day. :)
Ah okay! I initially thought it was coffee but didnt think it looked right haha. I'm definitely watching this to the very end. Will post a reaction and review each week. I'll still checkout other kdramas, even if they cant meet 'my mister' standards, I'm sure theres some great ones on their own right. 😊

Welcome to kdrama land☺️ although My Mister is pretty good, my favorite kdrama by far is 'The World of the Married' it's a bit more on the mature side, fast paced drama and unexpected plot twists. My Mister is a slow burn so it took a while for me to appreciate it (still good though so I definitely recommend sticking it through if you can) however The World of the Married is more likely to hook you by the end of the first episode:) it's not on Netflix but can be found easily for free on other websites! :)

What she steals from the office and drinks at home is instant coffee in Korea. The coffee brand name is Maxim. Because that instant coffee contains a lot of sugar and cream, you can earn a lot of calories just by drinking a cup. also, it is cheap. Warm instant coffee, which is high in calories, seems to be used to soothe her stomach instead of a proper meal for her who is always tired of working.

My Mister is so different from other 90% kdramas out there XD a rare breed ...
This drama is a bit more like japan dramas than kdrama in term of story, message, and the storytelling style. So yeah, pls dont see My Mister as an example of kdrama in general.

The drinks are just shitty powdered coffee,like nescafe 3in1,nothing Korean. It's what poor ppl drink in Asia/Eastern Europe to stay up,they are like 5 euro cents each,poor ppl and students who can't cook usually also eat fast noodles which are extremely unhealthy but cheap,like 20 cents. But both are extremely tasty. Sometimes I have spicy noodles just for nostalgia or if I want something spicy.
