  • Here are four brilliant coffee table books Norm received and picked up over the holiday break that share a common theme: worldbuilding. From the fan-favorite characters of Star Wars: The Mandalorian to the concept art that fueled the space race, these compilations of illustrations, technical drawings, and paintings explore worlds both fantastical and right at our grasp.

Video game art books are fantastic coffeetable items too, you definitely have to know to look for them though because the print runs are really limited!

I received the Anime Architecture book as a gift for Christmas and i was completely bown away by it, such an in-depth dive into the original materials, and the mind of artist and movie directors is really a one of a kind opportunity, especially considering how few japanese productions tend to share this kind of information.

All of the art books for Miyazaki's films are fantastic. You get to see his doodles and concept art and the progression of that stuff toward the final product.

I saw an indie comic company called Gosh comics selling it on their online store. I’m in the UK though, so idk if it will show up in your country’s search results or if they ship to wherever you live.

Honestly, Truthfully, Respectfully... I truly hope Adam would maybe make the Blundergat, The Sweeper, Acidgat, Vitrolic Withering, Magmagat, or Magmus Operandi for a build video. The amount of detail he would put in, would make it look straight from Bo2/Bo4. Absolutely beautiful. Maybe this will just stay a hope and dream, I doubt Adam maybe even knows about Bo2/Bo4's existence.
Which makes sense, I am sure he has more stuff to do, more important things going on.

It's really odd how long it has taken for a second edition to be printed and shipped?

If you look up the publisher, you might find alternative sources that have stock. From what I can tell though, it's currently slated for reprint, so you can either wait, or track down one of those alternative sources for yourself. I was able to order one, but I can't say if they'll still have stock by the time you look.

Having visited the Anime Architecture exhibition in Berlin, it’s a book I have been awaiting for a few years and was so cool to receive it upon release. Sorry to hear people are unable to obtain it but I suppose it is sort of a boutique publication?

Nice books, if I had space I would get two or 3 of them.
Astronauts: Like SF drawings, but I do not really need the astronaut in it.
Art of NASA: NASA is interesting, especially seeing their ideas.
Star Wars: I liked the first couple of Star Wars film, but for me there is too many parts of it now.
Anime: I like anime and also the movies covered, but the movie version of "Ghost in the shell" did not score as high as the original.
