Hey I’ve just realised how under-appreciated your videos are! Thank you for doing this, as a very recent Fashion Design Graduate I love watching your videos because they keep me motivated and inspired now I’m out of my university’s studio environment. Thank you for everything you do ❤️

Heidi, could you talk more about including or not pics of finished items please?
    How important it is?
What to do if you do not have any?
    Thanks!

Hi, your videos are awesome and should have more views in my opinion. Can you tell me what the difference is between "flats / CAD work" and "tech sketches" ? Thank you!

Flats are sketches drawn as though the garment is laying flat on a table and include accurate construction and details. Most often they are done in Illustrator.
CAD means Computer Aided Design and is a more broad term related to artwork that is created with a computer. Many brands use the word "CADs" when they reference digital work such as flats...so those words are sometimes used interchangeably.
Tech Sketches are flats with written callouts that specify details like what kind of stitching, trims, construction etc is used.
My Guide to Fashion Industry Terminology and Abbreviations may help you become more familiar with some of these terms :)
