Though cannabis doesn’t effect me well and gives me a lot of anxiety, i rub THC lotion on my patients who have ALS; it helps their pain and stiffness almost immediately! Also has helped a lot of our patients control their seizures and the side effects! I think it’s important to note that it can definitely have some negative side effects but what doesn’t! I think it’s super important for medicine. Thank you for making this video
There’s been a ton of research in the past few years picking apart all the different cannabinoids present in the cannabis plant overall, and how each affects a slightly different body-system. There’s been some fantastic advances on how to apply a proper balance/mix of them to relieve things like joint inflammation or bowel inflammation, since neither are caused by the same thing, but can be treated with the same chemical process. OP, I’m sure that what you experienced and/or what you’re using on your patients is a concentrated cream of “pure” THC that interacts with their nervous system in a different way than how you have likely experienced THC. Regardless, you’re an amazing person for taking the needs of your patients seriously and keeping up with current medicine instead of reading FDA scare-mongering. I’ve worked in healthcare for 5+ years and still cannot believe the amount of judgment there is in insurance and regulations… 😔
@@sydposting With pharmaceutical companies and insurance, it's all about, 'how much can we make off it?', and nothing to do with the patient or their needs. ✌😸
Cannabis helps me sleep and helps when I am in pain. I'm allergic to nsaids and now that cannabis is legal in my state I don't have to just live in pain or beg a doctor for opioids. I don't use cannabis everyday or even every week, but it's sooooo helpful to be able to use it legally when I need it.
Being allergic to nsaids and living with inflammatory diseases is THE WORST! I’m in Texas and I’m afraid they’ll never legalize it. Though, I don’t know why.
I watched this video first on my own, bc I love Dark History and watch every week, and then with my teen for educational purposes! Thank you Bailey for this!! It helps me as a pro-cannabis parent explain both the wonders and lies surrounding this amazing little plant :)
I live in Texas but even my pain management doctor has told me that he can’t legally suggest I smoke marijuana because it’s illegal, but if I did it would help with the nausea from my pain medicine and overall pain from my chronic illness. I wish they would hurry up and make marijuana legal in Texas. If nothing else, at least for medical issues
Come to Florida. Yes it 100% helps all those issues. I've been a medical cannabis patient for 4yrs now. It saved my life! I got off of 12 different pharmaceuticals and switched to Cannabis. It's the only thing that ever truly helped all my symptoms from multiple chronic illnesses. I only wish I would have tried it way sooner! I had been totally against it and never used it, until I was 47. It has been the best thing I could have ever done for my health, physically and mentally. ✌💚
Cannabis has been around so long in the historical record that the EARLIEST written languages have words for it, and its use in establishing spiritual trances. Legalize it - and REGULATE it too! 😰 So much junk in “delta” vapes…
@@sydposting Yes. Obviously it will be regulated once leagalized. The same way food, alcohol, and tobacco are regulated. States that are open to medical and recreational marijuana are regulated... CBD has done wonders with my auto-immune disease and chronic pain. 10 years ago I'd tell anyone I'd never touch this stuff. Now, I've been enlightened and think MJ should be legalized (come on Pennsylvania, get with the times!). And yes, I'm old. Great video!
I’m from PA and it’s legal for medical use. You just have to get a doctors approval (and get your medical marijuana card). @Lolly Lolly Sometimes CBD does nothing for chronic pain. Both myself and a friend who had severe chronic pain (his was from years of boxing, then being a boxing coach) its the THC that helps. If the idea makes you nervous, just start with a low THC content, and work your way up.
CBD was the only thing that alleviated my D-MER symptoms, so much so, the very first time I used it was the only time I ever fed either of my kids without a wave. Its incredible stuff x

Cannabis helps with my migraines; severe depression; severe anxiety; fibromyalgia; arthritis; tendonitis; blood pressure; psiatica; back, neck, knee etc problems and nausea from all the meds my doctors put me on. I told ALL my doctors I prefer Cannabis over ALL the medications they prescribe but they all say," Unfortunately it's illegal so you have to take the medications." My response,"Even though they make me sick to my stomach, I cannot sleep well through the night and I am having side affects like vertigo and black out spells!?" Their response," We'll have to adjust your doses and try some new meds." I'm tired of being SICK from prescribed medications 💯
I also have fibromyalgia and am currently in the process of applying for a card that SHOULD protect me from prosecution in the UK. Here, the only way to legally access cannabis is via private prescription which is expensive and unfeasible for most people, especially those who are unable to work due to their disabilities who are the ones that need it the most. Of course, most people here have at least tried it, and many regularly use it, but there doesn’t seem to be as much of a push for the legalisation here as there appears to be across America. Who knows, maybe one day that will change, but as it currently stands the UK is in no rush to consider legalising 🙁
I have the same stuff as you and I completely agree!! Luckily I’m in a state where it’s legal for medical use so I got my medical card. I hope it is legalized in your state soon!!

Yes! Release them if that is all they are there for. Prison is to keep violent criminals and murderers off of the streets.
Happy 420! Haha a year later I come back to one of my favorite Dark History episodes. I absolutely adore you! Sending love and hugs 💛
I love how you delve into each subject and make it memorable. My husband and I are addicted. I was working as a greeter at Walmart and this lady walked in wearing one of your sweatshirts. I had to explain in excitement when I saw the Dark History logo. You are awesome!
Been working in the cannabis industry for about 7 years now, it's truly a magical plant🙌🌱💚
YES 🖐️ I agree 💯.
I'm here for this! Currently at work twisting pre-rolls as I listen to this. So perfect. 💚
I just sat down after a long day of work, ready to smoke some of the devil's lettuce, and thought "What shall I watch?" Well this is just perfect!
Please do dark history of DMT!
Keep in mind that that could also include psychedelic mushrooms, ayahuasca, and crystalline DMT!
Absolutely wild history! From Terence McKenna to many SWIM rogue chemist! Lots of info out there if you like digging.
That would be amazing if she did that but for some reason I feel like it won't happen but who knows!
She could do that one on DMT and invite the elves
Dmt needs more media fr fr
@@BeesRecipes I had the same feeling as you did that this isn’t going to happen as I started reading the actual contents of the subject matter. & anyway documentaries might be better for that type of topic, but idk
Yes. Psychedelics in general. They have suffered a similar political fate.
Cannabis helped me a lot with my anxiety and my anger management! A true savior for me and I’m grateful it’s legal in my state
I’ll just say that your first episode about dupont has become a main point of research in my degree currently. so thank you for the inspiration 💗💗
I missed you, Bailey! Watching you talk about important highlights in history gives me comfort.
Thankyou Bailey for your hard work stay safe.💜
I've found that who you're with can greatly affect that experience of anxiety. It's still illegal where I am. 😕 That can make a difference, too....
@@sydposting With pharmaceutical companies and insurance, it's all about, 'how much can we make off it?', and nothing to do with the patient or their needs. ✌😸
You can always try CBD there is also certain types of marijuana strains meant for anxiety I take it myself
@@sydposting yess when it became illegal here in Canada my husband used it obviously LOL and it plays his Crohn's in remission..
Love that you’re shining a light on this amazing plant! End the stigma! 🍃💚
Ugh, I feel like it won’t ever happen because things are just backwards here.
They’re currently in the process of legalizing it federally. It’s in the hands of the Senate
Look into Delta 10 it’s sold legally in your state
Come to Florida. ✌💚
I highly doubt Texas will ever make it legal, unless they are forced to.
Had to sit with a smoke and watch this this is exactly what we needed ❤️ and you look gorgeous Bailey 💞
YES!!! After the prohibition video I was expecting this one. ❤❤❤❤
And yes. Cannabis is it's proper name.
Legalize Cannabis.
Vapes should only be purchased at a legal dispensary and if anyone is really interested you can always ask for a Certificate of Analysis for the product you are purchasing.
Yes we Cannabis
It is legal ...
@@TheBAYOUBRAT 🙃🙃🙃
LOL so I listen to the podcast normally and I never really watched the podcast as a UA-cam video, and I always just assume that Joan was like a person helping Bailey out in the background stop... Now I'm realizing that Joan is just a fake Crow... 🤣
Joan is not fake 😱😱
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Joan Crowford is her full name.
Same! 😂
Don't let Joan hear you say that.
Oh, nay, nay, Joan is not JUST a crow.
Finally watching this episode, it’s aggravating how in order to apply for a government job I must quit being friends with cannabis. Yet, the government allows me to be friends with alcohol and tobacco 😠 I really want to fight to be friends with cannabis instead 💪🏻💚
I absolutely loved this episode, I grew up in the 80 s and 90 s and I remember all the programs and school education about this and it was a joke, you were spot on..
❤️❤️❤️
CBD has done wonders with my auto-immune disease and chronic pain. 10 years ago I'd tell anyone I'd never touch this stuff. Now, I've been enlightened and think MJ should be legalized (come on Pennsylvania, get with the times!). And yes, I'm old. Great video!
I’ve tried many different forms of CBD with no luck. Do you have any advice? Fibro/migraine sufferer.
Imagine school history lesson being this interesting
Yasssss I’m so here for this 🤣💚‼️🍃💨
"Poor little plant was a criminal" killed me 🤣🤣🤣
Snoop Dogg laughed when you said you didn’t recommend getting high then filming 😆😂🤣
You know what? I want to see Bailey’s robe collection! It must be a beautiful rainbow of silks 😍
😍 ah yess
@@adriananabananana3021 Right she should totally tell us in every episode where she gets her robes because they’re all beautiful

Smoking as I'm watching this! 🌬 I smoke because of my colon cancer and it helps me so much especially the pain
Love you Bailey. Got a lot to clean right now. You uploaded riiiight as I’m looking for something to watch while I do the dishes. PERFECT timing! Super excited to watch the video mi amor.

Remember Americans: the house has passed the MORE act, and it's going to the Senate to be voted on. Call your local congress and encourage them pass this and end prohibition of cannabis!
As long as the GOP holds on common sense is impossible. It would help most states financial issues but nope.

You getting so high you're paranoid is the most relatable thing I've ever heard come out of your mouth! I just got my medical cannabis card here in Tx and yeah...apparently I'm a lightweight. Had to have my husband hold me one night so I could fall asleep. 🥴🤙🏼
You can get a card in Tx now?? Maybe there’s hope yet!
haha 😂 been there done that.
Every time Bailey says ‘mandatory minimum sentences’ I hear System of a Down in my head.

Yeah but usually sponsorships have deadlines & she has a whole team to consider but that would have been cool
Cannabis helps with my migraines; severe depression; severe anxiety; fibromyalgia; arthritis; tendonitis; blood pressure; psiatica; back, neck, knee etc problems and nausea from all the meds my doctors put me on.
I told ALL my doctors I prefer Cannabis over ALL the medications they prescribe but they all say," Unfortunately it's illegal so you have to take the medications."
My response,"Even though they make me sick to my stomach, I cannot sleep well through the night and I am having side affects like vertigo and black out spells!?"
Their response," We'll have to adjust your doses and try some new meds."
I'm tired of being SICK from prescribed medications 💯
You need to move to a legal state
I also have fibromyalgia and am currently in the process of applying for a card that SHOULD protect me from prosecution in the UK.
I am also fighting for disability so I cannot just pickup and move like I would like to.
I have the same stuff as you and I completely agree!! Luckily I’m in a state where it’s legal for medical use so I got my medical card. I hope it is legalized in your state soon!!
You definitely need to add 'just nay nay' shirt to your merch!
Thank you Bailey!!!! I’m not even done the episode but I’m a student studying cannabis horticulture and learned all of this in school. Nobody knows the full truth, thank you for breaking the news to everyone 🤣❤️. (And for anyone reading this comment that is interested I’m going to school at Pennsylvania Institute of Technology and most classes are online so you can take them anywhere).
The timing for this is impeccable my state just went legal on April 1st!🎉
You in nm too?!

I loved this episode and I should've guessed since you're so chill, but I had no idea you're so down with cannabis! That makes you a million times cooler in my eyes. I adore & love you Bailey!
And this comes out on the day I’m legally allowed to use medical cannabis. Ah. What a journey this has been.
Congrats! Here in Tx we’ll probably be the last state to legalize cannabis. This state is seriously backwards!
