I liked how the H5 helmet takes inspiration of the namesake Egyptian god AND, somehow, manage to also make it look like a Sangheili
I don't see the problem with that
It didn't look like anubis to me. It also didn't look like an elite. It's just another armor set.
@@olibarrett4283 they did manage to capture both if you actually tried looking at it in detail, the helmet is sleek and angular with a thin visor portraying the sharp jackal head of anubis, the sangheili comes in when it smoothens the angles and makes it smooth and rounded without taking away its sleek and sharp design of the overall helmet, just like many of the elite helmet designs.
Well the Sangheili are supposed to be a sort of equivalent of the ancient Egyptians how their homeworld is a desert planet with civilizations cultivated in the numerous vast oases, and looking into Halo 5’s Sangheili props in Forge, you can see that they are clearly inspired by ancient Egyptians with their sandstone monuments and giant sandstone sculptures. Not sure if this is the lore Bungie intended, but that’s what 343 did to the species in Halo 5.
The new art style makes the armor look really good
this is the only time anyone will ever say this about anything, but the Halo 5 version was better IMO

@@lordsylph414 you may think it’s better, and that’s fine, but it was undeniably radically different from the original Halo games. That was the issue.
@@BLAM5980 so? HALO 2 was radically different from HALO CE, in terms of design, mechanics, and sandbox. H3 was so radically changed in terms of combat mechanics, it’s almost unrecognizable.
Change is *good.* without it, franchises become stale and die
@@lordsylph414 Halo 2 had a different art style because there were less graphical limitations. Halo 3 style was very similar to Halo 2s style except of course, graphically better. 343 went and changed up something that everyone already loved. Change is good but too much is not
Anubis is indeed an awesome armor set. I do hope we get some more H4/ 5 returning sets, I just want my gosh dang Warmaster!
GEN2 Recon and GEN2 Scout will return,but with other names
GEN2 Scout is my 2nd favourite helmet, so I'm glad it's returning.
I'm so glad they brought Aviator back. Now I'm wondering if they'll bring back Warrior.
I can never remember the name of the set from 4, but you got it from putting a code on Waypoint. I hope that returns in some form

This gives me hope that Copperhead will be in infinite. That is my all time favorite Halo Armor and would LOVE to see it return. It would actually be very depressing if it's gone :(

I love human and Sangheili Collabs, its always interesting and just makes sense since they're allies. I saw someone's artwork of a spartan with Banish armor called "Traitor" and it looked really nice. Would love a banish/spartan set
Despite how needlessly difficult it is to obtain it. I love the Hellioskrill armor. Because it's basically just the Sangheili going. *"We can do this Mjolnir thing too guys!"* And then making It look like Sangheili armor with a visor and full body plating

Mainly the Arbiter’s group of the Sangheili which is nice, there are always some who are against them and humanity.
As much as I like both the old and new look, I feel like they should kept more design aspects of the old armor. Make the jaw on the helmet a bit smaller for example

No, it's not. It's a shop exclusive chestpiece. The actual Anubis armor bundle didn't come with a chestpiece, if I remember correctly.

You know what baffles me? That when making Halo 5, 343 decided NOT to give ANYONE in team Osiris (literally another, technically more important Egyptian god of the dead) the god-damn Anubis helmet! Like its such am obvious choice lmfao
Additional fact, is that its got some limitation due to "issues" with either ONI or Watershed Division.
This, and the Helioskrill are one of the coolest armor sets I ever seen from Halo 5. Honestly, the Helioskrill armor should make a return for Halo: Infinite.
I feel that the infinite version, while it looks cool, missed the mark on making it feel like it’s designed similar to the H5 Anubis armor. The H5 version was very reminiscent of jackals, Anubis’s animal avatars, and it felt like you were chosen by the Egyptian god of death himself to stalk your prey from the shadows when you used it. The infinite version doesn’t quite capture that for me from what I’ve seen of it so far, but I hope that it will be able to regain that ‘chosen’ feel the H5 armor had.
Is it because it's a bit fatter and simplified? You might be able to combine armor pieces to get what you're looking for
Huh, while I really don't think the actual Egyptian god would ever like, choose someone to do that, I do see your point. I do admit the new one is less special-looking, but I guess it isn't as much of a downgrade as Rogue got in Halo 4. Speaking of which it does give me h3 rogue vibes now.
@@midgetman4206 The armor still looks great, I guess the helmet just doesn’t feel as animalistic as it’s predecessor. Also I will most definitely be mixing my armor up nonstop, I’ll probably spend more time in the armory than the battlefield lol

Yes exactly. People's complaints that the spartans mjolnir weren't uniform enough were addressed, but people forget that the organic and animalistic features are there for a reason.
Makes me love my infinite Anubis even more imagining a nice aftermarket Covenant style hud underneath that visor. So cool
Seeing as how I have the halo 5 set version as my personal helmet both in game and real life I’m not sure how I feel of the infinite version. I’ll still rock it tho

The idea of a skull shaped visor is sick but they made it look way too busy and just…weird. Like idk just doesn’t look like it comes from Halo imo but maybe that’s a good reason why it needs the rework treatment
This armour looks amazing in infinite. The removal of all the 'over cluttered' details from the halo 5 has done wonders for this thing.
I had forgotten it was even in halo 5 tbh, it looks so much more distinct and memorable now
Anubis Set was my go to armor in H5. Put it in gold and black, and you got an Egyptian God running around the battlefield.

One of my favorite sets from Halo 5 along with Argus, Stalker, and CIO. The new Infinite design is nice but I dislike how they made the helmet unnecessarily fat. They should have stuck to the more streamlined look the original had in Halo 5.

Anubis is one of my favourite halo 5 style helmets but I’m very glad it got redesigned for GEN3, it looks even better now
Anubis and Recruit were good Spartan armors.
Man i really hope they bring back halo 4's hazop helmet, one of the coolest helmets in my opinion, and really the only one i favorited out of the others in halo 4.

Anubis is such a cool armor set and I personally felt the thrusters looked really cool in Halo 5 for that armor specifically
anubis feels like a true successor to Halo 3's Rogue helmet, and i'm all in for it.
I kinda wish the interceptor helmet made a comeback. I feel like it would fit perfectly with infinite's art style. It's always been a hidden gem imo.
Knowing the Sangheili collaborated on the design, you can see the vague resemblance to an Elite's head and neck arc, along with the mandible
The lore of the sangheili helping develop this armour is so cool in my opinion.

Halo 4 and 5 art style stomps Infinite
There were a handful of great armor sets in Halo 5. I also liked the Unicorn set and some of the curvier futuristic-looking sets.

I love the look of the helmet part of Anubis, and the visor has the same glaring profile in infinite, but the shape of halo 5’s version reminds me so much of Titanfall 2, and it kills me they simplified that part in infinite. Still such a cool helm, but a little of that shape returning would’ve been nice
Incidentally I was hoping from infinite's outset that they'd keep anuibus. It was one of the few really good, original designs from (only) 5 and I'm glad it kept

I love the Anubis armor it's probably one of my favorite sets
We may not play as Elites, but with the Anubis armor, we can look like them. So this is basically one of the best armor sets in Halo
The bulkiness of the front end kinda looks like an elite could fit their head in it
There’s also the soldier armor set, the basic helmet you start with is the recruit helmet, there’s the recon helmet and literally many more.

I want my Atlas armor back man, the lore behind it is cool too, it was ment to be a spartan equivalent of a main battle tank and the one we see in Halo 5 is not even complete yet, it is said to still recieve more modules in the lore

I definitely miss the old 343 art style, but I’m glad that it’s more classic now. There’s less arguing which is a decent trade for me.

I Really Liked the Angular/Sharp Look of It in H5, Looks Like Rouge and Scout Had a Child. the Hi Version Kinda Puts Me Off with It's Rounded Features.
Halo 4/5 art style was finally settling among people thanks to decent armor sets later in it's life span, like Anubis armor. Were Halo 5 in better state from beginning, we could have had Halo 6 with the same style and enhanced mobility and people wouldn't mind it, but 343 would have to prove their direction is earned and that it works as evolution of Halo. But they were consistently stumbling with it, so here we are.
I like both but I absolutely love that H5 design.
Also the Anubis armor does look like the flight harness from Halo 2 elites that wore said flight harness.

I'm not gonna lie, I just want the boxy Soldier chestpiece to make a comeback, that was my favorite piece of the Soldier armor. I was so upset when I realized that the Soldier armor bundle didn't come with it.
I also had a helmet that I enjoyed and used alot in Halo 5. I hope it also gets included but doubtfully I don't think it will be put in or it will be a long time till they implement it in. The Reaper Set... specifically the Reaper Grim helmet is my favorite.

@Ascend Hyperion I hope players get the GEN 2 Chief Helmet, the Hellcat (chest piece), Helioskrill, FOTUS, and Hunter Armor Sets. They're actually some of the most beautiful sets of the Reclaimer saga.
The new helmet reminds me of the helmets in XCOM 2 the standard soldiers you come across.
Of course, thrusters no longer exist; now we use grappling hooks for some bizarro reason
