I find it so interesting that both cores introduced in season 2 have similar stories. Rakshasa was made because the banished were dominating spartans and were forced to have to move around and put on armor of others. The eaglestrike wad made out of necessity to win the final war and a desperate attempt to fight back. Also that one of the shoulder pads is literally a speaker.
This season is heavily themed around the struggle for survival, it's very interesting and cool
Rakshasa was made to be an easily repairable and modifiable model of mjolnir, for long term deployments without any resupply. It’s often used in anti Banished and anti Created operations
@Michael Mazurczyk I agree, and I’d expect Tier One ODST’s to be fielding the field expedient mish mash that is Raksasha.
Maybe to better to the job of keeping an eye over their less capable regular force brethren and to better be able as a QRF and a lighting fast force.
Not a solution to Gen 3’s flaws and failings. Tactics and other options. I get that the Spartans are being pressed hard and without having the ability to upkeep Mjolnir, but realistically a military will try EVERYTHING except going retro in a hard backstep.(at least any military that isn’t a vodka fueled warcrimes horde)
I like the references and take on WW1 and 40k. The mention of warp, archeotech, someone I'm sure will bring up a machine God
The armor core likely took some inspiration from the Fallout series as well.
@@NCRVeteranRanger I saw that too!
@@NCRVeteranRanger and doom
Eagle strike is why I love and hate the fractures events. The armors are nice and the universe is intriguing but I know we won’t get more from this world once the new fracture event occurs. I’d much rather see this be a universe totally separate from halo.
I like it kinda alt universe Halo is interesting. Though i will say if like to see these universes fleshed out in a halo legends style
@@brandonscott5512 would be nice but probably won’t happen.
@@brandonscott5512Star Wars made a whole book out of its visions story about the Jedi shogun and the Sith who rebelled.
If 343 were smart they’d do something similar here
@creed8712 personally, the fractures events are neat, and i like the background stories of said events they could totally do a anime of each one and i think itd be pretty successful
Well, now there's hope that Entrenched may come back in a few weeks (season 5) since Yoroi came back
The lore in some armor pieces alone, could write a better an more cohesive story than the whole Halo tv show. I love Halo's world and lore for all the detail that allows you to get really immersed.
This is really my favorite of the Fractures armor cores. The dieselpunk asthetic, the lore behind it, and just how badass some of the pieces look. It's definitely a kickass armor core and I'll continue to wear it until 343 somehow make better ones.
Same! I'll rock this core forever, it's so sick.
Here we are with an updated/inspired SPI armour core. Eagle strike is still really cool, it's nice seeing cool cores release back to back. A little unsure of the Chimera one but hey
Since we know Forge let's you swap the materials of objects.
I would LOVE if fracture events altered the textures and lighting of maps.
Imagine a map like bizarre or streets, but it's all grimey blackish metal meshes and piping.
Would have been incredible to see glimpses of these "alternative" universes as temporary maps in game maps to go along with the codes
Ooh the map itself is black and white but the Spartans that fight in it are high contrast and kind of washed out colour
These armor cores honestly gave me Grimdark W40K kriegmens feels. Anyone? Like these could literally make it lore friendly for W40K
Seriously just because it's a dark setting, dieselpunk and mentions archano tech doesn't mean it's anything like 40k in fact I would say this has more in line with the universe of Iron harvest rather than 40k
It feels more like a Fallout vibe than anything else, really.
@@NCRVeteranRanger Now you mention it, fallout does fit it quite well except for its purpose built for fighting against space aliens. Also there is more trench warfare tactics involved with the armors like the mess kits and knives culture.
The lore behind these Fractured events really makes me wish for a new Halo Legends, exploring all these alternative universes... Like a "Halo Fractures" short film collection.
Some Fractured themed maps would be nice addition as well.
So... there are absolutely references to Warhammer 40K here.
- The "Ultramarine" armor coating is the most blatant, referencing in both name and appearance the Space Marine chapter of the same name.
-On the "Type-1 Defenders" pauldrons, "Death rolled a lot of dice", is likely a reference to the d6s used for games of 40K, wherein stronger attacks roll more dice.
- More of a reference to tabletop gaming culture in general, but the "grognard" shoulder pieces share their name with the slang word for someone who's been playing those types of games for a very long time.
Concepts I'd love to see used for Fractures in the future:
-A world where the Covenant incorporated humanity into their society instead of attempting to destroy us
-"Optimistic" sci-fi in the vein of Star Trek
-A blatantly magical setting
-A world where superheroes exist, in which either "Spartan" refers to just one person, or Spartans were invented by the state to replace/control supers (before the Covenant showed up and they needed all hands on deck of course).
Now this, this is some good stuff to base a story on
I certainly do like the first two ideas.
I’d like a fractured universe for the Original concepts for Chief honestly
Play with older stuff like the Sol Core
the Halo-Trek sounds great if it takes inspiration from Deep Space 9 and Voyager with the Cov as the Dominion stand-in
I would like maybe a Crossover with other Ips, like, a crossover between 40K and Halo...
I'd be really hyped if they went full-on with Gundam inspired armours. It'd be a fun game to guess where each armour takes their inspiration from - be that either the MS-18E Kämpfer, badass MSN-04 Sazabi, the iconic MS-06F Zaku II and/or it's immediate brothers, or the endless family that comes from the RGM-79 GM (pronounced Jim).
Speaking of, there's huge amounts of lore that could be looked into when it comes to the series, certainly worth a look into the Universal century and how it's technology developed from making larger Mobile Suits, into ones that were even smaller than the original.
Didn't they recently add a bunch of Gundam inspired armours into Halo 2 Anniversary? It'd certainly be hype to see them in Infinite though
Glad too see videos on the Fractire cores! Hope 343 do more with the Concept maybe through Fracture Novels or animated shorts.
I can't wait for this fracture to come back so I can finish unlocking it. Ill never wear this set on its own but as soon as 343 tosses the core system and allows us to mix and match armor I will probably get some use for this set
I wish the other Fracture universes had stories alongside them like Eaglestrike... at least done for the Tenari event.
makes me wonder what the covenant looks like in Eaglestrike, makes me think a bit of The Locust Horde style but more Diesel
Absolutely love hearing about the alternate universes of halo
So 1) you can't tell me they aren't modeling these off German WW2 armor
And 2) these are basically from the reality when humanity lost the war
I'm not complaining or anything I'm just putting it out there. These are really cool looking.
Can't wait for the audio book covering the story for this
343 should've just made these alternate universes as games rather than an actually Halo game
That would honestly be really good for them, I have heard that they feel held back by Halo being an established setting, so giving them the opportunity to do new stories might be a good opportunity.
I like the battle damaged aesthetic of this
Looks like the halo armor from fable 2, or a juggernaut from metro. Strong enclave power armor vibes.
So… are we going to ignore the style of the skyMarshall helmet being taken directly from The Rocketeer?
YAPPENING 2 EVENT HAS EAGLE STRIKE BANISHED ARMOR KIT CURRENTLY IN STORE
The Eaglestrike Armor is my favorite armor in Halo Infinite. I love the story of it and the design. It kind of reminds me of the Space Marines and the Death Korps of Krieg from Warhammer 40,000. Plus the design kind of reminds me of Steampunk or Dieselpunk or similar. So in my opinion, it's one of the best designs of Mjolnir suits.
Was literally gonna say the same thing. Another one it reminds me of is the Fallout universe with the Riot gear from NV, or the iterations of the iconic Power Armour of the series. Absolutely badass all in all.
Commander Kolby seems like a reference to Vice Admiral Cole
4:00 Reminds me of the guy in the Rocketeer comic
Your content is Amazing! Keep at it!
I wonder what the next Fracture will be! These last two have been really cool!
00 I caught that mass effect music in there lol
I like Kerberos Panzer Cop reference they made with a helmet
How does an armor variant have a more interesting story than the arena /live service?
I know you have a million things going on, but could you bring it back a long time ago and do deep dive on the armored core series?... they were the most underrated games that deserved so much more coverage... on your lore core channel of course.
I would really love to see a fractures game or even mini-campaigns of like 3 or 4 missions set in these fractures universes.
IK it aint relevant but will the mjolnir armor have a kevlar bodysuit
This is an interesting alternative universe concept love the steampunk look
Dieselpunk halo AU? SIGN ME IN!!
Would love to see a video on Yoroi too.
It’s Halo meets Fallout in today’s crossover.
I love this channel ❤️
Same
Same
So im curious in the entrenched fractures are they considered spartans and if so would they be spartan 2 or spartan 4’s
Hope is some of the most powerful armor one can don.
I would like to explore more of this fractured universe and I would like to see what the mutated covenant look like? Maybe when forge comes out someone could create a map based on this fracture universe Battlefield on earth or the moon?
ANOTHER MARVELS LORE VIDEO
BY THE LORE GOD
You should absolutely do some titanfall lore next.
The Kerberos looks like Wolfenstein armor made for the Uber Soldiers.
Was thinking that a lot
Mass Effect Andromeda on the background.
Well this will be interesting
I just noticed that Leadbelcher look like an EOD variant
Shame this armor core seems to be the most disliked one by the community. (I almost never see it used by anyone)
It's honestly my favorite, I love the old fashioned heavy and rugged look.
Nice
Honestly, it sucks we likely won't get more lore related to this universe
It's so interesting
I wish Halo loved the Eaglestrike as much as i do.
hey @Installation00 you missed the wrist utility on the eaglestrike core idk if you did that on purpouse but just wanted to let ya know
It makes me think of the doom Guy armor
I hope we get campaign DLC soon
Can you do a lore video about what happens inbetween Halo 5 and infinite???
Goddamn that Mass Effect Andromeda theme. Great choice.
Ikr it game me the chilles
One of the only things that game had going for it.
Hope we get snime fracture at some
Where are the other videos on the eaglestrike armor core pieces and paint jobs?
I always wanted that armor. But could not be bothered to grind, im not much for PvP
Do you think they will ever bring something back similar to assassinations
once halo infinite is all sorted imagine a fracture spinoff game
good job 343i you managed to create warhammer 40k
insallation00 should o a most detaile breakown of the mongoose cause he has the warthog so now he just needs the mongoose.
Your voice should be in a Halo game dude.
👍
Is it just me, or does the Sky Marshal helmet look like The Rocketeer?
Nope, because the Kerberos helmet is a straight rip from Jin-Roh.
So this universe is just mini warhammer
Hoping we get gen 2 armored cores and a actual female body for multyplayer
Would you be a narrator for a Halo audibook?
What about yorio armor
We need this alt univers game complete reboot new engine and everything
Death Corp of Krieg x halo
Mass Effect Andromeda music?
Holdup no no no the UNSC is the United Nations space corps
Dark...
Least favorite looking core but great lore.
Ugh! Nooo! I thought our standard history was bad. First time I'm thankful for truth and GM was our biggest problems
So the fracture is a mishmash of Bethesda titles?
It's cool that they implemented these armors as content. I'll be honest tho, if it's not mainline cannon, It's already lost my interest right off the bat. Not a huge fan of the design as well tbh.
600th like
Firth
I personally don’t like this armour core at all, it feels completely out of place in Halo.
Sorry 00, but not even you can make me interested in this disaster of a game and its attached lore
