Charlotte sharing your mom's words with your viewers was special. The idea that you write to parents is wonderful and a great idea. I lost my son last year (2021) and this may help with my emotions. I may give it a try. Thank you for being so positive.

Charlotte, this was the most beautiful video. I, like many others, cried with you when you read what your mom had written to you and for you. There's nothing like a mothers love. I imagine our moms together, having coffee each morning, smiling down on each of us as we're in our own homes journaling with coffee. You are such a special soul and bright light in this world. Really. You're a true gift. Never stop sharing-the world needs your sunshine. Loved this video so much.

I actually still have my journal from when I entered into my 20s. Im glad I kept them because there was a particular person I really wanted to be with and reading those entries made me thank my lucky stars that I never actually went with him. I met someone who treated me so much better and showed me what I was actually worth.

That was a beautiful video and thank you for sharing. Fifteen years ago my mom died suddenly and prematurely. It took about 7 years for me to be able to even talk about her. I would have given anything in this world for one more moment with her. I would have journaled if I knew about it back then. It probably would have helped so much-I still love the idea of writing a journal to her. I also wish I would have wrote a journal for my daughter when she was born. Thank you for pointing out its not too late! No pain we go through is ever wasted. In my religion as a Christian we believe we will see our loved ones again in Heaven. Thank you.

Oh my goodness! I cried right along with you. What a wonderful gift your mom left you. I’m in my 70’s and there is so much I wish I’d done and so many things I wished I’d kept. But I realized while watching this that it’s never too late to start writing my thoughts down.

I love that you have your mom’s journal. It’s like hearing from her from beyond. My mom died when I was 13 and a few of her friends sent me letters mom had written them, about me and what she thought about her upcoming death and leaving me. It’s very hard to digest!

Charlotte, thank you for sharing your special journals, especially the one from your Mom and the ones you write to your parents. 💕I started a journal for both of my girls when they were very young with letters to them, when they were younger just daily life stuff a few times a year and then it became more Christmas and birthdays and highlights of their year and telling them how much I love them. It has been fun to look at simple childhood stories I may have forgotten. I plan to give it to them on their wedding days.
I lost my Mom in May and I started the same journal writing to her because I didn’t get to say a final goodbye, it helps so much. So many things I think I want to tell her each day as we talked every day at least once and putting it in the journal has helped so much. We lost our dog of 16 years in May as well and I even started a little one for him just jotting down all of the sweet memories.
Keep shining your light in the world Charlotte, it is very bright!🥰

I have saved my journals thinking I may some day need to reread them for the lessons learned but never do. Some how this video gave me the permission needed to toss them. What got me journaling was hearing a lady on the radio who knew her husband was reading hers, she journaled as a way to communicate to him the hard stuff. I thought what a brilliant idea because I can chose my words carefully. Just live your videos!

Omgsh, Charlotte, your amazing😍I live in Melbourne Australia and last September in lockdown my dear 90 years old Dad went into hospital, and we couldn’t visit him, it broke my heart not seeing him ( I can’t see through my tears) and he past away in hospital, I miss him every day and it still feels unfinished because of the way it happened, I wanted to be with him when he passed😢 so I’m going out tomorrow to buy a perfect diary and tell him how sorry I am I wasn’t their😭Thank you so much for such great idea 🥰

This was so inspiring. I used to journal in high school everyday and loved it. I’d love to start that habit again. I worked at staples during university and a lady in her 90s used to come in every 6 months and buy a journal. She told me she had started when she was in her teens. She always wrote the weather and date and then chronicled her day. I always thought that was amazing.

I lost my mom as well and love how much she wrote, she and my dad wrote letters while they were dating and she also kept a detailed baby book and baby calendar. They are prized possessions and help guide me so much. I love the idea of writing a journal to her and I think I will be sure to start that practice too. 💝

Perfect perfect perfect, boy did you just hit the nail on the head. That’s exactly what a journal is- your very best friend. Will never share your thoughts or judge you. Been doing since a teen & i‘m 78. And I thought was just me, I also do NOT GO BACK N READ. But I have kept them. Don’t know y?
I do also put things in my cell.
When something jumps into my head or I hear a statement that is beneficial, poignant, beautiful or inspiring I will journal in my notes set just for that reason. I also use that for when I want so badly to fuss with something or someone to get a sense of what I’m really feeling. Most of the time it is calming. First words when I open it is. SILENCE. BREATH. andsoitis

    Charlotte
I watched this video today an found it unbelievably touching hearing about your mom’s journal.
Many times as a young mom I thought of keeping track of my sons life as a baby. Problem is that’s all I did is think procrastinating didn’t get it written.
I would advise anyone to write about your children or grandchildren the moment
    you think you should.
    Don’t put it off.
Or write about the people who
    mean the most to you.
    what a wonderful gift
Later after you’re gone. Tell them good memories not bad.
    By the way, today is
    Wednesday
    July 26, 2023 exactly
1 year after you filmed this video. What’s up with that?
Thanks for sharing your passion for journaling.

These two journaling videos are gold. I love your mom's journal for you and the journals you use to write to them. Something that was seemingly meant for me to hear was you admitting that your old entries were cringy and that you recycle your journals when they become full. Both of those things stopped my journaling years ago. I thought I wasn't supposed to write in a journal every day and then throw it away. But that was what I wanted to do. I liked using a journal to get my thoughts out of my head but they were never meant for anyone else to see. Since watching part one, I've resumed my old journaling habit and after hearing you say it's okay not to keep them, I feel free about writing whatever I need to or want to. Thanks so much, Charlotte.

If I am feeling really frustrated with someone for example my father and my relationship I will write in my journal like I’m writing them a letter. Dear dad and I will say all the things that are frustrating me and I’ve always wanted to say. At the end I feel so relieved and so much better and I never give it to them so they’re not hurt or have feelings about it but I feel that extreme relief for getting it all out.
