I’ve been working on this for the past 3 weeks or so and I’m so happy I was able to get it done in time! Two years ago I uploaded my first completed map, centered around Tigerstar and Leopardfoot. The map will always be held dear to my heart for sentiment, and so I decided to make a little something for its anniversary!
Even though stuff has happened since then, the project is still one of my proudest, and even though I haven’t branched further into my au (if that’s what you want to call it) I still love thinking about what I can do with the story that canon decided to leave out. It’s fun to expand on ideas that haven’t been expanded on in the books, and even ones that have!
I should also mention that in this PMV (and my way of telling the story in general) Pinestar and Leopardfoot are A LOT closer in age.. like… a lot to make it less weird.. just thought I would throw that out there

It's frustrating to see how forgotten Leopardfoot is in the fandom considering that she literally gave birth to Tigerstar, THE main villain of the whole series.
I wish we could have a novella about her about being in Starclan or something and witnessing her son becoming the monster that caused so much harm amongst the clan for years.

Man I feel so bad for Leopardfoot. Her mate abandons her right after she gives birth, two of her kits die shortly after they’re born, and her only surviving kit grows up to be a cat warlord who betrays his own clan and then tries to destroy it.
I *REALLY* blame the cat that teaches tiger claw/star how to kill cats and how to become evil,(I forget their name) I agree with blue star. I don’t know what her sister saw In her mate :/

Pinestar is my favorite leader, partly because I love his flaws... it was tragic how he got Leopardfoot pregnant only to abandon her for the kittypet he truly loved, and how Leopardfoot would never be able to understand this... surely the ThunderClan leader didn't fall in love with a kittypet? Their icy relationship is super interesting to me.
Do you mean Shanty? I never saw any implication that they loved each other, her and Pinestar. I might be wrong though, it’s been a while since I read Pinestars Choice.
Not sure if Pinestar loved Shanty (maybe) but he didn't abandon Leopardfoot to be with her. Shanty had died before he made the choice, and one of the reasons he left was to make Shanty's owners happy after their loss.
Sorry but Shanty died before he left to become a kittypet. He left because he was afraid of Tigerkit but he chose her owners to be his.

I’ve always loved her. She became a mother at such a young age- only to be left alone with her child, who constantly acted up. Her mate leaving her because he was anxiety-full and driven to the kittypet life. I remember her being a apprentice at the start of blue stars novel. Pine’star was, well, already pine’star. And she fell in love with him, without him really feeling true love. He was scared, and didn’t know what to feel.. she raised tiger’kit alone, only to see him become a terrible cat.
And when you think about it- tiger’star grew up in a broken family. His dad leaving him, and his mom trying her absolute best. There could have been more meaning put into this bringing up for the main series villain.
This makes me realize how ,scarily, similar LeopardFoot is to my mom

Leopardfoot is startong to grow on me as a character, and this PMV seems to highlight the things Leopardfoot had gone through in the book! Both her shaky relationship with her mate, and her terror of watching her only son grow up to be a monster. ;-; 💖✨ Also I love you made Pinestar's design more similar to Tigerstar in a way! ^^

I find it devastating how when she was giving birth to her kits she was reportedly begging to have pinestar by her side.
Her story is honestly heart breaking .

Ok. Everytime I see something like this, I'm always like "hey wow I just got into that song a week ago" or something. this happens pretty often for you guys too, you'll get into a new creator and a week later your friendly neighborhood animators have animated the song.
I have a theory: the animators are on the same wave length as you are, your subscribed to them, because your kind of into half the songs they animate, and they animate more of the same genre of songs you like wow what a mind blower.

Leopardfoot is such an underrated character. She went through so much, and yet hardly anyone talks about her. Great PMV!
Everyone always forgets about Leopardfoot, but I reread Bluestar’s Prophecy and honestly she’s a great character.
It's so cool to see content of underrated characters like Leopardfoot! The pink background is super fun and the whole video kinda gives me 50s/60s retro housewive vibes (bc of our girl here). This PMV made me realise how much pain she went through in her life - I'm interpreting the "Toss your dirty shoes in my washing machine" as Pinestar treating she/their relationship badly and taking his family for granted while not realizing how much he hurts them kinda? The song suits Leopardfoot, especially the "Why not me?" part is sad to think about but I love the way you made her irises move and how you used pictures to indicate what Pinestar is saying. I kinda wish your PMV would've included a scene with Leopardfoot and her parents/sibling or Bluefur but I know it might not be too suitable for this song. Last but not least I find the shift to creepy at the very end with Tigerpaw/claw nice and Leopardfoot looks like she's now being concerned about her son but also doesn't wanna be a bad mom by believing the others that he's "evil".

this made me think of Tigerstar in a different way. He was born a kit, a helpless kit.. but still, not an excuse for the bad he’s done, just made me rethink this! Great animation!
The Erins said that no matter what happend to TigerStar, he would still become a villan, even If his life would be better (wich I doubt), he would still become the main antagonist. So yeah, dont let those lil' eyes fool you into seeing him In a diffrent way, but I like your thinking.
@@warriorcatsamugus3 yep, although- every kit a few weeks old is born helpless! And definitely not thinking of evil. He was born a kit, and turned out to be a villain later on, the bad things in his life may or not have had a play on that- overall, tigerstars backstory most likely implied that some of the kithood trauma led up to him being a villain
So beautiful, this made me tear up. Leopardfoot is really underrated, and she should really get more love. I feel bad for her.. She went through so many things, yet people in the fandom ignore it.

Now that I think about it this is kinda like yellowfang and raggedpelt in my opinion. But raggedpelt didn’t totally abandon yellowfang but yellowfang gave birth to 3 kits only for 2 of them to die and the only surviving one grows up into a total monster. Just like Tigerstar! But, yes, this is different in some ways.

She's such an underrated character and I'm glad you made this! The video is beautiful and I love how you used the lyrics for different moments ah! It's so sad seeing Leopardfoots pain and what she had to go through. You can understand her path as a character and how she must've felt about everything. I do also sympathise alot with Pinestar though so it's heartbreaking to watch them both be miserable :')

SHE WASN’T EVEN BORN WHEN HE WAS LEADER.
Her and pinestars relationship was really gross and I can understand why it failed. He was already leader when both her parents were born and he had one life when he left her to be a kittypet. She didn't deserve the cards she got dealt in her life her first litter was a difficult birth that almost killed her and 2 of her 3 kits died, her mate left her, and her only surviving kit became a monster. I feel really bad for her.

Ok- but can we talk about how Pinestar was already leader when Leopardfoot was a kit??? The age difference is too much, and it ruined her warrior phase. She had a lot of potential and was stuck being some old guys mate, and then he leaves her. And then the whole Tigerstar thing. Her life sucked.
he was much older than leopardfoot, I remember when he was nominated by an apprentice in the super edition about bluestar. funfact: pinestar was even older than leopardfoot's parents (swiftbreeze and adderfang) and probably even a little older than her grandmother (Shinenoose)

leopardfoot's life reminds me of nightcloud: both of their kittens died and one was left, their partners didn't care about them, they were very protective of their only child, both their only child was evil in some way and they both even had the same fur color

Ok so i love the PMV and your work and effort payed off to complete this masterpeice but a question i always had is what tweening setting do you use? (for example circular in and out, back out like on cute cut
I use multiple settings in an asset! To make the fast in effect I use two transitions in one asset, it’s hard to explain lol but basically the first transition is the shortest and fastest and the second has the longest movement and goes on longer, hopefully this answers your question! Like I said it’s hard to explain

Leopardfoot and yellowfang are a bit alike, except they are also different. Half of their kits died, one lived to become a horror.
