Foxes are also naturally kinda smelly even before you take into account all the stuff you mentioned here, lol. I think all the potential Pokémon 'waifus' have something innately concerning about them, and not just because they are the Pokémon equivalent of animals 🤔
i personally don't count the starter gender ratios as cannon due it that fact starters are only mostly male because they are designed to be special and having a female one makes it easier to get more of them, so the game makes all starts have the same gender ratio just because of that. to add to this eevee and fossil pokemon have the same ratios for the same reasons. also as far as im aware the entire line has been shows as female and referred to as such in most media created by gamefreek and the pokemon company. the delphox raid was locked to being female as an example. also I'm pretty sure delphox is smart enough to not destroy stuff and set things on fire, there wand is not always lit and they generally store it in there sleeve so again fire hazard not a problem. also braixen was in the anime was shown to like being groomed and because they are related i would extend that to delphox even in the games they seem to like to washed so the earwax problem would probably be easily solved. tldr: starter gender ratios are not cannon and delphox is smart enough to have a shower.
