dis haka was from da peewees in 2005 you fwam. ask your peewee team from 2005 why we was doing the haka in the stadium. Its because we beat them. Get your story straight little man.
Where did this video originate from? It looks like the kids are about to play American Football but they can do the haka like pros. They should be very proud of themselves for such a good job, well done.
good job fullas, these kids did "Tika Tonu" justice i belive, because they got all the actions and words pronounced right!! lol but seriously as a Maori i have no problem with other cultures proforming haka so long as they are taught how it is done properly including the tikanga behind it, but it make me wonder as another proud polynesian culture (Hawaiians), wouldn't it be better in a sense to teach these kids Ha'a instead?
i'm not an expert on polynesian culture, so I can't tell if it's maori or hawaiian, but at least these kids have more god damn sense then there university level counter parts to NOT steal the ka mate or the kapa o pango.
@loopstheloop actually were from hawaii brah. we have more diversity here then most parts in the world. we hav culture from nz samoa and almost all other pacific islands. just because we practice our culture outside of where it started doesnt mean that we have none.
Come on matjennings at least they pronounced the words properly and of course us hori's do it better we created it. I love how popular haka has become makes me proud to be a Maori.
dude, we just got pow beating waianae 7-6 in this game at the stadium in our semi's and you guys lost to nanakuli in yours. lakalaka unfortunately broke his arm in that game. if lakalaka wasnt on your team you talking about another year or another team.show me a link on your google proof.
I gotta say that is the best haka I have ever seen. Well done boys.
Still get chills!
This is one of the best examples of haka on UA-cam- those kids are awesome!
you got your years crossed because we played nanakuli peewee and lost pretty bad. we beat waianae in the semi's 7-6.
Cool. My dad's a former Red Raider. He'll like this video.

this is hella tight!
This is in Hawaii, not New Zealand. Although they do say Hawaii is where the maori's came from. (That or Taiwan)
Very cool :)

yeah, it's called Tika Tonu. Said to be a plea from a father to the god's asking for guidence and support for his son who has strayed.
