      @@MakeThatChange Thank you, sorry please can enlighten more on taxes Canada insures on people because one of the things about Canada that my dad told me about even though we have not been there is that they are only entitled to just one garage even though their houses have more than one and if you are to you the second one maybe you just bought a new one and you want to pack it in the second garage you have to pay tax before you can use it. Could you please help me find out if it's true because I don't see as something reasonable for the government to insure on people.

    • @MakeThatChange
      @MakeThatChange  Рік тому +1

      Not sure this is true. What I do know is that you do pay yearly taxes on property and land. The amount of tax depends on the size and/or value of your property. So in you example, if you build a garage, this would increase the value of your property and therefore the annual tax you already pay May also increase slightly

      Because, all the stuff we read like news article, research paper or even letter, are all in formal voice. And, formal way of writing is better then informal except for informal letters and chat messaging of course.

    Insightful!! I don't think ppl should be penalized for being themselves and expressing their thoughts! Expressing your opinions should not be systematic. That's the whole point of living. This point really separates Canada from USA cause ppl express their thoughts freely and that's how we get on . Yes to a certain extent you gotta be mindful not to offend ppl but if your feeling some kind a way than blurt it out!! Canadians r too conservative and too "polite" but it has zero meaning when your being fake . Better Coconut than a Peach!

      I moved to Canada in 2019 and I have a good paying job and have already applied for citizenship. If I had listened to advice like yours, I wouldn't be in the good position I am in today.
      Not everyone will have the same experience as you, and not everyone will have the same experience as me - but the right thing to do is to manage people's expectations and advise them on how they can maximize their opportunities when they arrive instead of telling them to stay away.
