Basketball is a team game unlike how the game is today. GOATS understand the team game.

Larry had three steels during that game.He was so exciting to watch.Larry played like that all the time. We watched him get buzzer beaters on the regular. We seen him score 30, 40, and 50 multiple times with rebounds and assists steals blocks. Not only he did it but the way he did it. There will never be another Bird.❤

MJ proved that scoring alone ...does Not win games! Bird showed the world how...."Team Play" does win games! The impact Bird had on the game is undeniable. Thats why he's Larry Legend!

Sampson was '7 4" and Olajuwon was 7' the twin towers were outplayed by Bird.

By the Celtics winning this game, it calmed the fans down just enough to forgive Sampson!

I'm with you man, that's a nice triple-double, against a great team. Perhaps, Larry just had the fans and media SPOILED!
Larry was in his prime in 1986, and I think the Celtics went 50-1 at home. I guess one could say: " those fans are spoiled" 😆 🤣Great Reaction!

Larry didnt say HE wanted blood, he said the (Boston fans) wanted the blood of the Rockets, but if the Celtics lost they would want the Celtics blood--lol This game showed what many others have said, Larry wasnt the one and only goat, but what he was was the (best ALL AROUND) player the NBA had ever seen at least at that time.

JMO - I think when they said Larrys game wasnt that exceptional it was because Larry often scored in the 30 and 40 pt. range and had amazing buzzer beaters, three pointers and all that, but I think Larry did it so often they came to expect more, but dam how much more can one expect this was a helluva game on both sides but Larry was putting out 130% that night and would not be denied - I also noticed Larry even went over and shook Sampsons hand at the end of the game as if to make amends and tell him hey we both played a great game.

I lived in Houston during this time, I was a Laker fan, and we lost to the Rockets in the Conf final, Ralph Sampson and Akeem Olajuwon were dubbed the Twin Towers and they beat Magic, Worthy, and Jabbar. I couldn't stand the Celtics, so I pulled for the Rockets, but Bird was a bad@$$.
    Cool Reaction, Thanks.

Bird mostly played in third gear as if he was stuck in gear because he played hurt. He could jump a little higher or run a little bit faster in short spurts if needed.

Larry Bird and Bill Laimbeer were also ejected once for fighting, even though Laimbeer was the insitigator Larry really lost his cool and it was the only time in his entire career Larry was ever ejected from a game.

Great reactions. This is why I watch “reaction” videos. If the reactions suck, the video sucks, and the channel sucks. Your reactions were honest and spot on. I would have liked to have heard more from the quiet, respectful woman, who I know had some interesting things to say. We rarely get the views of the better sex on Bird reaction videos. It would be different from all other reaction videos. What do the ladies think? Anyway, keep up the good work. If you do a Mike Trout reaction from his prime years I could become a patreon (hint, hint). If you go as far as to do one on Christian McCaffrey, you might see how generous a retiree who has great retirement funds (that must be spent before the finish of his final chapter) can be.

Ralph Sampson is 7'4" and Hakeem Olajuwon is 7'. Bird is 6'9" or 6'10" depending on different sources.
It has also been said that Bird could not jump.
So how did Bird average more rebounds per game during his career than 7'4" Ralph Sampson
And how did Bird average more defensive rebounds per game than 7' Hakeem Olajuwon if he couldn't jump?

I believe he is the Greatest Black Basketball player of all time.
It took 30 years, but the biggest fans of Bird is the black fans.
He played basketball with confidence and never disparaging to any black player. He had a chance to roast Isiah and Isiah even admits that Bird saved a media onslaught and quenched the race issue. Oh, many other would not of done it.
Bird is a legend of Basketball and of the Black players of swag and I hear knowledgeable black fans say he is or one of their favorites of all time. Crazy how like time Bird legend gets bigger.
I also think Jordan learned how to get that edge and never give it up because of Bird.

A 7'4"" Ralph Sampson punched a 6'1" Jerry Sichting. His career was never the same after that. He spiraled into a downhill slide, mostly from in jury, but it might've also been Karma.

I don't understand WHY some content creators use photos or footage of the "Bird *character"* from a docudrama when there are plenty of photos, etc. of the *REAL Bird.* I hate that they are putting out content that blurs the lines of reality for posterity.
It's unnecessary to slip in an actor as tho it is *actually* Bird.
"There will never, ever, Ever be... another Larry Bird" 😁
