My Dad and I used to fish all the time when I get as a kid, but we rarely got to go once I started my own life. We recently bonded over you and your videos and started talking fishing again. I've now rented a house on Lake Murray here in SC and we are going fishing for a whole week. Thanks Edwin.

I absolutely love the “think outside of box” comment. I preach this exact concept to my team as much as possible in my professional life for an
approach towards solving problems. (Ironically, the words “think outside the box” were taught to me by the manager I succeeded who was also from Oklahoma even if that is how my brain normally operated)
I have quite recently gotten back into bass fishing partly influenced by watching videos like yours and Tyler reel fishing. I rarely get to fish on the ideal days or at the ideal times or under ideal conditions, but I always value my time on the water as a peaceful down time and I have ultimate confidence that if I make enough casts with a senko style bait that I’ll almost always go home without smelling that dreaded skunk. That method as largely been successful (as far as avoiding the skunk) but listening to this makes me want to rethink my bass fishing recreation time as a problem to be solved on a given day with given conditions as opposed to merely enjoying the down time.
Thanks Edwin for doing these videos.

I like the idea of the jerk shad/fluke on a wobble head. Going to have to give that a try myself. It's the out-of-the-box things like that that are a big help. Something different that they may not have seen in my area

Enjoying all the videos. This summer has been especially tough for me for some reason. I fish Lake Norman, Lake Wylie. And Lake Wateree. And you guys just finished a cup on Wylie and Wateree. So you know how tough those lakes can be. Lol. Thank you so much for suggesting these baits. I have not been throwing any of these three baits you suggested for August. Can’t wait to get back out there and try these. Thank you again.

August is for sure the dog days of summer in the South. Sam Rayburn can be tough especially if you don't have a bunch of brush piles marked on your GPS out in deeper water. I'm thinking that heavy cover jig on the edges of hydrilla near deeper water could be the ticket to get some better bites. That swing jig head is a cool idea as well. Thanks for the great ideas you provide very month. Take care!

The Ned rig and hearing you talking about floating down streams in ozarks made me get back to some roots and memories. But either on the lake, the main river channel, backs of creeks, or even small creeks the Ned rig has been a thorn in my side. When they first got hot again I used them with some success then faded away from it. Now I have to force myself to use it, get frustrated and put it down
