Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
Jimi, great videos!! I just found and started watching your videos!! Good stuff!! Been watching Jimmy Houston and Roland Martin videos and now adding you to my list too!! :)
Yamamoto 5" Senko (wacky worm rigged) all summer for small ponds here in Florida. Everytime I change it up, my hook up ratio decreases. So have to stick with what works. Great video!
I'm also a big fan of a flutter spoon when that water is warm. I fish them over submerged creek channels that have a well-defined edge and cover along either side. I'll also use a shaky head with a floating worm around humps and submerged cover. It lets me pick off some of those more finicky and hesitant fish.
Wow! That is awesome. I knew about the black n blue combo but this was totally new to me… I have tried it since I edited this video… caught some big fish! - Jimi
Nooooooo!!!!! Dude. Spilling the beans on the salt craw. My uncle worked his way through college in Springfield,MO in the 80’s and my grandmother( his mom) had a house in Shell Knob on TR. I’ve been throwing the salt craw before I even dreamed on throwing a baitcaster. Amazing bait. Looks like it’s from the eighties as well.
I've been catching one fish after another using a tiny little freedom tackle tale-spinner which perfectly mimics the size of the bait fish that I've been seeing them cough up and I even had to get more because they chewed it up until they broke it and the finish on it is completely gone. This is the first time I've ever tried using it and I don't even know why I used it other than its size being so small. But it is heavy and you could even cast it on a baitcaster if you wanted to and burn it and it will stay close to the bottom the whole time and they just smoke it. Also I've caught some really big fish in the past couple days on a swing head with a rage menace on the back and I dip the tails in chartreuse a bit. The hair jig bite has slowed down a lot but I've still caught some on it. Unfortunately drop shot has been catching the most although they're always small and that's a boring way to fish for me personally. Lastly a megabass spark shad on the balance swimbait hook by megabass in the half ounce size just reeling it along the bottom has been catching a lot of good ones for me as well. Just thought I would share what has been working for me the last week or so and I love on table rock lake which is a highland reservoir so if you live on a highland reservoir also that I'm sure it will work for you too and I'm sure it will work in other places as well.
@@BassFishingDeclassified of course! I love to share what I know and not keep it to myself. That's why I love you guys so much, it's because you share what you know and have made me a far better fisherman since I've started watching. I take what I know from you guys and I also test things out myself and my fishing level has just skyrocketed! So thank you! And I was pleasantly surprised with that tail spinner even though I was skeptical despite the fact that it matched the hatch perfectly but I'm very glad I tried it because it's been working catching one after another.
We appreciate hearing how we have helped too! The tail spinner is a little sneaky thing. I know a few older experienced anglers that keep them in the tackle box for a few times of the year when it gets tough - Jimi
Pulled up to the ramp today, truck said it was 100 , here in southeast Ga it’s some tough fishing , did manage a 5 pounder on a zoom methiolate trick worm fishing weightless . Too bad I can’t put a pic on here ☹️
Look for cover that provides shade for bass. Do not be afraid of Topwater lures such as buzzbaits / poppers depending on the cover that you are fishing - Jimi
Do you that thing is huge! I don’t doubt you, though… It took me a long time to realize fish will bite things way larger than them you know “fisheye lens“? They probably can’t really get it how big it is. They definitely don’t think either… you are presenting and invoking an instinctual reaction. Remember that it means a lot more you’re not playing a puppet for the fish trying to convince them of anything.
Yes sir! This can depend on the forage in the lake and the size. I am throwing it in lakes with big gizzard shad and also our lakes have a lot of crappie…. So trying to match the hatch for the bigs! 🤙🏽 - Jimi
THAT'S NOT A FLUTTER SPOON! That is a serving dish. My burrito would fit perfectly on that.
I just literally laughed out loud! Good stuff- Jimi

My son and I put 12 in the boat this morning. KVD dream shot morning dawn color was killing it. Much like Miles was saying.
Nice! Sounds like a good morning of catching - Jimi

Nice! For the senko what size hook are you using?
@BassFishingDeclassified Been using a 2/0 EWG Gamakatsu hook for large mouth. Works well.
Nice! Thanks for sharing.
I've had great success with the spro redear popping frog this year, specially around bluegill beds.
Heck yeah! - Jimi

Nice! I can see it catching some big fish for you for sure! I had a trip recently where a client of mine caught some bigs with the shakey head! - Jimi
That spro rainforest yellow will smack em too 😬 Great video. Probably going to play around with the frog tomorrow 🤘
Nice! I will call tomorrow to get a report 😬 - Jimi
Been using salt craws to night fish with since the 80’s! Black blue pinchers work well too!

All good juice as usual. Congrats on your win Matt.
Appreciate it!

@@BassFishingDeclassified I'm going to keep trying my big spoon. You got me interested in tying it on again.
It is a timely bait for sure. It has been my big fish bait for sure this summer! I have had a blast with it - Jimi
