    We bought this one (2023) and love it. We're empty nesters not yet retired looking for something for weekend camping but will eventually take on longer trips. Solidly built. We do not cook on the griddle on the rack. We purchased a small foldable lightweight table and cooked with our griddle on it. We didn't like having it too close to the camper. Storage is somewhat limited but with just the two of us we're traveling light. 😊

    Very nice little unit. Good amount of storage. Uplifting color pallette.
    PS. The microwave sticker said "Convection"

    Honestly almost perfect. A few little things I'd change but I love the floorplan and the fact there's tons of room for extra solar panels up top!

    If they did something like this with a pop top rooftop tent this would be a perfect weekender for families with a couple small kids.

    Good small first RV for seeing if you like the lifestyle. I've always been saying my next car has to have a bathroom. This would be a decent alternative!

    We bought this model new in July 2022 and it is a pretty solid unit. The biggest negative in our view is the lack of interior storage. Specifically not enough pantry or pots/pans storage. It is fine for up to a long weekend for 2, but if we camped a lot more, it would be maddening.
    On our "Shakedown Cruise" (Jay Ferguson reference) we encountered a few issues with QC from the factory. First was that the wall-mounted TV would "weird out" randomly or if the bathroom door bumped the corner of it. The picture would just start flashing on and off with squiggly lines. The repair/correction was simple: the wiring harness coming from the wall had been pulled too tight at the factory. I simply tugged on it enough to give it an inch of play and we haven't seen that issue since.
    The second issue was a water leak. The indication of the problem was that the pump started to run for short bursts when no water was being used. A quick walk around the exterior revealed water dripping just behind the driver's side wheel well. This one had to be fixed immediately, so I removed the full-length panel across the bottom of the slide-out, located the connection that was leaking, and secured it properly. We cleaned up the water from inside and then from beneath. We've had no problem since.
    The only other issue to report was encountered during winterization. After draining the system, I could not get the water filter housing to budge. Of course, it's in a tight spot and mounted to flimsy "wood." The final cure was a short proximity blast of the propane torch around the seal area (the flame never touched the plastic and I didn't linger) just warmed it up a bit and it was free.
    Since I needed to PROPERLY SEAL that joke of an antenna and "router," I took the opportunity to replace the router with a Mikrotik HAP AC2 which I setup in similar fashion as the "WiFiRanger" was. It looks for available WiFi and you choose from your laptop (or whatever device you use to connect to it) which SSID to connect to. When we dry camp I use the hotspot on my cell phone as the source and the HAP repeats it so that all other devices can use it, thereby saving mobile data on the other devices (mine is unlimited, others are not). I also ran some data patch cords up from within the cabinet space in order to control the Mikrotik as well as provide a hard-wired connection for surfing if needed.
    Other than that, the only other upgrades were a rear hitch/lights for the kayak trailer and interior spiffing that the wife has done.
    All in all, I think we will go for a larger unit with a front kitchen next time and be sure there is LOTS of storage.

    Like this one way more than the compact-off-road-toy-hauler from last week. Good use of space here. The murphy bed is the hero here, freeing up a ton of useable space. The bathroom is generously sized for the size of the unit as well, good solar, plus it's towable with a wide range of vehicles. The microwave is indeed convection BTW, there's a convection button on it.

    They make a little toy hauler version of this that looks kind of cool, 19FBTH I believe.

    I'd caution against using the griddle (ours came with one in addition to little hanging table) on that rail on side unless you want to scrub grease off trailer. We picked up an ultra lightweight collapsible table to set grill on which was ideal (we did need to get the longer propane supply line for the quick connect)

  • @Swift2120
    @Swift2120 5 місяців тому

    It's a 200 watt panel for the solar and that box underneath in the pass through storage is the included outside griddle

    Imagine a Murphy bed that folded down over a dinette, and a fold out couch where the dinette is with a drop down bunk over the couch like some of the bunkhouses have. You could sleep four in this thing.

  • @dwhoel
    @dwhoel Рік тому +2

    A lot of reviewers call that a recliner couch. It is not. It is a couch with pop up foot rests. Pretty cool, but not a recliner.

    We have a 2022 Geo Pro G20BHS and I can tell you it's awesome. Easily towed it through Rocky Mountains this summer with a 2021 Dodge Durango with tow package and nice WDH. I will say that it would've been nice to have had a slightly larger tow vehicle for going through Kansas and eastern Colorado due to winds, but the WDH has the sway control. Definitely wouldn't recommend trying it without a WDH with integrated sway control if you have mid sized SUV. Otherwise, it has been a breeze. Very nice quality. However, the MSRP has went WAY up. They are completely loaded for where they fall in the market.

    I don’t think that is a reclining sofa. It just has the fold out foot rests, the back doesn’t recline.

    Geo Pro is my favorite small trailer. I like the 20 FB floor plan. The 2023’s have a thermostat wall control for the AC and a 2” receiver on the back. Their reputation for quality is very good at a fair price.

    Love your videos! Thanks for showing this one! I've been looking into this model, but think I'd perfer the 19FD, VERY similar but w/o the Slide! It might have already been noted, but a couple of corrections: the couch is NOT a Recliner And the Microwave IS Convection!😃👍. I wish manufacturers would put Convection MWs in all models that don't have an Oven!😮 Thanks for reviewing this model, would be Great if you could review the 19FD, as well and maybe even do a "Comparison" Video of the two! 😁

Has a nice size bathroom. Can you stay in this GeoPro full time? If so it has everything in that I would need in it. I hope that you're healing up an recovering just find . Very nice and well thought out RV. ...and at that GVWR, within the towing capacity of my Explorer. Only real question would be the price, since the MSRPs on all RVs seem to be more inflated than a hot air balloon.

      They are nothing but a dirt/water shovel for your interior, and a PITA at a rest or truck stop when someone parks next to you. I have the old school style with a stabilizer underneath them and they are rock solid

      @@Erin-Thor yea, when I’m traveling I don’t bother putting the steps out to get into the trailer, I just jump in, the step above steps have to be moved out of the way every time you want to enter the rig, also the legs constantly have to be adjusted for height with variances in the ground. I much prefer the more convenient fold out type steps I have owned a couple rigs with both types of steps and the fold out type are much more convenient for me

    The smaller windows is probably because of the off-road feature. Less chance of breaking. Just a thought.

      Before you take that thing "off road" check the placement of the sewer drains. That's a dead giveaway. I'm not slamming this trailer. It looks like it has a decent amount of features for the price. But anytime I see a giant sewer pipe hanging several inches down, behind the axle, I know it isn't meant to go off road. At all. Period.

    Rockwood/Flagstaff ARE NOT 4 season capable. They are NOT semi off road capable!
    Living in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, stay away from Rockwood/Flagstaff Geo/E-Pro if going on even the best of smooth dirt roads.
    They are awesome ONLY in less than freezing temperatures, non slide-out units and used only on smooth paved roads.
    The best value and proper engineered unit is the 19FD floor plan.
    The slide-out floor plans cause the horrible Dexter torsion axles to sag on the slide-out side. Thus stay away from the slide outs!

    • @roadtripwarriors7458
      @roadtripwarriors7458 Рік тому +1

      You are correct about the axles on these units with slides. This exact issue is detailed on a similar unit the 20BHS in this video: ua-cam.com/video/_VwM5NpEF_w/v-deo.html. I love Geo Pros but I would not buy one with a slide. If you have an axle problem, it can't be fixed, only replaced.
