Watch the BBC first on iPlayer 👉 bbc.in/iPlayer-Home Nadiya Hussain shares her favourite biscuits and bites to snack on at any time of the day. Nadiya believes that a homemade biscuit is one of life’s greatest pleasures, so she kicks off with her deceptively simple but extremely beautiful Italian-inspired amaretti biscuits. They are so easy to make and the perfect treat to have with a cup of tea. Next, Nadiya breaks all the rules with her insanely wicked but ridiculously tasty chicken doughnuts, deep fried for the ultimate crunchy exterior and topped with a spicy savoury dust. Who says doughnuts have to be sweet?
Also on the menu is a colourful tray bake, laced with ginger and turmeric for the perfect bite-sized pick me up. Finally, Nadiya shares her recipe for her chocolate-dipped florentines. Biscuit meets brandy snap - these little delights are elegant, simple and moreish.

All Nadiya's outfits are so on point! So classy and just so nice. She should release a clothing line.
I agree, the colours are always so rich and deep,,,, I'm a guy and I'd love to have some shirts in nadiya's colours
Her sincerity makes a pure chef, which many are often lack of.
You're telling me it has been four days and nobody on the BBC UA-cam channel has noticed that CHICKEN is spelled CHICHEN
It has now been a week
2 weeks
It also says donut, not doughnut 🍩😭

In Pakistan, chicken donuts are baked and as topping it usually has cheese and bruinoise cut peppers plus tomatoes.

So I’m Jewish and Hanukkah is around the corner and we eat sufganiya for Hanukkah. But they’re usually sweet.
I am currently debating if this can be considered Hanukkah sacrilege or not..
It looks delicious though!
Great thing to make (fried or not) and freeze for an easy pull out and oven heat meal.
So, did you make it for Hanuka?🤤
I tried this recipe and I have to say it was absolutely delicious.
your innovation on bake off was great but this is excellence! I wanna try it one day
i need the for the food network to give Nadiya her own show!!!!!!!! IJS
I wanna be friends with Nadiya ❤️
Nadia is one of best cooks I have come across in a long time, love her attitude and funky ways, just off to try these but will do in oven so prob more
Ike buns but wondering how long to cook in oven for ? Ps her spicy pretzels are delicious and. A big favourite in this house !
Nadiya I really enjoy watching your videos!! I’m glad to see your back! Happy New Year 2021 😊♥️
Good idea: Easy to make and looks delicious. I will try it.
Thanks Nadiya
Awesome and I love her (?) kitchen!!
they look soooo good.
Her kitchen is amazing and that view … dream
I'm here for chichen the new mysterious ingredient.
lol
This is why i love her 😍
Love your style lady and the recipe is perfect. This is from a doughnut addict!!
omg I'm Bangladeshi too and she makes so freaking proud i lovee her
I bet these would be amazing with with Cheeze too. Or maybe a Cheeze Stake filling. Possibly a Vedgable version even. I don't eat it personally, but pulled Porq could work as well.
Nadia is absolutely brilliant and lovely 😊
“I’m making a cheeky little savory dust”. A sentence you would never hear from someone in the states. I love listening to her talk!
Wow! That crunchy sound made my mouth water. Those are beautiful. If there are any left over, what is the best way to store them and for how long? Thank you. 😊
I've made similar with biscuit dough. You can freeze them, wrapped in plastic wrap or foil, then simply reheat in a low heat oven (300°F/150°C) for about 20 minutes.
Tried this recipe the other day, it was delicious, I'm going to try it with lamb next time.
At first I thought " What the hell is Chichen? Is it one of those middle eastern or Russian cuisine? " . Curiously I clicked the video and I fell in love with this recipe.

Nadiya, you are great. I love you so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️
The view on that garden!!!
Also, it looked like fried chicken bun. East Asian cuisine.
She is awesome id watch her all day and she is funny to
I feel like she could be my bestie even though we’d have nothing in common besides a love of cooking and baking.
Mi mejor chef soy su fiel admiradora
Wow you nailed it babe, you are my favourite Nadia May Allah bless you always dear
Nadiy bless u
The chicken to bread ratio was off
I thought that too but wondered if I was the only one!
Thats her preference ofcourse, you can adjust the ratio how ever you want it
@@s0neskim true

👌👌👌
Looking very nice and tasty
Sending love from Bangladesh 💖
That is never away from you, it is you away from it lol.
Even though all of the measurements are proper and I’ll have to convert a lil bit... this is my new favorite cooking show.
I love this recipe. I am vegan so i would do this recipe using savory lentils peas. but i would bake them instead. They also lovely that way too
Thanks Nadia for this lovely recipe.
You can mimic the chicken with jackfruit too
@@Kaastengels portobello mushrooms would work great as well....
this look soo good
Is there written recipes or just the videos?
Please tell me can we bake it?
I love your energy; you made me want to try this.
Does anyone know if these doughnuts could be frozen before frying?
Are these in one of her recipe books?
OH MY! Move over Chicken and Waffles!
This looks like Chinese Pork Buns elevated and FRIED!
I would love me some chichen.
This can be done with premade biscuit (savoury scone) dough, and if one wants to bake them, just brush with olive oil or Vegan butter or margarine for a similar outer crust. I've filled mine variously with Vegan faux meats done like this, or Italian style. If one uses premade fillings as well, this can be an amazingly quick, hearty meal, or done smaller, appetizers.
In addition to the deep-frying safety tip, "Drop it away from you," I think these additional instructions probably could have fit in the video:
- how to make sure the oil is heated up enough that the doughnuts don't absorb a bunch before starting to cook
- despite any fat or oil being viable choices, some are easier to use and these tend to be the lighter-weight ones
I wondered that myself. Different items cook at different temperatures.
Reason is because in our countries in South Asia.....we don't use oil thermometers. We don't let deep frying things absorb oil. How and why is because we use our senses and learn by doing. We always deep fry and we know how to do that well without knowing the temperature
'Cheech-en ' okay BBC
YEP I was wicked excited over this tooooo✨😤
Looks yummy!
Chechen doughnut?
Looks yummy! How about carnitas an cheese. Oh perfect do some curry or tandoori chicken, please. I had a place I always went to an I moved, havnt been able to find any to match. We visited back an found out they were closed because of some very unfortunate reasons. I miss my tandoori chicken sandwiches. Please help!
Those look GOOD AS HELL. How did she know for sure the chicken would be cooked?? I would've felt like id never know
They were stuffed with already cooked chicken
This have a feel of 'pau berinti' hehe. But in my country we steamed them..
Pau goreng
@@wildone293 yeah lol
These Chechnyan dough - naughts sure do look delicious!
Amazing super duper wao
I can't believe this exists
That dough looks really tasty. But i cant imagine having doughnut with savoury/ chicken
You can do this with biscuit dough as well. I've made stuffed biscuits over the years, and they're great. I normally bake mine, but I do brush with olive oil or Vegan butter or margarine for the fried effect. Using a store bought dough makes it a lot easier, you can also use any premade filling of your choice. I've done Vegan barbecue faux beef crumbles, but I've got some new "No Evil" faux chicken strips which I think I'll use tonight, with her seasonings.
When tasting them I think you would understand.
In Japan, we have a curry bread that’s basically a doughnut filled with a pork curry and coated in bread crumbs. Savoury doughnuts are a real treat.
Think of it like a steamed bun.
It's like a dumpling
Thank you it was so nice👌
This looks delicious and I would love to try it. How do I get the actual ingredient amounts written with instructions, if there’s a way?
Pen and paper?
Possibly on the bbc website itself.
🤤
Love it!!! Love it more when you said about Bangladeshis don't want a meal want to snack 😄😄 totally... I am definitely going to try it. I made similar one before though 😃
