Once the little ones are able to start jumping out of the box, turn it on its side so they can come and go as the please. Also gives the mother somewhere to rest from her babies, but she can still keep an eye on them.

the nest box is very nice, at night don't you put a light to keep it warm?

No need for a light. The body heat from the babies and the insulation of the straw will keep them plenty warm.
