I’m old. When I was young my dad raised rabbits for food and then for show. Wanting to help my dad I would clean the hutches an remove the piles of “turds” Mom taught me much about gardening. Rabbit manure was a fantastic fertilizer. I frequently sowed leaf lettuce and spinach directly on to of the manure pile. Best ever harvest. What was the material he used inside the nesting holes? I would like to adopt that method into my cage. Thank you in advance.
I’m not sure what you are asking about. The nesting box was built into the cage with the wire. He just had like a piece of cardboard on the bottom and the rest was fur from the momma rabbit.
His Way Homestead Thank you. I knew it was a built in under nest box and fur from the mother rabbit. The cardboard was what I was looking for. Thank you for taking your time to reply.
An email said that he uses a thin piece of plywood in the bottom.
where do you sale your rabbits? We can NOT find a place in Georgia to sale meat rabbits? What do you recommend?
Hey Beth, we just visited Ance at his Rabbitry. If you look in the description for the video you will find his Facebook page link and you can contact him that way.
@@HisWayHomestead we are looking at meat rabbits. In south Georgia about 2 hours from Macon or Savannah there is no rabbit meat buyer in Georgia that we can find. Can commercial meat rabbits be shipped over state lines? Is there a buyer or a contact that might help us. We would like to sale say 500 at a time,
I don’t have any idea Beth. We only raise rabbits for our own use. See the contact information in the description for this video for Ance. He might be able to point you in the right direction.
is there any plans for those cages? Plans that we can use to build our own? Those are sweet cages!!
Check out our rabbit playlist, there is a video where I show all the measurements of the cages
@@HisWayHomestead thank you so much for the quick reply. Appreciate it very much. Will head that way now.
@@didiamund903 thank you for watching!!! let me know how you make out building the cages!
@@HisWayHomestead you are more than welcome but I can't seem to find the specific one you were talking about. I am looking but not seeing anything with how to build the cages with the slanted top and the drop nesting boxes. (sorry maybe I am looking too hard and missed it - which one is it please?)

How do we contact this person to purchase rabbits?
He is no longer in the rabbit business. Where are you located?
What rabbit feed was that?
I'm not sure... we use Ware Rabbit feed that has 18% protein
I live in Grimsley, Tennessee. Do you know where I can buy some New Zealand A&M Tamuk Rabbits inTennessee ?
We might have some. How many are you looking for?
New subscriber, we are in Michigan and rasie New Zealand and California meat rabbits. I would love to learn how to bc a commercial meat rabbit breeder. Thank you for sharing. Till next time. God Bless
Thanks for subscribing! We visited this breeder. He has since gone out of the rabbit business.

@@tonykelly2331 thanks!
Did Ance get out of the rabbit business? I am having a hard time finding pure tamuks!
I think he did. Have you contacted Texas A&M?
@@HisWayHomestead No, I have not. I will do that though. Thank you.
I'm also setting up a similar watering system, but I want different cages before I set it up.
I was reading into AI last night, I think I'm going to go that route as well due to my Does not wanting to breed alot
I’m glad this has helped! I have another video explaining the waterer better.
very nice tour. Thank you. p.s. I'm sure ACE would love their shopping cart back :)
Thanks Tom!
