Xiaoyu is one thing she's harder to execute than most players will ever tell you(Believe me I'm trying to learn Xiaoyu & its atrocious) Nina and Feng is an entirely different story since they take a lot less to pull off.
@@vapersmith7859 Oh I see, thanks for clarifying! I'm still pretty new and see a lot of players complain about Ling so I assumed she was more popular lol
@@kojimbo2931 Xiaoyu is popular with some of the hard core players though in Tournament the difficulty of her execution makes her FAR less popular than easier to execute characters like Dragunov, Alisa & others.
I dont think that the tekken community does not not know who is strong or not but rather there is a specific trend of characters being played at the top compared to the lower half, it seems that people are not playing technical or high execution characters as much example Xiayou, Nina and Feng. All 3 of them require good execution particularly nina to do the best of their damage. If we actually take this chart and order by most difficult combos or execution you'd see a trend here. I suspected this at the beginning of tekken. Good Video by the way
Claudio, Shaheen, Kuma, leroy??...that's 4 heavy hitters right there.....but not to mention bryan is top 5 and is considered one of the most technical If NOT...The most technical....while I want to agree with u...that's just not the case here
I love shaheen & raven. They’re my mains in this game but they’re never gonna be high in popularity usage rates. Like ever. Raven is too unorthodox for any new player to pick him up And while shaheen is fairly straightforward to understand & he is pretty strong but he’s not gonna carry nobody. I always say he’s mainly strong b/c of his heat system. His heat is what’s crazy since when he’s in heat he can 50/50 vortex you. Not necessarily his general kit All those players who pocketed shaheen didn’t get carried by him. They just picked him b/c his ground game is solid & b/c his heat flowchart is strong. But imo he isn’t a character that’s suited to be a pocket character b/c to get the most out of him you have to fully optimize him. Since you have to hard read everything w him
@versatilelord8893 I wouldn't necessarily say shaheen is a hard read character....his whole tool-kit is like a mini bryan..."am I gonna finish the the string that's a safe CH Launcher or heat engages or am I gonna cancel into stealth and mix you up"...strings like DB,2,1 Heat engage or stealth stance...FC, DF,4,1 safe Homing counter hit launcher, or cancel into stealth...only weakness I would say for shaheen is his DMG....the opponent can guess 4 to 7 times against shaheen...but against dragonuv or nina u can only get hit twice most of the time....but everything else you just said is spot on
@@GoSpawn_ by hard read everything I mean on defense. His punch parry is not enough imo It’s hard to deal with certain characters without a solid reversal or some kind of evasion or movement stance cuz you’ll be blocking & guessing too much a lot of the time He does have one of the best armor moves in the game. Probably a top 5 armor move but they be beat by jabs, throws & lows so eh. But it is amazing tho im not gonna lie
@@versatilelord8893 yeaa...I'm starting to think characters with mid armor moves, that heat engages will eventually become the meta....like raven has a homing, Mid, half screen reaching, heat engaging power crush....t8 is about aggression but being able to make the opponent hesitate in attacking in a game of rush down is a huge feat...which 1 reason I think raven is VERY!!!....slept on

@@Lay_rue442 Feng is decent at everything and his damage in certain situations is good, but thats about it.
