Honestly, they probably know that, and it's why the food stays so meh. People will visit anyway, so there's no 'point' for them to invest more in the consumer attraction side of things.
I mean he's not 100% wrong. Japanese food is good but not that good that'd make your tongue go to heaven. Most of their food is very aesthetic heavy with "just alright" taste

Like the Michelin stars iirc are handed by the French and not trying to act like the guy who knows everything but from what I heard and see a lot of their food is also kinda weak. But even if I'm wrong about the French, I'm still right with the Japanese, which is aesthetic over taste. I've had a lot of their food and even some of my childhood food are Japanese food but if I'm going to be honest it's just not a lot going on with their food. I mean if you like it then good for you, but definitely not the best in the world for me

My childhood memories when I was in Elementary school me & the kids @ lunch we have bring our pokemon cards while having lunch we was having fun , I used to have the picchu socks. Those are my favorite childhood memories

I went here 4 years ago. Super cute and u are right, you must book in advance. Lucky for us we saved our appetite. Whatever we sampled from our son's plate tasted simple/basic/blah. The spread was adorable though. We ended up going down the street and I was glad I was hungry to eat at the Gyu Katso restaurant (which was on our to-do list) nearby. My fav meal in Japan!
I liked the macaroni on that plate. It was still nice and warm. The omelet was alright. The gengar smoothie though was amazing and I'm not huge on grape flavoring. But it was good. I got the glass with it though.
FYI if your a dummy like me and don’t book ahead of time feel free to ask if there are any seats available later on in the day as they might not be booked out! Ofc it’s better to book in advanced but it never hurts to ask as I was able to get in by booking a reservation the day of (not preferred time but still an amazing experience)
Come to england to go to hello kitty cafe in briton but you have to book a table i reccomed to order two weeks before the day you want to go on. Hope this helps
The Pokemon Centre itself thats connected to the cafe currently has the MyPIKACHU event running. If you buy a specific custom pikachu plush during the event, you get a code for your corresponding pikachu in Scarlet/Violet with a unique move at lvl25
I got in without a reservation. You just have to go in a couple hours before they open and wait on the line on the side of the reservation chart. A lot of people cancel or don’t show up the day of so they start letting in walk-in for those time slots.
Every time I see a video about one of these anime pop-up cafes, everyone almost always says that the food is terrible, but that the aesthetic and experience were fun. For the price, the food should at least be decent, though!
Yeah the fact that you could pick up the omelette like that tipped me off lmao, every themed place I've ever been to has done amazing drinks but the worst food 😭
