That's definitely an underestimate of the cool and unique stuff in America, but Japan for sure has an exceptional amount of really unique hole in the wall type places like this. I think part of it is that since japan is so relatively small, a bunch of wacky places like this are easily accessable. Most of the unique and wacky places I know in america are states apart or in places that aren't frequently travelled to, so not many people even know they exist.

That's definitely an underestimate of the cool and unique stuff in America, but Japan for sure has an exceptional amount of really unique hole in the wall type places like this. I think part of it is that since japan is so relatively small, a bunch of wacky places like this are easily accessable. Most of the unique and wacky places I know in america are states apart or in places that aren't frequently travelled to, so not many people even know they exist.
I think that's what everybody thinks about his own country. Then foreigners come up to you and tell you about some crazy shit that is in your place but you never knew xD

Actually Gyaru which is Japanese for "gal" was based around the Japanese's mental imagine of what a California Girl (caucasian) looked like. That's where the entire look came from.
