I don't understand why people don't like Craig in Escape the fate. It might be non-metal but it has meaning which is why I love this band. If people want Ronnie back, they should listen to Falling In Reverse and stop hating on Craig.

None of you are disappointed with this album? Really? This is not what I want from Craig at all! Hate this nu metal feel so much! I'll always love eft and fir and craig and ronnie no matter what they do but this album has not left me satisfied at all.....
+Briannah Burden I was at first listen but that was because I was not expecting what I got at all. The more it sinks in, the more I love it. Even at first though when I didn't think I enjoyed it, I knew right from the start that I respect the hell outta them for making this album and trying something different. I loved Ungrateful but watching interviews with them after the Money's left, they were not happy with it. They all felt as if they weren't progressing as musicians but instead taking a side step to do the same thing they did with the previous two albums.
This is very much a direction for the band instead of staying complacent and I appreciate that as a musician myself and a consumer. I don't like bands to stay stagnant in their writing process. I want them to push themselves to something different and hopefully better.
I think this sound, the lyrics, the composition, and everything about this album is more mature. Good on them for that.
I also think from a marketing/business perspective, this is their best shot at really hitting the mainstream radio rock scene that they've been poking their head into for a while. Instead of being the odd one out on tours with Pop Evil, Skillet, Seether etc. they will be able to fit in and appeal to those audiences a little bit better. That being said though, I don't at all feel that this approach is selling out or compromising themselves and the creative process for monetary gain. I get the sense that this stylistic change was incredibly genuine and just so happens to have the possibility for a slight increase in mainstream success.
To add to that, I also don't think they are entirely alienating their alternative "warped tour" scene either. They still have enough of those elements that that section of the audience can be satisfied as well.
I still want to give the album some time to sink in a bit more, but as I said, the more I think about it the more I enjoy and respect this album tremendously.
PS, the riff at the end of "Alive" is just fucking killer lol - I can't help but stomp to it

Seriously. I've been listening to ETF since 2007. Been my favourite band since then and still are. I fucking love everything they have done and continue to love the things they do. This album turned out absolutely fantastic and I've been excited about it since you started production. And holy FUCK did it turn out well.
