Who else was watching Bubbie hitting bombs in the background
Shitty form and being an amateur. Ya
Bubbie has to be the most likable guy in the group.
@@Jimdaewong16 Micah definitely a top contender for that title
Yup
@@Jimdaewong16 i think its matt tbh
I dont know why but these range videos are so therapeutic
Legit. Even when Garrett's game isn't good, his swing is so buttery and pleasing to watch. Even if the finer details aren't sorted out yet. Guys like Tiger and Rory have similarly buttery swings and pleasing to watch. Freddy couples, Louis Oostheisen. Etc. So fun to watch and seeing Garrett improve is awesome.
Fax
Try it yourself it’s even better than a video
I like how bubby is just doing random thing in the back
Garret: I’m gonna start and hit some 60 degrees. I won’t be swinging full yet.
Bubbie right behind him: Smashing drivers
Man that swing is smooth
Garret: *calmly talking through his bag*
Bubbie in the background: *stomping around searching the ground for his tee*
Theory: when those guys from Florida gave you the tip of raising your club and having more separation from your body at the top of your swing, you ended up bringing it straight up and not up and back to get the depth. Which gave you where you are now with being so upright and over the line at the top. It already looks better though. It looks like the club is still wrapping around you a lot at the top, but your hands are definitely further back and you have the club head speed to pull it through quickly and still keep it shallow. Loving the progress. Looking forward to more updates!
That’s what i was thinking. They told him to get more trail arm depth and Garrett separated his elbows too much which brought the club across the line. Just an overcompensation
Yeah I've been through a similar change and this process is normal. I am getting there now though with way more speed and power.
That was great. I could watch range sessions forever. The progression of the swing, of anyone's swing really, is so subtle and awesome.
Garrett: Working on getting on the tour
Micah: Working on getting into long-drive
Matt: Couples channel/fan Fridays
Stephen: Challenges/trying new products
Ya love to see it. Variety at its finest.
You forgot good good, where they all compete against each other. This group bring the best content to golf on UA-cam by far.
Me: opens up video
Garrett: auhhhhhh
Found your channel about two months ago and it has been awesome watching your old content and see you come out with new content. Thank you for your videos it has inspired me to finally invest in my clubs by getting a proper fitting and work on my swing a lot as of late. Watching you work on your swing has helped me work on mine even as a lefty. Thank you!
For a quick diagnosis of your ball flight when you're on the course, just remember that the line the ball starts on is 100% controlled by the face of the club. Wherever it is pointing at impact is the start line for your ball.
The spin is the difference between your swing path and your face angle. If you swing 2* right and your face is 2* open, the difference is 0* and you will hit a ball perfectly straight along the start line (which is where the face was pointing). If you're swinging 2* right and have the face perfectly square to the target line, the difference is 2* and it will start down the target line and draw to the left. This might be what you're experiencing as over draw. Your face is actually too closed to your swing path.
For a push draw, you need the face to be open relative to the target line to start right, but closed relative to your swing path to draw left.
EDIT: This is assuming a flat lie/swing. If your club is toe up or down at impact, the loft will be pointing off the target line. So a square face and 0* swing path with a toe up strike will point the loft left and affect the start line.
Fantastic explanation, I feel like there are so many misconceptions about hitting draws/fades that could be solved by that one sentence: "The spin is the difference between your swing path and your face angle."
Not gonna lie that is a exact copy of my local pro’s explanation. Hella much cheaper seeing it here on youtube😬
love the talk-through while taking swings. The self-analysis out loud and everything.
when I used to play golf all the time before I had my handicap down to about a 3. I would basically do the same process and it helped out tremendously. Now I'm a little older and don't get to play as much but love watching all the videos you guys make. Keep up the good work and looking forward to another great year. Happy New Year!!!
This is by far the best you’ve ever been turning through the ball. Love the videos. Good work
Was low-key focused on Bubbie hitting bombs
I can relate.... feels and reals are a trip especially when you hit a few good ones and you look at it and you are still “not where you think you should be”.
Keep up the hard work you will get dialed in before you know it.
Wish I still had time for a range session everyday.
Love the content and the drive for self improvement. Watching your videos got me back into golfing, keep it up and keep grinding. ✊🏼
Big stan of these videos, keep up the grind!
I made a new years resolution to work on my golf game everyday and watching these videos help me learn a lot about my game because my swing is very steep.
Great work brother! Keep getting better everyday! Love the ball flight coming off the club. I live in New York so my golfing season is slow, but love watching all your videos. Keep em coming.
Most serious video I’ve watched sor far, most fun video as well. I believe in you!You motivate me to improve my golf. Keep up the good work. Cheers!
Love the video and seeing you get so amped up about improving through change. I've had many lessons over the years, but never with a top 100 coach. What helps me on changes is slowing things down, especially on the back swing, until I can see and feel the consistency. Keep up the great work...look forward to seeing you on TV on the weekends!
This range session saved my life thank you. Snowed in here, all courses and ranges have been closed for miles around, snuck out on local course and topped a drive off the snowy tee box just to survive. Who's addicted? Not me.
I love how I can see the ball in the air! Also, your voice on the vod is pure
Challenge videos are fine from time to time but I really love watching progress/improvement golf videos and want to see your game go to a different level. I have been loving this change of pace with videos!
Started golfing this summer, and these videos are great. Keep working man! Love seeing the progress
Love these kind of videos from you. So inspiring to see you work on improvements similar to the ones many of us struggle with each week
Really enjoyed it! You have some really good friends and surrounded by great golf maniacs!
Great video. Cool to see because I just took my first lessons today and this is the exact feedback the instructor gave me. Getting at or under the ‘plane’ on your upswing, and getting around and through the ball. My divots were going to the left as well, but correcting my downswing fixed that
Garret, your dedication to getting better has inspired me. I have been stuck at around 105, and just came to terms with being out there to have fun. Now I want to get some lessons and get to the range a bunch. Thank you!
These range session videos are so calming. And I can pick up a thing or two to help out my swing cause I’m dealing with similar issues in my swing rn
I like these types of videos wayyyyyy more than the mess around ones. Keep grinding bro
Been having the same problem so this is really helping! Love to see you working on becoming better
As someone starting to golf more seriously (not quite were yalls group is at) these videos of you actively seeking improvement is great!
Watching these videos helps me a lot thx G
I’m loving these videos!!
I love that you are doing this, I have very similar digits to what you used to have, down and to the left, and even before you started I have been trying to stop coming over the top and hit a little draw
The swing is looking prime! I love to see this! What you are trying to fix is exactly what I need to fix so this is so helpful!! Keep it up
Been golfing 6 months and this sort of stuff is good to watch 💪🏼
I truly appreciate you showing us that you are taking it more serious, it motivates me to be better and its gonna be crazy to see how good you get.
Garret, thank you for walking us all through this. I cant wait to get back to the range to see if this works for me (I have the same divot marks that you were describing) Love the series! Keep it up!
Love your attitude Garrett. Stay positive and open minded to your lessons. 👍
Bryson is on to something with those thicker grips, and also his tip for pointing the left elbow at the the target during impact has helped me from pull hooking it
Bro I’m with you full changed my game off the tee
You've been a huge inspiration. All I wanna see is you get better and get it going bro
that last drive was glorious!! your swing is looking great bro keep grinding 💪
I love this video... the exact thing im working on is shallowing out my swing for a more in to out path.... Def the weirdest feel, but man when you trust the swing path, they look and feel amazing.
Garrett love the direction your swing is headed in. Keep your Tempo smooth and you're on the right track! Love the content!
From one Bradley to another, good call.
Its all about the love of the game. Keep that in mind while building this new swing. Good luck brother.
I love how u are working on ur swing and then in the background u see Steven helping bubbie with his video I love to see that you guys all help each other when you need help with a vidio
Moneyyyyyy video. Bradley coming in clutch! Bubbie and Steve in the back! Can’t wait for the next vid big dawg
Bro Garrett you make amazing videos I’ve watched you for a year and a half and I’ve loved your videos the whole time keep the great videos up!!
Bradley’s channel is lit btw
Love the content G, keep it up!!
Love your vids keep up the good content
Definitely enjoying this content 👏🏼
the easiest way to think of it: the start line of the ball is based on the path. The curvature of the ball flight is based on the club face in relation to your path. So essentially, if the club face is square to the target on every swing, the ball will naturally curve back to the target based on the direction on the path. If it is an out to in swing with an open face to the path, the ball will cut. If it is an in to out swing with a closed face to the path, the ball will draw. Based on the swings i saw in this range session, you are producing a nice in to out swing which will create your desired "push draw" ball flight. But one tip i have is to give yourself room by stepping back from the ball slightly. the more room you give yourself, the less you will get cuffed at impact and the more consistent results you will see. It will be a slight learning curve finding the bottom of the swing since you will be moving further from the ball. But you play/practice enough and have more than enough hand-eye coordination that you can find the optimal impact zone in 30 minutes. Hope this helps you or anyone else reading!
It’s awesome to see your lesson/lessons paying off. I’m actually working on the same thing and I too use my divots as an indicator. There are so many different ways to swing the club it’s cool to see someone else being taught the same as me.
Keep grinding my guy! Swing is looking good!
Love the grind
Hey garret I just wanted to say that I love you and your the reason I got into golf almost 3 years ago, now I’m consistently coming top 5 in my tournaments!
You’re an absolute legend Garrett, your subscriber numbers are going through the roof as well, much deserved bro
Progress looks great Garret! Keep it up
Love the content of you taking the game seriously
Awesome I love the fact that you read comments and are putting the work in to get better. The sky’s the limit. 2021 Tig is going down lol
A tip for hitting from the inside, try to hold your back to the target for a fraction longer in your downswing. Naturally, when we want to hit the ball "hard" we tend to do it with our chest/torso/shoulders. We spin open a fraction too soon which brings the arms and club out because your left shoulder pulls your left arm with it. If you hold your shoulders closed for a fraction longer while you're making your downswing transition and weight shift, you'll naturally bring your arms and club down inside slightly more where you can then turn and hit it hard.
Love to see you working on your game!! Keep it up. bro
Great sesh Garrett. I love all videos where you and/or Tig talk golf swing. Lot of us golf nerds eat up this content.
Speaking of Tig, now that's a dude that comes from the inside. #slotted
keep at it Bud! We all just grinding!! looks good!
Sweet vid! loved the angle of the shots we got!
Love the serious grinds
Swing looking good bro! Also i know your not taking comments from us in the viewer seats, but when you watch this back you’ll see that your big mistake swings start when you take the club back. Just seems like your missing your line to start your backswing. Either way your crushing it, keeping it dialed, and myself and everyone of your subscribers are excited to see this keep progressing to your final swing.👍👊
I like the slower back swing and gives you more tempo and it looked like you were striking those better
The swing is look really, really good. I think on those ones you flushed with the 4i, you go back and look at them, you are getting separation between your hips and shoulders in your downswing and that's letting your hips start clearing with your back to the target just for a split second longer. When you get that separation, your shoulders are square to the target or slightly closed, and that's what is letting you get the in to out path. Pretty much every shot you overcooked left from is just looking like your hips and shoulders are starting to move at the same time in the downswing. Get that separation just a touch, feel like your back is to the target while your hips start to unwind, it's going to be money every time. Justin Rose always seems to practice that back to the target feeling in his preshot routine. Love video's like this, gives me ideas how to practice better on the range
Now thats what we like to see. Pure swings and you improving Cant wait to see what it brings you
Can i just say that the range videos are my favorite videos on this channel please keep them comming👍👍👍🏌️♂️🏌️♂️🏌️♂️
That ball flight is the best I’ve seen you ever hit, keep the practice going!!
Yo, I’m loving the content. I’ve been trying to teach myself the same thing so it’s good to listen to you explain it!
Love these videos !
I'm glad you're going to be posting more content on your progression, I enjoy watching serious gameplay
When does Sunday matches season 2 start?
Garret said never
Yeah I thought we were getting a sunday match today
they had to get 21k on the 48th match and I don't think they have gotten it yet
Good stuff hommie. I been working on the same thing lately. I find that a deeper hip turn, timing and WEIGHT more in my HEALS help me to get down AND STAY DOWN!
Looking forward to seeing the evolution of your game legend!💪👍
love these road to pro videos. love from uk
Loved this range session cool to see as well because I am working on the same exact thing currently. Trying to stop going over towards the ball line and creating more of a shallow downswing.
Good job. Great sesh. look forward to watching you progress.
Swing is looking really good! Keep the focus!!
going thru the same thing. steep over the top swing. hitting better and pure now..shallow and from the inside with a baby draw..keep at it!!
Love the progression and work. Sky is the limit man
G money i hope you dont get frustrated, i know you love seeing progress and it’s definitely happening but just dont get down if it doesn’t happen right away, changing a swing and getting bombarded with info about your swing is difficult and then trying to execute it is even more difficult. Love seeing you take your game seriously because the coach is right, you definitely have the skill to go pro. Can’t wait to watch more range sessions!!
This is great. Still looking forward to the Sunday matches though.
I was just working on the same move. My coach gave me this tip to keep my hands closer to me right in the beginning of the backswing. And it helped me a lot with getting more shallow.
Had the same issue myself of coming over the top. Am a good player but wanted to be more consistent. I worked with a top teacher in Michigan and he had me run a crazy drill to ensure I was hitting from the inside: Take out an 8 iron, align the ball with your right foot as opposed to the middle of your stance. At address the club should be severely closed (looks like a 4 iron degree instead of an 8 iron degree at this point). He then told me to keep swinging until I hit a pure draw. I topped the first 3. If u set this up, you'll see why. Spent hours hitting this drill and took it to the course. I played my worst round in years as most do after a swing change. However I stuck with it and within a few weeks, I finally stopped thinking about my swing and just started hitting pure shots. To be a better player this change is a must. Good luck! Wishing you better swings and scores
I’m working on the same thing right now. Crazy to see other people grinding through the repetitions. I think about it as whipping the club head behind me on the downswing. You’re doing great and can’t wait the see the top tier content because of your hard work.
Great job Garrett, looks like you are making strides, looking forward to progression.
I love these videos so much
Yup, I see the difference in your swing already my guy. Looking good!
That was a very good video for me to learn some great things
I had this problem too. What helped me the most was when I started taking it back a bit straighter, then at the top i began to drop it inside to make it shallow, instead of taking it back inside and then trying to keep it inside.
This is some quality ish right here🤙
