Now THIS is how you do a video. No nonsense. No intro. No stupidity. This guy is a blessing to all. He is actually HELPFUL. So much of these DIY are worthless or self promoting. I signed in JUST so I can thumbs up this and SHARE it. So rare to see a professional. I hope your business doubles !!
How you do a video? This guy did the job before filming then explained after the fact. Your a moron
I hate how to and tip videos that have a 10 minute intro. Straight to the point.
I can give you more than one reason not to do this
stratforward no nonsense first video i've ever commented on thanks for the help. in a world of trying to save water i can understand that washing mashems my be developed to use less water. but i think it's more about trying to sell more detergent to cover up the smell of your clothes than using water to get ithe smell out.
Man this is how you do a video Straight Forward. Thank You young Man. Can you let me know how to do this on my MIDEA high Efficiency top load with glass top door. I bought it in 2021. It has a setting press button that says water plus but it sometimes add additional water but most of the time it don’t.
Can you show how to remove the blue samsung sensor housing without breaking it.
Top video buddy, all the information I needed.
Great video brother. I'm learning a lot from watching your channel. Keep up the great work!
Thank you brother
@@LeanOnYourRep Hello I have a new LG 5.2 Front loader, if I turn it clockwise a half turn is that like an extra gallon?
The Bosch Siemens (Compact Bosch washers) have the same type of sensor in the plastic enclousure. Someone said this will only raise the rinse level. But you're showing both the Wash AND Rinse levels are raised? Thanks so much.
Great video
Love the straight forwardness
Question: does this work on a Whirlpool duet ! Thank you
Samsung does not wash closes, it only dampens them. I have resorted to putting the washer cycle to "spin and rinse", then selecting "no spin". this gives me a 6 minute cycle, but the water level comes up to the bottom of the door. I repeat this cycle (with soap) 3-4 times, basically sitting in the bathroom and restarting the washer every time. When the clothes have actually washed, I change the setting to "medium spin" to finish the wash.
I also switch the water hoses because the "rinse and spin' cycle is only cold water, by switching the hoses I get hot water. This is all a pain but it is a solution to the garbage Samsung sells.
OMG! I do EXACTLY the same thing with my LG! ALL OF IT!
This adjustment will not effect the any part of machine like sensor or pump etc
How did you remove the housing?.
Great video, I love listening to you -- you're so articulate, right to the point. What I would like to know is if there is a way to disable the lid-lock on a new GE washer. I HATE lid-lock!!
You unscrew the tab on the lid and put it in the hole where it usually goes, and leave it there.
Is there a way to do this on a top load Maytag washer?
Thank you so much for keeping it short. I'm definitely trying this because I have a brand new washer that just DOES NOT get clothes clean and I'm too late to return it, so I end up washing them twice. Now, how is THAT saving us any water?
Already did that to my washer but still don’t see much water like that video
Good afternoon, sir. I recently purchased GE front loader washer ultrafresh. Can you plz do a video on how to increase the water level.
How about Electrolux?...seems the switch is one piece of molded plastic....no adjustment screw...thanks!....Update!. ..discovered how to gently pry the plastic cover off intact...made the adjustment...and gently snapped the unit back in to the housing....voila!....more water!😊
Same problem. I was looking forward to doing this but realized the Electrolux is different.
THa nks you. Can you adjust the water level switch while the machine is turned off, or must the adjustment be made while it is running?
Hi, This manual change of water level will applicable for normal program or all program? Because some programs like bedsheets use full water level & manual change can lead to overflowing.
Good question. I get normal water levels (to bottom of door) when I use the "rinse and spin" cycle repeatedly (see comment above), but don't get proper water levels in most other setting.
I wish you had shown us how to take the cover off. Officially broke my blue cover trying to remove it. Oh well.
I have a Maytag , any tip on how to take apart the housing unit apart?
So I did this on my LG machine tonight. Did two full turns and did a small load of clothes. First time very they smelled truly clean. Decided to do a tub clean cycle to see if I found get it fresher smelling. Then the water leaked out the bottom of the door. No leaks while washing clothes, leaks while washing the tub. Fluke maybe? Did another tub cycle and stood there. Nope definite leaking.
Why no leaks with clothes but leaks with clean setting? I don't wanna turn it down and it doesn't work but also don't want it to leak everywhere ugh.
Tub seal is bad. Tub clean adds alot of water than nomal cycles.
Thanks for the tip I almost trashed my washer thinking something was wrong with it.
No problem, glad i could help
Please
Be carful it’s on 😱 ty tho
Hello thank you for your video its very halpfull however what if its the opposite ? My LG washer fills too much actually it doesnt stop filling its like there is no enough pressure from the tank to the sensor
I've got a Samsung front load washer that's setting a 4E code that I cannot figure out. Do you know where I can find the pressure switch voltage or what the ohm readings are supposed to be? All the screens are clean and valves seem to allow water in.
Will you please tell me how to adjust the water level on a portable? Panda 6320 to be exact. Where is the adjustment on it?
I am a bit shy to do this. Can I just put water manually in there through the detergent box until I am doing this?
That may not work because, once it gets past the factory level, it will start emptying it out (in my experience, anyway...)
Tank you very much for the info mister Denzel Washington. 😃👍
Thank you very much. I have a 2 year old Electrolux washer, do you know if it has a similar level adjustment module?
Tanks for all your help but i been trying to fill more my washer machine samsum fresh vent this model is 2017 i open the machine but I couldnt fine the sensor for the water
And what do I have to do for a sealed in screw ?
Do Whirlpool washers have the same thing?
How do you remove the housing to get to the screw that turns?
Upper rear back on most machines
Thank You.
water hoses are perfectly fine. front loader washer always take little water to wash. I want my washer to fill up until half so that clothes could wash properly. Is there any way that I increase the water level?
So how much would you charge to come to Boston area to do this? Lol But seriously, do you know of an appliance repair shop/person in the Boston area that you could recommend that would do this?
Love this video , please tell me how to do this on a Bosch front loader as I opened the top lid but I cannot find the water level switch , unless it looks different on my machine . Your help will be immensely appreciated.
This doesn't help on some washers, but first thing to do is try to find the pressure switch. Just follow that little rubber hose to the pressure switch
It’s literally the same as this video but like oh it has no cover.
Are the Kenmore Elite front loafers designed the same
Is this the same for a kenmore 600 series. ???
Nice, super info👍
Do you have video doing the same thing for Whirlpool duet front load?
Thank you for this info, do you have any info how to do this on a GE top loader?
Hi there!! Thank you for the informative video! Do you know if Bosch washers have this same feature inside? We did it with our LG front loader years ago and we are thinking of buying Bosch.
Bosch has it in the same area and it’s exposed like the lg. no cover
How much will you charge to do my washer if you located in Baltimore
I have an LG, and trying to increase the water amount. I'm not having to much luck wm2455hg. what is the name of the part that you turn to make the adjustment. Maybe the machine is too old. Are the steps the same on all models
How do I adjust the water level on a top loader? The washer i have has a sender but it's put very little water not enough to even get all the clothes wet.
So top loaders if you just simply wet your clothes before you start the load then the weight sensor will think it needs more water because it's heavier. You can do this by yourself with sink, or start a load without soap ect. Get clothes wet, then cancel load. Add soaps and then start load as normal.
thank you! thank you!
Your Welcome 😊
Well, this method work with an Electrolux front load washer?
What about whirlpool front loader.. Where is the same thing on a whirlpool I cant find mine
Thank you for your video. I have a question - we just bought a new Samsung front load washer. My husband was going to change the water level for me but the screw you need to turn is, for lack of better description, sealed in some red stuff. Can we pick that out and then change the water level without hurting the machine? Thank you, Holly
Yes. I’ve read about people chipping/ picking the red stuff out to gain access to the screw. It’s fine
While doing this setting LG machine gives Input water error IE. It has inbuilt fix timer how to resolve that issue?
It doesn't have timer alteration setting.
To resolve this issue I fill water externally and then machine completes cycle.
I put a new door gasket and replaced a broken spring. But know my washer just keeps filling with water do you know what that could be?
No description how to remove housing...how do you do this looks impossible, cut my hand trying to pry of very sharp plastic
Very simple, remove 3 screws from the back and slide lid back then lift up
Hello... I have a hotpoint washing machine.. i tried to open it after I watched your video.. can i email you the picture? It looks the same but not sure if thats the water level sensor
Maytag MHW6630HW2 low flow in the middle of cycle only when using extra power and only when is loaded to max looks like timer is to short because all the water goes first into clothes after spin and doesn’t detect water in time next thing I see low flow (water pressure is excellent everything is good valves have been replaced water pressure sensor was replaced) any fix basically timer to short in the middle
Is there a spec for this? I'd like to know what the factory recommends, just as a starting point (I've already adjusted mine). BTW, I can think of one reason you would NOT want to do this, or at least be conservative with it. AFAIK, all of these front-load washers have an aluminum 3-legged brace that supports the inner tub (the "spider"). Being exposed to water and detergent, these spiders eventually corrode and fail. Just a guess, but increasing the wash water level might increase the rate of this corrosion. (Or, it might *decrease* it by diluting the soap in the water.) Which reminds me...increasing the amount of water without increasing the amount of detergent you put into the machine...wouldn't that dilute the wash water? Possible to the point where it doesn't clean as well? Thanks for the post.
Thanks for the info how do you do it on a Maytag MVW6200KW top load washer unfortunately I had to get a new one last week i checked the section with all the rpm and other info before I bought it and it didn't say HE I get it home and bam 3 inches of water
Can you do this on a ge 850 front load washer
HI there,
I know no one who can help me regarding it. I have Samsung front loader washer and It take so little water that detergent does not even clean up properly from clothes. Will I be able to do it myself?
I would start by checking your hoses make sure they're not pinched, the little filters that the hose is attached to, make sure they're not clogged and also check your water pressure
Can you tell me if this is possible on maytag maxima front load thanks
Do you have a hack to fill the top loaders with more water?
Probably the same. All washers have a water pressure switch.
Hello I have a whirlpool wtw5000dw1 it doesn't fill but a couple of inches with water. Can I make it more water thanks
How to do this on LG laundry tower.
What if it doesn’t stop filling after I turned the screw?
How about a new maytag front loader...not enough water..
I have a Kenmore Elite HE4T but I can’t find the screw🤷🏽😕
Can you do this to a speed queen front loader?
will this ruin the 1 year warranty?
Yes
I have a frigidaire FAFS4073NA model with 4C serial number code. I have recently replaced the water level pressure switch and there is barely any water fill. There is no adjustment screw or any other adjustments that I can find to solve this problem. A second pressure switch replacement did not help. What is the work around for a clothes washer that does NOT have have the factory calibration setting screw?
I don't have your washer but, here's a trick that should work. Remember, the switch senses increasing pressure as the water level rises. As the water rises, it compresses the air above it and that controls the switch. I'm guessing you'll have 3/16 or 1/4" inside diameter hose (or the metric equivalent).
If you put a nylon "T" hose fitting in between the top of the hose and the pressure switch, and add, say, a foot of hose to it (cap it off at the end of the extra hose!), you will be adding volume to the top of that column of air. That means it will take more water to compress that switch and that delay will allow your water to rise. It will take some experimentation on how long or short that extra hose should be.
How do u remove the housing
Hi, I have question: does Miele washing machines from the “W” series (more recent models) have the option to raise the water level, or is it different and can’t be changed? Many have these machines and I’m guessing they would also like to do this.
Please reply, and maybe do a video for everyone to see if possible.
Hope you see this comment
You shouldn't mess with factory settings bro
No one mentioned how handsome he was. I rewound the video just to see him one more time. I can’t care less of those HE washers.
Know let me tell you why you shouldn't mess with factory settings..
Dang, I could not get the housing off. Any suggestions?
LG are easier to do
Terimskasih, thanks
I’ve done this on mine but find the element doesn’t seem to heat the water hot as the setting. Is it because the machine only kicks the element to the factory set setting time or doesn’t matter! What I’m saying if you add loads of water will the element still heat to 60c regardless of the water level.
I dont know, but I think it should because the washer won't run until the temp is reached
Geez, I was looking for that years ago
what if I stripped the water level switch?
Replace, if a new part is to expensive, search ebay for a used one
What if its striped?
Then just replace, should cost less than $40
I did this to my Electrolux machine this afternoon and now it throws an error code E11. Any suggestions?
Uh oh. I've been thinking of getting an Electrolux front load washer and doing this modification. Goddamn computer crap!
I am on my fourth samsung washer cause i have had them in every house before and I am sick of them not taking any water. I did do this on a 2011 model. That was before they had the blue housing, I am going to do it on the current one I have. i manually add water with buckets but the damn thing just drains it. It makes me furious!. it refuses to wash clothes with water, so i am going to tweak it. i do wish you showed us how to remove that blue tamper seal. That is what I came here to see.
Your clothes dont have to be completely submerged like top loaders like everyone thinks it does. They come totally clean with an inch or 2 of water at the bottom... Did you wind up adjusting it?
I add water also but you have to wait till it fills and the soap is dispensed, hit pause and open/add water (2-3 gals) then start. About 3 mins after start on permanent press, before it locks you out.
If you add at the beginning the machine drains because it thinks the last load didn't drain.
My machine is stacked or I would do this work around.
I will be replacing this machine and will not buy a front load, they have ruined what used to be a great type of washer 20 yrs ago!
Jan
We did this on our GE and now it doesn't drain all the way. Can we adjust the drain pump.
yup thats what happens . the drain pump is programed for a certain amout of water and you cant adjust that . just leave it has it is here in europe wii only have front load washers . and never had any problems with mold bad smell etc......
I don't think I can do this in my Electrolux. The switch looks different.
I could not do it on my ElectroLux either, so I ad more water through soap compartment with an external water hose from the sink.
I have a ge front loader made in 2010, it has a maroon colored mechanical level switch with 2 levels I believe. There is a vertical row of 3 screws bottom one being small and does adjust the water level but it also has 2 more screws on the switch . I messed with them all long time ago when I didn't know what I was doing and should have marked off where they were. I reset them based off pictures from other ones. I can't find a darn video on here that shows what any of these 5 screws do. I found one where they adjusted the water level with the one screw but I'm not sure if you would have to adjust any other screw as well. I'll link that video here Incase you or anyone wants to see what kind of switch I'm taking about. Thank you in advance.

Hi I have a 417.41122410 Kenmore front load washer I want to get more water level
