The oats add that crispy taste ) Like i say in the video, crumble and crisp are very similar, the only difference is that oats are added to the crisps instead of just sugar, butter and flour mix )
I've been looking for fresh rhubarb for some time and finally found some yesterday. I just put this together and it's in the oven right now. I sure hope it tastes even 1/2 as good as it looks.
@@BreadedAM Oh it turned out so good. I sent 1/2 of it home with my daughter for her family and when she came back a few days later she said Adrian, my son-in-law wanted more. I said you've got to be kidding it, what I didn't already give you didn't last through the night🤣. I had to give her a huge slice of chocolate chips banana bread for him. He likes the bread but asked me when I was going to make more strawberry rhubarb stuff. It's grocery shopping day tomorrow so my fingers are crossed that I can find more rhubarb to make another batch or 2. If I can find the rhubarb I just might get a bunch and freeze it for when it's nearly impossible to find. I used to be able to find it frozen in Kroger but haven't been able to find it for several years now. Could be coz of covid I guess. I may have to look I to growing my own.
