There is a very distinct difference between being a cat person/lady, and being a cat snob. I've never paid money for any animal, all of mine have either been rescued or free (with the exception of adoption fees). The 2 cats I have right now were found on a farm as kittens and brought to the Humane Society where we got them. They are perfect little kitties, and they are both better than these snobby cats. Little Miss SugaBear brought me the loveliest little field mouse this morning, even making sure it was dead before dropping it in the middle of the kitchen floor where my husband found it. She then came in my room and woke me up with sweet meows, biscuit making, and wet kisses, which I assume included some field mice juice. 😉

Agreed, but to be fair, if nobody bred cats there wouldn't be any Bengals or Maine Coons or Russian Blues, just random-bred domestic short-hairs. I'm all for *responsible* breeding. Which includes refusing to overbreed animals, in both senses of the word.
@@Tindometari yes, ethical, responsible, and reputable preservation breeders are not responsible for the homeless cat population. Purebred cats make up an extremely tiny percentage of the world's domestic/feral cat population.
Wow it's a sweet little puddy cat! I can't believe this! We have 6 cats we found at dumpsters or abandoned in boxes! WHO spends $3,000 on a cat! That $$ could have gone to the SPCA!
Few thoughts about Mrs Burke. There is an obvious reason why she had to go all the way to Kansas to get a cat. She is the kind of nurse that invites fear into the heart of patients. She should never own another animal for threatening euthanasia for not meeting standards in her reality.
One factor that may not be apparent: kittens won’t display their final coloring and markings until a year or more in age. If you want specific physical traits, there’s inherent risk when you select a young kitten. My family has a Ragdoll cat whose parents were cat show champions and she was mostly just white when we took her home at 12 weeks old. The distinctive bicolor Ragdoll markings only started to show up when she was 12+ months old. We’re not cat show people-our cat is just a wonderful companion-but I wanted to mention the risk Ms. Burke assumed in this transaction. As the breeder mentioned, if you’re looking for specific physical traits, you need to get an older cat. Another factor that went by in the hearing but wasn’t covered in depth: a breeding cat typically costs much more than a cat which gets spayed/neutered. You might pay $500-750 for a rare breed show cat which you spay/neuter, but $1500+ for such a cat which you can also breed. With our Ragdoll this was written into the contract; we had to spay within 6 months or pay the difference in price. When Ms. Burke neutered Zeke on her own accord she basically threw away that difference. Finally, Ms. Burke complained about Zeke’s behavior. That’s probably because Zeke is a living, feeling being and I’m going to assume that the woman treated him like garbage. I really hope Zeke has found a home where he’s loved. I thought the judge’s $800 ruling was more than generous. Ms. Burke assumed risk and there’s no way she deserved a full refund PLUS her travel costs. That’s absurd.
100% on all the above. We bred persians and wanted to get into tabbies and we purchased a "show quality" kitten who ended up having a white chin when she matured which rendered her useless as a show or breeder. She was a great pet however.....The funny thing was, she had all champion markings everywhere else except for her white chin.
@@muskokamike127 Mike, what is wrong with you?!? First, you’re unfixing neutered males; now you’re breeding tabbies? Tabbies aren’t a breed; they’re a pattern. Many cat breeds can be tabbies. The beastie in my avatar, a DMH junk cat, is a torbie, or patched tabby. Tabbies and black cats date back to ancient Egypt. They’re the original cats. Feral cats eventually revert to brown tabby or black. There, you’ve learned something today 😻.
Aww, memories. My first purebred kitten-actually, my daughter’s, who worked odd jobs at 10 to pay for him-was a cryptorchid flame point Ragdoll. Wonderful boi who lived to be 23. May your grrrl grace your home and heart for that long.

Oh my god she is just on a mission. She needs to grow up and move in. What about Zeke? She doesnt want him after the cat has been with them for how long? - wow.
As someone who hopes to a certain type of purebred dog one day it is a concern that I might not choose the best pup. It's common sense that an animal changes as it grows. Eye colour cannot be predicted, nor can a lot of factors. She wasn't even planning on breeding or showing the animal! She should not be awarded anything as she's not losing anything.
I finally figured out "Miss Alabama" is saying, "Bengal" cat, and not "Bingo"!! For awhile there I thought there were two cats, one called "Zeke", and one called "Bingo".

I don't know how I stumbled across this channel but I'm totally hooked !!!
Oh God, the mention of "cage-raised" in Benson's closing statement solidified my opinion that this case belongs in criminal court and they're both guilty of breeding cats when there are zillions of shelter cats our there needing homes.
I love this judge. I practice here and he is very patient and fair
She said she’s going to kill Zeke! 😮😢 why can’t she put him up for adoption? What an awful person. 😡
Just got to the disrespectful cat part and I'm wheezing 🤣💀
I actually like this more than when lawyers are present this was like judge judy 😂
If she altered the cat (got it neutered), she cannot return it!
Sounds like Tracey is treating this poor kitten like an 'ugly, red headed step child!' Maybe that's why it hasn't bonded to HER!
Few thoughts about Mrs Burke. There is an obvious reason why she had to go all the way to Kansas to get a cat.
She is the kind of nurse that invites fear into the heart of patients.
She should never own another animal for threatening euthanasia for not meeting standards in her reality.
Tracy Burke gives me strong Cruella de Vil vibes
Judge to himself , “Is it too late to enroll in a trade school?”
100% agree with all of your points
100% this woman strikes me as someone who would not treat Zeke as he deserved. She couldn’t even remain respectful to the judge at any point in the case. Her husband probably needs a welfare check. You’ll find him on the front porch flat in front of the door. Guy needs to get away from that awful woman.
I got to watch the whole stupid and funny thing live! Now at 5.10 am I shall go to bed at long last!
I have a rescue, cost me $5 to adopt from the humane society, he has green eyes, a perfect cat specimen. I'm offended by that cat lady.
Mine cost $0 from the previous owner, a friend, and is perfect for me - clingy, but sweet, always following me around. She's ok when I leave my apartment, though, although she does want to go with (until she gets outside the door lol).
I don't know if I would put a lot of trust in somebody who threatens to put a cat down because they don't behave like a "show cat".
My husband’s parents raised and showed Boxers. Those animal show people are nutty as a fruitcake 😂
Telling point: When Burke was closing, Benson sat almost as still as a statue. When Benson was closing, Burke couldn't stop making faces, gestures and rolling her eyes. She loses.
As an Alabamian... We do NOT claim her.
imagine disappointing this lady as her child
She probably neutered them, too!
@@brittanylevinson741 lol!
Tracy, you have had this cat for almost two years?!! You’ve fed him, watched him sleep, interacted with him. How dare you disrupt this boy Zeke’s life! … Well, better yet, Zeke needs a better home than with your crazy a$$!
Oh my god she is just on a mission. She needs to grow up and move in. What about Zeke? She doesnt want him after the cat has been with them for how long? - wow.
My cat has a yellow eye the other is blue he couldn’t make up his mind lol 😂xxx
he has green eyes if you put them together! :D
I would have loved to see Judge Webster’s version of this trial
Alabama woman reminds of Carol Burrnet in her skit with Momma. Lol
Ms.Burk reminds me of "Carol Burnett's, Mama's family"😂
That’s the accent!! Thank you!! 😂😂😂
Thanks!
What is with this crazy woman's resentment towards the cat. Poor Zeke definitely needs a better home where he will be loved and spoiled!
I felt like she was going to ask for the judges manager at any second.
Hold this Karen in cattempt!
Hahaha 🤣😂
😹
53:55 It sounds to me like the cats parents didn't bring it up properly! 😹😹😹😹
The fact that she has to get rid of a cat because of how it looks shows how low this lady is.
He just moewed, "you're not my mom!"
Mike God forbid I'm ever in zoom court, but if I am I'm shouting you out lowkey
I promise it won't have anything to do with cats.
Oof, I feel for anyone who has to deal with that lady in any capacity, on any level, ever in their life. She just BEAMS entitlement.
Watching Tracy Burke is like watching someone audition for the part of a mom on The Big Bang Theory. This lady would fit right in with those moms
I finally figured out "Miss Alabama" is saying, "Bengal" cat, and not "Bingo"!! For awhile there I thought there were two cats, one called "Zeke", and one called "Bingo".
Omg she still uses AOL email?!?! I thought that didn't exist anymore?!?! 😂😂😂😂
But she chose the 🐈 , out of several kittens 😸
I had a Blue eyed Samoyed!! Bought him sunglasses ❤ he wore them !😂
Next up: Zeke files restraining order against crazy human mommy. 🧑⚖😾
I don’t know which was better, the video or the chat. Thanks for the entertainment
Cat Karen is quite the Interior Decorator.
Hahahaha!!
When she said she was from Alabama, I thought “the curtains check out” 😂
Mike you’re trying way too hard to think of these puns 😂😂😂
Its disgusting that this crazy lady wants to put down this poor kitten.
Mike, the judge is wide awake. He's just suppressing his urge to laugh hysterically. 😂
Mike as mind numbing as this is I love it. Great case and entertaining lunatics.
I have known several cat ladies they all are unforgettable characters 😜🤣🤣
I hope someone talks over her 🤣 so we can see her claw those curtains to pieces. Meow meow 😀
Lol AOL wow. Should be AWOL. I can't believe I made it through this entire video.
Maybe eke doesn’t like her because he senses how she feels about him
So I guess this cat is NOT standing on his papers since he’s been neutered.
Im worried about the cat that lady has no love for it
Tracy is 9 cats in a human suit doing a pretty good job
maybe humanity would be better off if we had a harder time surviving day to day. Then we might not be tramatized by a cat's eyes not being green enough.
I am crushed that I missed this live chat!!!!! Hilarious!!!
20:05 wait, she neutered the cat cause it’s genes weren’t good enough? 😂 Is that considered feline eugenics?
The entire pet industry is one big eugenics party.
@@remliqa accurate. Seems to me she couldn’t breed the cat for money so she snipped him.
No wonder Dorothy got out of Kansas. The tornado was just a cover story.
Seriously with all of the fraud and substandard cats I don’t know how anyone can stay there😂
@@LawTalkWithMike one word. Catastrophic. PS probably my favorite episode to date. This one goes in the “best of Mike” for the year. Thanks for keeping me company on my way back from my shows!
Happy Memorial Day to Mike and Natalie, and to all of the LTWM crew. Love you all!
This Karen wouldn't be happy if she won the lottery six times in two weeks. Always looking for a fight? You'll always find one. She is a prototype of the very worst type of Southern female.
They neutered that cat. They damaged the product. They should not get a full refund. And she chose that kitten. And no animal is guaranteed show quality.
If she wasnt planning on showing or breeding the cat, as long as his lineage shows he is actually an egyptian mau (and from the sounds of the exhibits it seems as if Zeke does come from Mau lineage) why does it matter that his eye color disqualifies him from being shown?
She LOOKED at the cat before buying it, right? RIGHT?
Methinks buyers remorse and this woman is out of her damned mind. Terrifying she is in healthcare.
I thought show cats had fancy names, not something as simple as Zeke. Heck, I have a rescue tabby and ger name is Pixi, Scourge of Dust Bunnies, Mistress of the Underbed Realm, Her Floofiness!
My understanding is that "Pet names" are common, I had a breed quality cat as a kid (her breeder was a family friend), her certificate named her as " Coonawarra Sunny scow" - we simply called her Fleur.
