Can we stop for a moment and just appreciate how good their Ana was? Tried her best to keep facetanking statue alive, good nades on Mauga, which led to elims, nice sleep darts.

This left me thinking "guaranteed they don't realize how many of their elims are only because of sleeps and heal cancels. 'This is all me.'"

Time in between going for Zen was so long he had ult again even though he was killable the entire fight lol
Playing dva in no limits and open queue helped me a lot. Learning to play her without depending on supports and less health mostly.
I agree!!! Whenever i want to learn (hampter currently) or practice tanks, I'll load up a no limits

So when people decided to submit a replay, I wonder if they actually watched it and think they did what they think the best from their perspective ? Replay doesn’t show the stats we judge it by fundamentals.If I’m this guy’s teammate ,it’s an instant avoid after the first point, not to mention never high ground Dva and C9 in the end.
Whenever he hooks, he backs up…doing less damage on the combo. Push forward with your hooks and finish them with a melee if they are low enough, or do it anyway, regardless. You push into and lead your hooks, you’ll be more efficient with them. Against a Mauga, yes, be careful, but even him, you’ll go more damage, especially if there’s a discord on him. When you hook dps, you’re more likely to kill them if you move forward rather than backwards and shoot their heads followed by a melee…sometimes the melee isn’t even needed.
But I just wanted to say that about backing up whenever he hooked. Bothered me. Not sure if emongg says anything about it cuz I’m not even 3 minutes in yet from when I commented this, but yeah. That’s my take about his Hog right away.
Not the hog gameplay where they walked backwards after EVERY SINGLE HOOK! Makes it impossible to one shot combo and hurt to watch lol

these videos have been SO helpful to me as a dva main, especially just getting back into the game after 3 years of no play. it's not much, but earlier today i happened to get dva on mystery heroes, and i didn't die once & really felt like i was able to make a huge impact on the game (with the healers' help), even after only like two weeks back in the game. i know mystery heroes with your main is kind of easy mode, but i felt like the other team was still very competent (and also had an undying roadhog), and i noticed after the fact that i had been taking cover and flying out when my health got too low so the healers could heal me. i was trying to do that before, but now i don't even have to think about it and it happens. i was so confused when i first watched one of these videos and you were telling a dva to take the high ground, but i totally get it now, and even though i'm still working on that, i've gotten a lot out of these videos. thank you SO MUCH for helping me feel like i'm good at this game again :)

I agree I statue sometimes out of pure nervousness/fear of losing a team fight lol but I will absolutely work on it. I’ll submit a vid again in a couple months and hopefully I’ve improved by then😂
As a previous Dva main and now just someone who buys dva stuff and plays her sometimes. I wouldnt play Dva into mauga and zen. Dva is way too squishy for that and most ppl wont just play moira and bap to keep up a whole dva for one fight yk..

Dva has the best matchup on Mauga of all the tanks. She can eat his damage which is his primary sustain tool, especially during his roar. Zarya is one of the only other tanks who doesn't have a losing matchup.
@@secretlyaslug2325 Meh. She's ok. Sig not only has an eat, but also a shield, more damage, and a rock to help land cooldowns on Mauga.

I'll take Sig over DVA 100% of the time.
DVA main here. Yes and no. In terms of one on one, Zen is pretty squishy against her, especially if you combo burst him. It’s almost an instant elimination. If they have another support healing them, forgot it. It will be a 50% toss up and if you come on top, you’ll most likely be at low HP. In the end, it is very situational and angle/position specific. Same for Mauga. Good for countering him, but don’t face tank. You’ll always loose head on since he has more bullets than your DM. Again, it’s always positioning and angles.
@@MiraiKei yeah, ive been playing dva more lately and shes pretty good against mauga i just have to learn how to flick my dm on. Which i think im doing pretty dope at so. But yeah

“But I got POG” is the equivalent of stating your KDA and stats after you lost the game…….sure some stuff is some what of an indicator but I’ve seen some games were people swap and stats change that or when for example a teammate playing reaper just popping their tank over and over instead of just flanking squishies no pog or anything I saw this man just make the enemy tanks life miserable and we won the game cause of him damage wasn’t really high no pog dude just made it so we could keep the point secured and I respect that

as a console player, i just recently reached diamond on tank after literally never playing tank, after reset i was placed higher than ever and am having the hardest time climbing my support back to high diamond from plat and its literally the worst grind of my life lols. i hope this dva can watch some vods of their gameplay and try and see where they went wrong on their own. having insight is always good but you’re not gonna be able to improve if you genuinely don’t see what your doing wrong

Being great at something is just a matter of perspective. You can be a great soccer player at your club, except that's 4 divisions lower than the national professional league. By their standards your sht. By the standards of your club you are great.
Also if you are unaware of what your doing wrong, how can you think that your not doing great?

Watching this a month late, but I'm always baffled when Emongg forgets that Bronze plays Bronze. When the Bronze play actually gets them a win, he's like "okay well that somehow worked for you" but he's a Masters players-- he'll never understand the play of the bronze league. It's a mess and yet a winner will always come out on top because we have our own stratssss
The first thing I'd say to these players first off is no matter if you win or lose, your attitude needs a check. If you are lower than high diamond it is not your teammates that need work but your gameplay. don't blame your team for their faults, look at how you can play better because there are people (like myself) who used to be low gold but are now Diamond+ just from the attitude change and realizing their personal gameplay needed improvement. It's a positivity thing I learned from Emongg

Even though I'm silver this is exactly how I play DVA. I always thought I was being too aggressive so I reverted to statue DVA but now I know I just need to practice mobility. I tried to apply this to my game by finding a priority everytime I would usually go statue DVA and I noticed a big improvement, hoping to keep it up and practice

overwatch is a really easy game to run you could do it with a budget cpu and as low as like a 900 series gtx card

Yes better hardware will help you in some cases such as widow 1v1's/duels when you have higher fps, but ofcourse also requires the beter monitor. I did notice a huge difference between 60 fps gaming and 144 fps and it helped my aim get more consistent.
