I did my private training part 61. I didn't have any trouble with ground school or the written but preparing for the checkride was tough! I could barely sleep the night before.
I think making a distinction between part 61 and 141 is important. That was certainly what confused me alot. There seem to be less requirements for hours if you do 141. I'm doing part 61 though. I'm currently working on my private but hope to get it this summer!
